I actually took an hour long nap today. My head was killing me. It felt like someone was driving an a wedge into my skull. It started about where my hairline is, between my eyes. Then the pain went diagonally towards my left ear. All my headaches are motion activated, so they're okay if I can keep my head very, very, very still. You ever tried that? It's tough. And if you want to have something to relieve that headache, you have to have something in your stomach. Keep your head still while being able to lift food into your mouth and chew without moving your head. Yeah. I was able to stuff some food down my throat before I said "I'm nauseous," and grabbed a bucket. I took some Tylenol, said "Mom, wake me in an hour, please," and went up to my room and slept. Mom had me take my temperature before I was under the blankets too long. Is it bad if your temperature is 97.9 degrees?
So, I just woke up about 50 minutes ago. Then I finished my supper and came here and did my French homework while checking if any of my roleplays advanced enough for me to post again. Surprise, they didn't. It always seems to happen that when I don't have time, five pages of action takes place. When I do have time, almost NOTHING happens. Or, nothing that involves my character enough for me to post. Well, I haven't checked the Renaissance yet, but my character doesn't have anything to do there other than try to stay in the action by forcing her way into things. Yeah.
After this entry, I have to do a chemistry lab write-up. I'll probably try to get more gold off Gaia though, first. I don't know what I'll do, but I'm going to procrastinate on finishing my lab write-up.
I'm still really tired, so I shouldn't procrastinate too much. I am SOOOOO glad that I've been able to finish my math homework at school lately. It's soo much easier not having to carry that book around and having to do a few hours of homework a night. I still have to get a few drawings into my sketchbook. That's not too hard, though. All you have to do is make some scribbles that look like something and add notes to it like "fan blowing papers" or "make larger/stretch out farther." Yeah. Simple.
I should also try to memorize the Anthem and our school song for my lesson tomorrow. But I don't think I'm going to. I suck at memorizing music, and if that means he things that I don't practice than so be it. Without practicing I've managed to be section leader for a few years, and one of the higher chairs if I wasn't section leader. I don't quite know how that's possible if you don't practice, but it happened. For those of you who don't know (psh...like THAT many people read my journal....psh) I don't like being so high up. The part's always higher (I don't like playing higher) and people try to shove solos on you (I have a phobia about playing solos, which makes this next part absolutely delicious). So, I need a DIRECTOR for pit, NOT someone who sits there and plays piano and counts off one or two notes so you know the tempo. That doesn't help me. At all. I haven't ONCE played my whole part in pit. The most I've been able to manage is four or five notes here, 3 or four there, making for a total of eight or ten in that whole part. I know I shouldn't be complaining because other people have it harder than me, such as playing and instrument that isn't their own...or one close to theirs. You know who you are. Plus, it's like one major solo. I'm a flute playing Violin A. The other flute that plays Violin B has had driver's ed instead of pit. I'm alone. That means solo. That means me shaking so hard that that very well could've given me a headache. And me being so nervous that I could hardly play even when I wasn't lost. I think that the violin part shouldn't be practicing with the flute/clarinet part even if a flute is playing it. It should probably be with its fellow strings, like the cello and the viola. But that's just me. I know it's the second day of pit (actually the third, but the second one that we've played on) but these problems have been stressing me. And now I feel better after being allowed to rant on here.
The solo thing still makes me almost sick, but I think I'll be better when the other flute wannabe violin player's at pit practice. Except that's also making me nervous because I assume that she's excpecting me to know the parts that we've practiced enough to help her and I'm wishing she knew them well enough to help me. I smell a problem. But I can't do much about that except try to eat and sleep and do my other homework and not stress about pit on the third day of it.
Oh, and skipping pit for PHEASANT HUNTING doesn't make me feel better. I don't care how much you like to hunt, YOU DON'T DO THAT! (Here's where someone needs to say that he was joking...PLEASE?!)

Besides, once we get the actual piano player, he'll start directing, thank goodness. Half the time, the percussion doesn't play? Ever notice strange triangle hits or weird high hat hits? Yeah...we usually have no idea where we are...
Plus, once we actually practice with the cast, it should be a little easier to tell where we are in the music. The tempo is going to be wacky though, since the singers and the pit have to agree on the same speed. Wait, check that, we all have to agree with Mr. Frickstad's speed.
Keep plowing through it! Remember, we'll all in this together and we're all suffering the same problem as you!
