Ibiki: This will be an over night exercise, no food, no water, unless it's from nature. You must live on what you have here. It's a battle between you three. the first to get to me in the back of the forest wins, and yes, you can, and probably will have to use deadly force on each other. Nows the time to show what you've got.
Jenny: But what if we hurt each other? We are team mates. We shouldn't be trying to hurt each other!
Ibiki: This isn't the academy any more. I make the rules. This is to see what you can do. Now, unless you want to go back to the academy, I suggest you do what I say. Understood?
Jenny: Yes sir...
Ibiki: Good. In ten minutes you start. The staring signal will be coming from the middle of the forest. Everyone find a starting spot outside the line of trees.

They each did as they were told, as Ibiki headed into the forest. Daniel had never shown anyone his jutsu, and he wasn't planning to for a while. He actually had never sen Jenny's or Kim's either.

Daniel: this is going to get interesting...

They waited and waited for the starting signal, until they realized they didn't know what it was.

Jenny: He never told us what it was...

All of the sudden, a kunai with an explosive tape attached to it flew up into the air, then exploded. They all took off into the forest. Daniel stayed towards the left, while Jenny stayed in the center, and Kim to the right. They all eventually noticed that the trees were repeating.

Jenny: Genjutsu... I wonder if the others have noticed it... RELEASE!

The trees turned back to normal, and Jenny headed forward. Daniel didn't know what to do, so he climb to the top of one tree and, started jumping the tops of trees. Kim was the first to use her jutsu. She made the tiger hand sign, and fire formed around her hands. She touched a tree and it caught on fire, then that one caught another, and another. Eventually one side of the forest was on fire. Daniel noticed this to the right.

Daniel: Looks like it's already started... Good thing I'm up here...

All of the sudden, Kim jumped to the top of the trees on fire, and she noticed Daniel. Daniel kept going, but Kim was chasing him.

Daniel: Crap! It looks like I have no choice!

Daniel built up all of the chakra in his legs, and he started to run incredibly fast, leaving Kim way behind.

Daniel: Hahaha... take that.

While looking back at Kim, he didn't see the taller tree in front of him, and he ran straight into it at full speed. Daniel fell into the trees, through the branches and onto the ground. He was knocked out cold. Meanwhile, Jenny just kept going forward, and was noticing a lot of the traps that Ibiki laid out for them. explosives, holes, Ibiki did everything. He wasn't holding back. Jenny was having a hard time getting through all of the traps quickly. Eventually, she almost ran straight into a trip explosive. she used her jutsu on herself to save herself.

Jenny: Brain Sleep Jutsu!!

Her body fell to the bottom of the forest, but she avoided the explosive. Kim, on the other hand, was the only one still moving. Jumping the tops of trees, she realized there was explosives all throughout the tops of the trees, so she had to go down into the trees, to avoid them. She failed to realize that there were explosives under the tops of the trees as well, and her face was staring straight at one as she was falling onto it, but her foot caught a branch and she used her martial arts techniques to avoid the explosives. So she just kept moving...

*In the hokage's room*

Mom: Third Hokage!!
Hokage: Yes, what do you want?
Mom: My son has run away! I can't find him anywhere!
Hokage: ... Don't worry, your son is perfectly fine. He's training with Ibiki right now.
Mom: With Ibiki? What happened?
Hokage: Trust me, he'll be fine. He's in Ibiki's capable hands. He wouldn't give them something they couldn't handle.
Mom: Well, could you just tell him to come home the next time you see him?
Hokage: I don't think that will be necessary. He'll come home at his own pace.
Mom: But... thank you for your time Hokage...

She left his office.

Hokage: At least I hope he doesn't give them something they can't handle... Don't be reckless Ibiki...

*Back at the forest*

Daniel and Jenny were finally conscious again,and running. Daniel's speed was allowing him to dodge the traps at the top easily. Jenny was easily getting through and genjutsu that was placed, and Kim hadn't been stopped yet. All of them were getting very close to the end. Ibiki was waiting at the center for them and he heard them coming.

Ibiki: This quick? It's not even sunrise yet! Let's make it a little more fun for them.

He placed a genjutsu over all three. To Daniel, the tops of the trees were wobbling, so he had to get into the trees. To Jenny, the ground was making earth quakes, so she had to get onto the branches. To Kim, she was forced to move to the right because of (supposedly) falling trees. After they all made their move, they ran into each other, all of them falling to the ground.

Daniel: Just great, and i was almost there...
Kim: Looks like we'll have to settle this.
Jenny: Looks like it...
Daniel: .... Chakra Tie Jutsu! >Jenny
Kim: Martial Fist Jutsu!
Jenny: Mind Control Jutsu! >Kim

With Daniel's chakra tie Jutsu on Jenny, allowing her not to use more chakra then Daniel's used, Jenny couldn't move Kim with her mind control Jutsu, they were basically at a stare-off. Kim couldn't move because of Jenny's Mind control Jutsu over her. Jenny was controlling her every move. While this was happening, Daniel was slowly storing chakra in his legs. After enough was in his legs, he quickly started dashing away, which allowed Jenny to control Kim. She made Kim knock over a couple of trees into Daniel's way, so he couldn't escape, but Daniel built up chakra into his arms and smashed the trees quickly so he could get away.

Jenny: So he controls chakra... And you are a martial arts... and according to the burnt trees, fire as well... Looks like Daniel has us beat in this one. He's already gotten away.
Kim: Let me go, and I'll stop him...
Jenny: Fine.

Jenny released the mind control jutsu, and Kim picked up a tree. She threw it in the direction Daniel ran, knocking over every tree in it's path. Daniel was knocked over by the trees, and buried in a pile. Jenny and Kim rushed forward in the newly made path. As they ran passed the pile, Daniel built chakra up into his arms and demolished the pile. Then by building chakra into his legs, he caught up to Kim and Jenny. Daniel couldn't use any more chakra without killing himself, so he just started running at normal speed. they were neck and neck... and neck, heading towards Ibiki. Eventually, they all three made it. Ibiki was standing on a tree stump.

Ibiki: Not bad. The sun hasn't even risen yet. I see you had some fun with each other at least. I also got to know your jutsus. Jenny, you have great control over the mind. Kim, your strength is amazing, and being able to control fire. Daniel, you may not know this, but you have to same jutsu as your father.... Chakra Controller. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree I guess. Anyway, you all passed. If you want, you may come with me to inform the Hokage.

We all agreed and went with him.

*In the hokage's office*

Hokage: So, how did they do?
Ibiki: Passed with flying colors.
Hokage: Hmm... That makes 15 passers...
Ibiki: 15!? I thought only nine were aloud to pass!
Hokage: Yes this is true, but we can't just go and tell someone who has already passed, that they failed. I guess we will have to make an exception. You and Anko are proctors for the Chinin exam this year, correct?
Ibiki: Yes sir...
Hokage: Then your two squads can't enter anyway, so it works out fine.
Daniel: ! Anko's group passed! That's Jordan's squad!
Jenny: Yes! We all passed!
Hokage: Well, Jordan passed. Something happened to his teammates. They are in the infirmary right now. We will have to find him some new teammates.
Daniel: Could he join our squad?
Hokage: No! 4 to a squad! This was stated as a squad rule long ago.
Daniel: Oh...
Hokage: Don't worry. I'm sure you will still be around Jordan quite a bit. You are all Genin, and will be doing Genin missions.
Daniel: Right... Well, i guess we'd better be headed towards your house Jenny...
Hokage: Oh, speaking of that, Daniel. Your mother stopped by today. She's very worried. I'm not telling you what to do, but I think it would be wise of you to keep a close relationship with your mother under these circumstances.
Daniel: Right...

*at Daniel's house*

[Knock][Knock][Knock]

Mom: Could it be?

She opened the door and saw Daniel on the other side.

Mom: Daniel! I knew you'd come home! I'm soooo sorry! I never meant to hurt you!
Daniel: I know mom, I know... I'm here to stay...
