Hello. 3nodding This journal will be filled with all sorts of different things. From ramblings to doodles, to whatever else comes to mind. 3nodding So what are you waiting for? Get reading! wink
Okies, for starters, my name is Amanda. 3nodding I recently found this place, so don't expect me to get much. wink Anywhooo I like to read, write, draw, color, play my instruments (flute, piano, guitar), basically anything done in Arts. xd
I enjoy reading very much, so naturally, one one greatest weakness would be... fanfics! xd I tend to read the looooong ones, and never seem to finish, but I like it when the story just reels you in, and since you already know the characters, imagery takes over, and you see the book in your mind. sweatdrop Sometimes I forget I was reading, and think back to things like a movie. whee So yeah, reading's one of the better things I do. wink
Along with reading, I like to write. As you can tell, I'm not the best at it, but I do like to do it. The things I write tend to... vary. I like doing stories, short stories, poetry, lyrics, the works. 3nodding Though I am a happy person, I do tend to write things on the... well, slightly darker side. xd My favorite genres are horror, fantasy, angst, and sci-fi. 4laugh So if I do write, it'll probably be in one of those catagories. 3nodding
Um, well, next thing. mrgreen Anywho, along with those, comes the art part of what I do. heart I love art. The only thing I tend to like least, is traditional arts like painting, or still life, though I do like working with chalk and oil pastels, it's not prefered. sweatdrop I do like working with graphite (pencils) and inking. I'm not that good at human anatomy, so I tend to work on faces, or small details. sweatdrop I'm working on it, but it's a slow process for me. xd
Um... art's isn't the only thing I obsess over... xd I'm also a pretty big "nerd". Depends on your definition. Yes, I like video games. Yes, I like anime. Yes, I like computers and coding. Yes, I'm teachers pet. No, I do not get straight A's. xd So yeah. On the coding behalf, I tend to lean more towards web design, more than programming. And even so, Java is not my friend at the moment. xd But I'm working on it. 3nodding So I usually do DIV layers, or going crazy with CSS, but also do Tables, and I Frames on occasion. heart
Um... On to the video games! I used to be obsessed with Tekken 3- Tag Tournament, until we lost the game, and after a while I los tinterest. But now, I'm a huge obsessor of DDR. heart I've been playing for about a year now, and, on a normal basis, can beat two ten footers (Sakura and Bag). I love mods, all sorts of mods. I always play on dark though. 'Cause when they force mods in tournaments, it's a great element to have on your side, since most people don't like, or can't play on dark. 3nodding lol. Anywho, on rare occasions I can beat Max300, so I'm working on that. I can get half way through The Legend of Max, full combo, but then my legs give out. xd Gotta work on that. sweatdrop
Um... I actually have Gwen Stefani's new album, and some trance cd playing right now, so I'm sitting here singing along. xd lol. How utterly humiliating. sweatdrop lol. Gonna go stick in System of a Down... heart

OH! And on the topic of music, thought I'd get into that next. 3nodding I'm a band geek too, add that to the nerd list. sweatdrop Been playing the flute for three years, on and off on the piano, and recently got started on the guitar. 3nodding The flute is a Germeinhardt, the piano is actually a yamaha keyboard, and the guitar is an electric, black fender. heart I love my instrument friends... heart lol. Um... to the next paragraph! xd
Um... now, this is the section where I pull up links of things I've done, and make you guys tell me what you think. 3nodding Okay, link one. xd This is an example of DIV layers. I made the site for Sway, to replace his old one, which was... undercoded. He doesn't really know much HTML, so I thought it'd be cool to make him a site. 3nodding Here's the link. 3nodding 3nodding Visual Kei Haven 3nodding that's it there. smile The R/P button on the menu changes the color of the entire site to navigate. At the moment, I've only coded the site twice, so it's in pink, and red. pink, 'cause it's Sway's favorite color, and red, so I wouldn't have to see the pink. sweatdrop lol. I hate pink, not my color. 3nodding

I went through three different pictures, before picking the last one and keeping it. 3nodding The first picture was pretty bad, so I erased that one, then made a Kagome sketch just because. After that, I decided I actually didn't like the Kagome, and settled for making a wolf girl. razz So yeaaaah. sweatdrop There's something I drew. 3nodding
Ick, this is actually my second time typing this, so it's not as enthusiastic as the first. xd I hit some buttons on the keyboard by accident, can't remember which, and skipped back or something, and lost everything I typed. stressed gonk I was so upset for a few minutes, but I guess since I like to write and type, I liked redoing it in the end. xd Gave me a chance to rethink everything I had typed before, and elaborate more than ever. 3nodding
um, now I'm in the mood of typing, so I'll keep that up. 3nodding Just give it a sec to think what the heck to type. xd

Um... oh yeah! xd Let's get back into hobbies and stuff, that's always fun to type. 3nodding Not sure how fun to read... sweatdrop lol. I hope it's not too bad to read. 3nodding Um... I know! I like making friends. Veeeery much. I beleive in the greater good, so whether or not I like someone, I try to be considerate of their feelings. I strive to make things better for everyone, not just my friends and family and such. So I guess I like to be around others, and do what I can to "sooth" them. I may not be the best of things, but I can do my best and try my hardest to make others live better. xd I'm such a softie... sweatdrop lol. So don't worry about offending me either! 3nodding That's kinda hard to do, but don't try. xd
I have a pretty... interesting... sense of humor. xd I'll laugh at anything, heck, I'll laugh when it's not really funny, 'cause I like to laugh. 3nodding Of course, that's were the sick part comes in. lol. I have a sick sick sick sense of humor. I try not to offend anyone, but lol. sweatdrop So I tend to keep most of that to myself. wink wink wink
