Chapter 7: Revelation: part 2









“So, let me get this straight, you took a piece of log and wailed it on Bob!?” Roy said in astonishment as he rocked on his chair and stared at Matt.

“Yup” he said happily.

“Barbaric, but nice job, you FINALLY did something right.” said Yuki as she grinned at Matt.

“Gee, thanks!” Matt blurted out as he laughed, followed by Roy and Yuki.

“Anyhow.” Said Matt “As I took his clothes…”




~ 1 day before the incident in Brone, at the bottom of Half Turns Point ~



“Geez, you need to lose a few pounds Bob” Thought Matt as he put on the armor that was 5 times his size. As he finished by putting the helmet on, he took the sword that was still in Bob’s hand and continued the route to the top of Half Turns Point.

“Alright men, tonight we travel to Brone in an attempt to capture this man!” yelled a man with light blue hair and red eyes as he took out a picture of Sylvan, Roy’s grandfather.

“Sir, yes sir!” yelled Phil as he saluted his captain.

“Hmm, and you?” asked the captain as he stood in front of Matt.

“er, SIR, yes SIR!!!” yelled Matt as he imitated Phil and returned a salute to the captain.

“Pay attention next time; or your enemies will take that absent mindedness to their advantage!”

“Sir, I’ll try sir!” said Matt hastily so his cover wouldn’t be blown.

As the captain walked towards the carriage full of iron bars, Phil gave a punch at Matt’s shoulders.

“OW! What was THAT for?”

“Are you TRYING to get in trouble Bob? You’ve been acting weird since you’ve got here…”

“Oh, er, drinking a lot, kinda gets to you…”

“And why do you have the front part of your helmet closed!?” He asked as he tried to reach for the helmet but missed as Matt took a step back “Trying to hide a horrible scar or something?”

“N-no, no!” stuttered Matt as thought for an excuse to give to Phil “Have a nasty virus, and it’s highly contagious, so I covered myself so you wouldn’t get it!”

“And your voice…”

“WHAT THE HELL MAN! What is this, 20 questions!? It’s part of the virus, it changes my voice a bit, now hurry up or Captain…er, Captain…”

“Kofyusha?”

“Yeah, before Captain Kofyusha leaves us behind!” Matt quickly finished as he hurried to the carriage to avoid any questions Phil might ask.

No sooner had Matt entered and took his seat that Phil also entered and sat opposite of him, Captain Kofyusha was in front, he was going to guide the horses that were going to pull the carriage to cross plains.

“Alright…” whispered Kofyusha as he patted the horsed and took their reigns “…to Brone!”

Almost instantly, the horses gave a mighty tug and neighed loudly which caused a hole appear out of nowhere and run towards it. What Matt felt next was a mixture of anxiety and sickness in the pit of his stomach as the carriage made its way to the parallel world. Matt grabbed on to the nearest thing he could reach as he prayed for the insane trip to be over. After what seemed like an eternity to Matt, the carriage started slowing down and a loud BANG was heard outside as Matt felt the carriage descend and hit the floor hard. Matt sighed as the carriage slowed down and come to a complete stop. Jumping outside and retching, Matt looked around at his new surroundings, many houses clustered together in rows and many fast machines that made very loud noises and looked like blurs as they passed by the unsuspecting visitors from another world.

“s**t man, didn’t realize how sick you were” said Phil as he jumped out of the carriage, completely normal.

“Yeah well, guess I shouldn’t drink and ride next time, eh?”

Phil began laughing and threw a vial towards Matt.

“Drink Bob, it’ll help stop your head from spinning.”

“Thanks Pip.”

“Phil.”

“Whatever…”

“As soon as you find the target…” Captain Kofyusha said as he walked towards them “Do not engage him, but send an Ollie to me, understand?”

“Yes sir” Phil and Matt said simultaneously

“Good, now it would be best if you stick together if any-“

“NO!” Matt blurted out making Captain Kofyusha and Phil look at him.

“Excuse me?”

“Er, we’d cover more ground if we were separate, wouldn’t we?” Matt said as he tried to sound as innocent as possible. He had to be alone if he was going to find the boy his master instructed him to find.

Kofyusha gave him a long stare before he closed his eyes and began to laugh “Think you’re in charge now? Think you call the shots, soldier?”

“N-N-NO sir!” Matt said quickly as he realized the mistake he had done “I just thought...”

“Whatever; just get the job done, together or not” Kofyusha said as he disappeared and left both Matt and Phil alone near the carriage that was nearly camouflaged with the trees around it.

“What the HELL is wrong with you Bob!?” yelled Phil as he looked suspiciously at Matt “You know better than to question Captain Kofyusha’s orders!”

Matt felt hotheaded and stupid about the situation that had passed, if things were different he most certainly would have…

“Well, no choice then, I go this way and you that way, send an Ollie if you see something” Phil concluded as he walked down the street and disappeared into the darkness of the night. Matt was still lost in thought, he had to be more careful if he wanted to get out of this without getting in trouble, his Master was depending on him!

Matt Walked down the sidewalk and looked at all the houses that he passed with awe. This place is HUGE! He thought as he continued to walk. I wonder where this red headed kid master wants is.

Suddenly a huge bang of something shutting took Matt by surprise and made him throw himself to the nearest bush. Taking a look he saw a boy with red hair close a truck and walked back towards the house.

“Well, this is convenient.” Matt said as he continued to look at the boy with red hair. Suddenly the boy looked back and stared at the spot where Matt was. Not moving an inch, Matt stared back at the red hair and sighed when the boy turned his back and gently closed the front door.




“THAT’S RIGHT!” Roy yelled as he Yuki and Matt looked at him “That night, I KNEW I was being watched, that was around the same time my grandpa told me to close the truck.”

“So, I WAS seen.” Matt said disappointed.

“That was you this whole time!?”

“Yeah, but I wasn’t sure you were the kid, so I had to make sure, I had to see if you were natural haired, not dyed.”

“YEAH! I remember you were at school!”

“Yup, I remembered master telling me you were going to be in some school called Oliver High, so I spent the whole night searching until I found it.”

“How did you become a student overnight?”

Matt chuckled and rocked back in his chair but fell when Yuki turned the floor around Matt into ice.

“Get to the point!” She yelled.

“Alright, alright” he sighed as he got up and sat back in his seat “I used a magic called Hazy Mist in which the opponent has amnesia and I fiddle with his memory a bit, but it only works for a little bit, so I just asked you and left after that class was over.”

“Oh, so that’s why I didn’t see you for the rest of the day, and let me guess, you sent an Ollie or whatever to Kofyusha and he went that night and captured me and my grandfather.”

“Eh, not exactly, I didn’t know you were related to the old man we were looking for.”

“Huh?”

“As soon as I left the school, things went, how do you say, not according to plan.”

“Why? What happened?”


Suddenly, an eagle soared inside the room and landed on Yuki’s shoulder, taking her completely by surprise “Kiko!?”

“No way, Kiko!?” Matt followed as Roy stayed confused.

Kiko lifted her leg so that Yuki could reach for the letter attached.

“So, that’s an Ollie?” Roy asked as Yuki untied the letter.

“Yeah” Matt answered “Kiko here is master’s eagle; I didn’t realize he had left.”

“Oh, Roy!” Yuki said as she looked at him.

“What?”

“This letter…”

“WHAT ABOUT IT!?” Matt yelled

“It’s for you”
