Example of my work

Horror:
The ripples on the lake seemed to indicate that the water itself was shivering in the cold, frosty night. The silver moon was drawn above it, glowing in the darkness and giving away its pale, silvery light as a gift to the things below. A rather strong breeze had picked up and was blowing through the night, knocking everything that tried to stand in its way, and letting off a low whistle. Yet there were few noises to interrupt the eerie calmness that was hovering around, apart from the sound that came from the other side of the lake. The distant sound of a low, scratchy howl.

It was at that instant that a figure appeared. It was barely able to be seen against its surroundings, as if it had been edged into the backdrop itself. The yellow eyes were piercing, and as it stepped out from the shadows, the moonlight cast the figure into full view. It was a wolf. A silver grey wolf. Sharp white fangs protruded from the beasts jaw, and it bore the unmistakable signs of war. The long wounds and gashes that had disintegrated its rough and unkempt pelt were sticky with blood, and through its hind leg was producing the bone that was destined to be hidden beneath flesh. The wolf let out a strained howl as its body rocked back and forward as each breath strained to keep going. But it was to no avail, and as the beast drew its last shaky breath its legs gave way, and it tumbled down into the lake below.

A random few paragraphs I wrote:
'Yeah, Okay if you like,' Animus said into the phone, trying not to yawn as he listened to his girlfriend banter on about what their next date should, and must, include. Before he had received the long and tiring phone call, the seventeen year old had been lounge on the sofa, reading a magazine he had picked up earlier that day, when his mother had sent him out to the bakery. For once, the house was quiet. Being in a family of seven people, including himself, it was difficult to get some quality quiet time.

His sisters were much younger than him. The second oldest was Sabby, who was 3. Then there was Tamsin, who was 2 and then at the bottom of the chain came the twins, Abella and Tarla, who were both only a few months old. Animus hated them all. He would have hated them even if they had all been boys. Having lived most of his life as an only child, he was not accepting of his siblings.

Animus had been the product of a teenage romance that his mother had when she was sixteen. His father didn't supported his mother, but he was killed in a car crash when Animus was about three years old. Since then, he and his mother had only had each other, and that had suited Animus fine. But then his mother decided to marry Jack, a rich jerk whom Animus detested more than he had ever detested his sisters. Once they were married, Jack insisted on having lots of children. He already had a daughter, Sabby, and then had two more with Animus's mother. That created the family of seven people. For Animus, it was five too many.

Sighing inwardly, Animus sat up and grabbed the TV remote control before speaking into the phone.
“yeah, okay babe. Listen, I gotta go. See ya!,” he said quickly, and then press the 'END CALL' button, before his girlfriend could respond. Grinning to himself, Animus turned the TV on. Flicking between channels, he finally put the remote control down, leaving the TV on a comedy program that Animus liked. Most of the time, he was forced to watch the boring baby junk that his sisters liked, or the soppy soaps that his mother liked. Or even the current affairs programs that Jack adored. It was enough to make Animus vomit. That was party why he liked the times that he had the house to himself, so he could watch what he wanted for once. That was if his girlfriend wasn't keeping him on the phone for hours!

A Love poem:
Walking together under the trees,
Brushing away the falling leaves,
Hand in hand, racing along the track
Romance was a feeling we didn't lack

We sat down to watch the fading light
The afternoon was soon to turn into night
The yellows and oranges, purples and pink
Flashed and flickered as the sun started to sink

And that was the moment that we first kissed
There were so many emotions, too many to list
It must have been a magical sight
Two people to kiss in the dying light

The warm November day had long passed
Although for days that kiss might have last
'I love you' I murmured, smiling you see
because that was the day he first kissed me

A Poem about the sea:
As rough as the waves upon the shore
An element that you cannot ignore
A fantasy aray of colours in one
the amazing sparkles of the sun

A chilly breeze that sweeps the shore
Its the beautiful feeling that I adore
Its a blissful feeling of paradise
There is nothing in the world that can surfice

A quick song I wrote:
I....I stand watching
Over the distant shore
Waiting, hoping
To watch the ships
come back to port

Please, please tell me
let me know your still there
Are you dying
Are you dead
is your spirit even there?

If you want more examples you can find them here. I suggest reading 'Let me explain....Part 1' and 'The Tabby and the Tiga' which were to long to post here but I think would give you a better idea of my writing skills
