Andy´s The Time Blade: Beginnings
Roy Crider is a 14 year old boy who lived a pretty normal life, until the night his grandfather was kidnapped by the Royal Guards of Celine, now trapped in an alter demension, can Roy find his grandfather and a way home before time runs out...?
Chapter 13: The Crimson Blades

Roy continued to stare at the girl who completely called him trash, unable to sink it in his mind. One minute he was full of happiness and relief for killing the killer wolf that was bigger than all of them, next minute, anger and confusion swelled up in
him, who was this girl he suddenly had a loathe for him? It didn’t take long to find
out neither.

“Who are you?”

It was Yuki who broke the silence both party’s were causing. The girl who insulted Roy simply scoffed and looked at her companion as if she didn’t hear Yuki, the boy with the glasses stepped forward.

“My name is-“

“I didn’t ask YOU!” Yuki said glaring at the boy who quickly stepped back, as if knowing that fighting with Yuki was fighting the Devil himself if he wasn’t careful “You, who are you, and what gives you any right to talk to Roy that way?”

The girl with the long black hair looked at Yuki with her hypnotizing blue eyes. She crossed her arms and said “Rachael, of the Wind Clan, and this is my brother, Arturo.”

“Yuki of the Ice clan, Matt of the Water Clan and Roy of the Fire Clan, now answer my questions.”

“Hey, what’s up with the formalities?” whispered Roy as he leaned close to Matt so no one could hear.

“It’s a kind of greeting among strangers; we ask their name and the clan they hail from. Not doing so is VERY rude.” Matt whispered back as Roy looked back at Yuki’s conversation with Rachael.

“I’m afraid we cannot say here.” Arturo cut in. He was a lot taller up close, even a bit taller than Matt himself “now if you could accompany us to our headquarters, we’ll explain everything there.”

“Whoa, whoa, whoa, time out.” Matt said as he too stepped forward “you just appear out of nowhere, insult Roy then tell us to accompany you? What the hell?”

“I agree with Matt.” Roy said as he glared at Rachael who glared back “How can you POSSIBLY think we can trust you just because you told us your name!”

Arturo sighed, and then looked at his sister with bored eyes “What are we to do? Flint told us to bring them A.S.A.P, what now?”

“No choice” Rachael said as she grabbed her blade then disappeared in front of their eyes. Before Roy could reach for his own sword, deep darkness invaded his eyes, the sounds drowned from his ears, then…nothing.

“He’s the boy from the other world, isn’t he?”

“I believe so, but, from the Fire Clan?! Is that even possible? I thought the last person was-“

“We all thought the same, but who knows, what if he isn’t?”

“What if he IS?”

“Doesn’t matter, we have our orders, now you do yours Rachael, understood?”

“Yes…”

Roy slowly opened his eyes in time to see a man with full blue and white armor leave the room. He was shirtless and lying in a bed, confused and bewildered, Roy tried to stand up but could not as a hand stopped him.

“How long have you had that wound?” the soft voice said as she touched Roy’s stomach. He turned to his left and saw what seemed to be an angel to him. A girl around his age was sitting in a chair, holding both Roy’s white shirt, and Jacket. She had short brown hair and bright green eyes.

“Err, I-“He said fast as he fell over the bed and made the girl giggle. He looked up from the floor and smiled, completely embarrassed.

“Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you.” She said as she stood up and helped Roy up “I’m Emily by the way, from the Earth Clan.”

“Roy Crider.” He said smiling as he took the shirt and began putting it on “from the Fire Clan.”

“So, it’s true…” she whispered breathlessly as she handed Roy his jacket.

“Huh?”

“You really ARE from the Fire Clan, aren’t you?”

“Yeah, so it seems, but I am not that good.” He said as he finished putting on his jacket.

“I see, by the way, I was sent her by master Flint to give you this!” She said as she reached into her pocket and took out a small letter “Sorry I can’t stick around, I got training.”

She handed Roy the letter and was nearly out the door when Roy bellowed “Hey, Emily, am I going to see you again?”

Emily spun around and gave a wink “maybe!” And with that she closed the door and left Roy and the letter alone.

Smiling to himself, Roy opened the letter and read:

810, Denton Hall

Come soon, all will be explained

¬~Flint

“Well, at least they’re too the point, but my question is WHERE am I? What happened in Elmira? Matt, Yuki?”

He looked at the floor then touched his back, realizing that something, other than his friends was missing “Oh no, Edge, it’s gone!” He yelled as he frantically searched the room for his missing blade, but to no avail “s**t!”

He kicked the floor then took a couple of deep breath “Well, nothing is going to get solved by just standing around, better get a move on.” Roy said to himself as he stepped forward and turned the knob on the door, unaware what awaited him.

When Roy stepped outside, he remained on the spot he was standing, breathless. He seemed to be inside what looked like a hospital, except for the doctors and nurses that walked or ran down the hallway were nowhere to be seen. Besides that, the walls were white, the hallway long, and many doors with numbers on the front could be seen.

“Great, not even 5 seconds have passed and I’m already lost! They could’ve told me where to go...” Roy said looking left and right as he decided which route looked best. As he went left, Roy began walking down the unfamiliar hallway. On and on he walked as he saw the doors pass by him, he began to breathe deeply and keep walking, faster, faster, faster until he broke into a sprint. Doors upon doors passed by him, running out of breath, Roy stopped running and began to take gulps of air as he looked at the endless hallway.

“No way, I could have sworn I…”

He looked to his left and to his horror he saw the door wide open, the same door he had came through when he started down this hallway.

“You’ve GOT to be kidding me!”

He turned around and started running to his right this time, also paying close attention to the numbers on the doors.

“…805, 806, 807, 808, 809…” he whispered as he looked at the doors, but when he reached 809 the next door became 801.

“What the ********!?” Roy yelled as he looked to his right and saw the room he had came in.

What kind of place IS this? He thought as he looked both ways, crossed his arms and kicked the wall with all his might.

“Ok, just calm down; keep it together, now there HAS to be a clue somewhere, something that can point to where I can go.”

When nothing occurred to Roy he tried the next best thing, taking a deep breath, he tried all the doors to see what they contained inside.

“s**t!” He yelled 5 minutes later as he kicked room 809 “All locked, so much for that idea.”

Frustrated Roy slid on the nearest wall and closed his eyes, hoping an idea would pop into his head. As he remained still, lost in thought, he remembered a similar event with his grandfather back in Brone.

“Now don’t let go of my hand Roy, this is a very crowded place.” Sylvan said to a younger more energetic red head boy. They stepped on an overcrowded escalator heading to stores in the upper level of the Mall.

“Awww, come ON grandpa, I’m already 9! I can walk alone!”

“I know that, but I like to make sure your near me at all times, got it?”

Roy couldn’t help but make a face as his grandfather recited this “you told me at home you were going to let me walk alone if I behaved! Come on! I haven’t even made ONE prank all week!”

“The toilet?” his grandpa said eyeing at Roy who simply smiled.

“I was curious.”

“My rice”

“Hungry!”

“What about my underwear?”

“That one doesn’t count!” Roy yelled as his grandfather began to laugh. As they reached the end of the escalator, Roy looked at his grandfather desperately, hoping he would let him go explore alone. When he caught Roy’s big red eyes, he couldn’t help but say yes to him.

“On one condition though…”

“What?” Roy asked as he got hyper.

“We meet up by the big fountain downstairs at 5:00p.m., got it? Now, you got your watch?”

“uhh…”

“It’s ok, here’s mine.” Sylvan whispered as he kneeled down and strapped it on Roy’s wrist “This is my special watch.”
Roy eyed his grandfather suspiciously as he looked at his normal looking watch on his wrist “what’s so special about it? Looks like any ordinary watch to me.”

“Ahh, but that’s where your wrong!” Sylvan said grinning “this watch belonged to your grandmother Roy, other than telling you time, it tells you what you want to know! Here, I’ll show you!”

Gripping the watch on Roy’s left wrist, he closed his eyes and stayed quiet for a couple of seconds. As Roy began to think his grandfather had completely lost it, he reopened his eyes and reached for Roy’s pocket and took out a bag of cookies.

“Huh!?” Roy stammered as he looked at his grandfather then at the bag of cookies he had snatched.

“I thought I told you these were for AFTER dinner!”

“But, how did you know!?”

“The watch Roy, it was my special watch! Don’t worry though, when you get older, you’ll find out the secret, for now I want you to meet up at the fountain at 5:00p.m! No more, no less!”

“Ok…” Roy said gloomily “but, about those cookies…”

“No, after dinner, and you only get ONE!”

“WHAT, ONLY ONE!?”

“For taking a dozen, and hiding them!”

“NO FAIR!!!!” Cried Roy as his grandfather walked towards a nearby antique store, cookie bag at hand.

14 year old Roy opened his eyes and began to laugh at himself “5 years it’s been since Gramps gave me this.”

With his right hand, Roy began to take off his glove on his left hand and reveal a small silver watch that Sylvan had given him years ago. As he looked at the glimmering silver watch, he took it off and hoisted himself from the floor. Resting it on his palm, Roy clutched it tightly and began to concentrate as he circled the hall.

Room 810, Denton hall, Room 810, Denton hall, Room 810 Denton hall Roy thought to himself as he tired himself of repeating the words over and over again. Then, as if a sudden jolt rushed in his body, Roy spun around and looked at the wall between rooms 809 and 801. Not knowing why, Roy ran towards that particular spot and began to feel on the wall for a lever, switch, anything that reveled hidden doors. Then, as Roy felt the wall with his hands, a small part of the wall sunk and a small clack was heard inside the walls. The room went dark, and began to spin, causing Roy to fall backwards and land on his back. Massaging his back, Roy looked up and saw that the doors began to fuse together to form one big door with blood red letters:

Room 810, Denton Hall Sacred Chambers of the Crimson Blades

Bewildered and glad that something other than endless doors appeared, Roy stood up and made for the huge double doors. Opening the doors, Roy quickly entered the dimly lit room and was face to face with the man with full blue and white armor, Yuki and Matt beside him.

“Congratulations Roy Crider, you have successfully passed the test of the Senses, welcome to the Crimson Blades.”
