My cell rang as I rolled over in my bed, groggy from the night before. My teacher had pounded the last bit of information int my head before I had graduated that night.
'Time to die' by Andrew W.K. rang in my quiet apartment. I looked at the Caller I.D.
"Private? Hmmm. Hello?" I answered, maybe it was one of my collage friends.
"Is this Rio Tsuki?" A some what famillar voice came from the speaker.
"Maybe? Who's calling?" I asked, hoping it wasn't a Prank call or telemarketer.
"This is Ryuuzaki, remember? From Whammys?" He replied.
"Ryuuzaki?! Its been to long! Something you need?"
"I was wondering, seeing as you graduated and all... Would you like to cook for me?" Ryuuzaki questioned me, it was too good to be true.
"Yes, I'll cook for you!" I replied happly.
"Wonderfull. I'll send Watari to pick you up and bring you here. Pack as soon as you can, you'll only be able to take the things you pack. Watari'll carry your bags to the limo, and I'll join you there." Ryuuzaki explained.
"Thank you, so much. Well, better get packing if I want to be done and ready to get picked up at Nine tomorow. Bye." I hung up and looked arround my room, I could take only the things I'd packed. "Interesting..." I said as I began sifting through my small apartment.
Ryuuzaki put his phone down, he thought of the patries! He caught himself before a drop of drool ran down his cheek. He also thought of Rio, it had been a long time but it should be good to see an old face again.

Rio looked out her window, it was almost nine. "I hoope Ryuuzaki'll be in the Limo." She smiled and hummed a soft melodic tune, keeping an eye out for the limo.
Ryuuzaki sat in the back of the limo waiting until without warnning he called to the front of the limo. "Watai stop were here!" The limo came to a hult and Watari got out and went to the front door of the appartment complex and asked for a miss Rio Tsuki and waited.
Rio heard the buzz (that sounded like some poor animal being shocked) of the intercom. "Coming!" She gladly said into the speaker. She brought her three bags down that contained her favorite bedding, clothes and cook books. Rio stopped at the botom of the stairs and smiled. "Present." She said bowing.
Watai smiled and said back. "Aw so your the young lady Mr. Ryuuzaki has been thinking of the past few weeks. Well if you don't mind please come to the limo and I'll take your bags." As they walked out to the limo Watai opend the limo door for Rio. Inside was Ryuuzaki, he smiled slightly and said. "Hello Rio, glad to see you again please come in before all the heat gets out."
"He has?" Rio gave Watari her bags and headed to the limo. "Thank you." She said, replying to Ryuuzaki. Looking at him brough back so many memories, one of them she'd never forget. "Thank you so much for allowing me to work for you, I appreciate it."
Ryuuzaki replied "hmmm so what is the dish your best at making? And how well did you do in your classes?
"Well, I don't want to boast, but I'm at the top of my class and I can make anything you request of me. How have you been Ryuuzaki?" Rio asked, currious as to his life.
"A little aprehensive really, Kira is still out there so Im to to sure of people."
"Hmmm..." Rio thought of this and became quiet. What if he suspected her? A mamory came into her mind and she smiled, soon that smile turned into giggles, then laughter.
L stared at Rio puzzled and thought to himself. "Why is she so much like that Misa girl of Lights?"
Rio saw the way Ryuuzaki was staring at her and she said, "Ryuuzaki, do remember the time Near proposed to me? You got so mad, and you two got into a big fight, that's what I was laughing about."
L began to blush and he quickly said. " No I don't recall that..." he then turned away.
Rio noticed the blush and said, "Yes, you do. It was on my sixth birthday, the year after I came to Whammy's. Your so cute when you blush." She smiled.
L began to blush even more and quickly said. " Well I do believe we can now move onto the topic at hand, Rio you will be preparing my first meal tonight, Watari will help get you settled in.
Rio frowned, He changed the subject. She nodded, the frown fading. "What would you like me to make Ryuuzaki-san?"
L thought for a moment then said. "Seeing as its your first day here I'll have you make something that is a favorite of mine... Strawberry Shortcake, with Tea, and for dessert a strawberry sunday with strawbetty syrup onto." L Smiled.
"Easy." Rio smirked, Ryuuzaki's sugar tooth hadn't changed at all.
L then answered. "Excellent after we bring your things to your room I'll show you were all the things in the kitchen are."
"Sounds good to me. Thank you again Ryuuzaki." Rio blushed and gave him a greatfull, yet shy smile.
L nodded and waited for them to arrive at there destination, and when they finally did L got out and went to the door while Watari helped Rio with her bags.
Rio stepped out of the limo and wondered aloud, "So, this is where you work?"
L nodded again. "It was the only place that met my specifications, please do come in." L motionded for Rio to follow him.
"Oh," Rio had dazed off gazing at the large building, "Thank you." She stepped into the loby and looked at the electronics lining the walls. She walked under the gate and set it off, "A metel detector?"
L quickly said. "Oh before you go any further please place all electronics here in this tray, they will be returned to you later after Watari has modifided them so they don't ste off my security."
"Huh..." Rio was mistified at how hi-tec this place was as she set her Nintendo DS and Peper-spray in the tray and walked through to see a boy about her age with brownish-red hair, an older man that was, by her guess, his father, and a clumsy boy.
"Please make yourself at home, once Watari has everything squared away we can begin moving your things into your room." L said "Oh and please try to resist touching anything."
Rio giggled. Resist? She was a baker, a experamentalist, so to speak. When she was baking, curriosity took over, often resulting in delicous meals and baked goods. But, she heeded his words and didn't touch anything. Her eyes wandered, but her hands did not.
"Ryuuzaki, who's this?" The brown haired boy asked, pointing at Rio.
L looked over his shoulder and said. "Oh this is Rio Tsuki, she will be our cook."
Rio didn't like being pointed at. "And who might you be?" She asked politely.
"A human." He said in a slightly cocky manor. "I'm Yagami Light."
"Ah, pleasure to meet you." Rio sat on a nearby couch and continued to gaze around the room.
L looked over his shoulder and saw Rio sitting there. "Its not often I have a women in the house, epesially one like her..." L thought to himself. "Perhaps I should be a better host." L walked over to Rio and sat beside her. "Is there anything you would like or any questions you have?" L asked.
"Ryuuzaki-san, can I ask what this place is?" Rio asked honestly.
"Hmm?" L noticed Rio was talking to him. "Oh this place is my home office if you will. I'm sorry but I can't tell you much now, days are very hectic espesially with Kira on the loose." L began to think and chew on his thumb.
"You're working on the Kira case, aren't you?" Rio peeked at him through her bangs, a small smile on her lips.
L began to blush, but he didn't know why. He quickly anwsered. "Well I'm not supo- yes I am currently investigating the Kira case, this is the task force that is helping me with my investigation."
"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone." Rio gave Ryuuzaki a wink as Watari entered the room.
"Rio, your stuff is ready. Along with a surprise. Ryuuzaki, would you mind showing her arround, I have something I need to take care of." Watare said.
"Ya fine." L anwsered. "Rio please fallow me" L began to walk throught the room.
Rio nodded and followed Ryuuzaki as he showed her arround, unaware of the hidden surpride that Watari had given her, waiting in the kitchen.
L walked into a room and said. "This our last stop, this is your kitchen I hope you find it suitable."
Rio was in shock. "Beyond suitable." The words managed to escape her as she wandered over to a box that had her name on it. She poened the top and took out a note from Watari and read it to herself. She put the note back in and sealed up the box, a small smile on her face.
