Here is a bit on my character- Background:

Once a small forest sprite Aria was called the most tough.
She fought with the snakes where most were much bigger than she.
Aria was three and 1/2 inches tall. Her thirst for adventure finally drove her
to a apple tree orchard. She would takes a sharp pebble and carve some
of the fruit out to eat. One day she saw dangling legs from a tree.
She looked up into the leaves and saw a handsome creature.
"Must be a giant....grandpa told me of 'em." Curious at heart she
flew up into the tree wiht her dragonfly like wings. "Hey Giant!"
She yelled hoping they would hear her tiny voice. "Who is there?" The
boy replied looking around. Aria stepped into his hand and yelled once more,
"Down here! What is your name giant?" Aria was afriad but her freindliness
seemed to outshine her quivering eyes. "You can call me Giant. I like that!"
He answered with a toothy grin. "Ok....My name is Aria. Where do you come from?" They conversed for quite a while till it got dark . "I must go home, Aria.
Will I see you tommorrow?" Aria smiled brightly. "I hope so! I will meet at the bottom of this tree. Bye now."

Day after day they met and talked. Talked of many things like how different they
were and what they had in common. One evening a snake was playfully wrestling
Aria. The "Giant" saw this and thought she was in trouble and picked the snake up with a stick. He threw the snake a distance and went back to Aria. "You alright?"
Aria looked up with serious eyes. "I hope he didn't bite you!" THe boy said scooping her up. She flew out of his hands and replied," That was my freind.
You could have hurt him real badly if he had fallen into the briar patch!"
They were quiet the rest of the day. They soon made up as he explained the
world he came from. " Girls in your world actually fight over looks and people
really get worked up over some silly doohinky?" The boy laughed and said,
"Doohinky? You mean a radio. Yeah they do..... I get worked up knowing you might be hurt while I sleep." Aria cuddled with his thumb then something seem
to snap inside of her. "I am small....." The boy just chuckled and replied lightly.
"Of course you are." Aria looked up at him. "I want to be your size so I can hug you not just your thumb. I want to look at all of you in one glance." The boy finally
understood how she felt. "I don't know how to help you....maybe magic or something...." Aria grinned. "You are a genius! I could go to Brianga. She is
very generous and kind. I will be able to hug you and everything."
The boy pulled her closer. "I don't want you to be big. You would be outcasted of your tiny town. And I am about to-" "I don't care! I want to be with you."
She cut in as she jumped up and flew off.

She found the big black oak tree where Brianga lived. " Excuse me but I need
some help." Aria begged as she came in. The old woodsprite looked over at her
and gestured to a leaf. " What is it you need? Luck or maybe better wings?"
The old lady replied with a little laugh. "I want to be human size." Aria answered looking desperatly at her. "You do know the risk, right?" Aria shook her head.
"You could die in the process or you could be mutated into a monster."
Aria thought about the beautiful summer evenings with the "Giant" and nodded.
"I still want to be human size, please." The two wood sprites left to a field and
a magical cloud surrounded Aria.

Aria's body ached terribly when she woke up. Next to her she found a raggy
skirt and a white top. She dressed and clumsily walked over to the apple tree.
Being used to flying so much she decided to practice walking a bit and walked about the tree. Finally a girl came. Puzzled Aria hid behind the tree.
"I come for 'Giant'. Um... Aria if you are here he says he loves you alot and that..."
The girl sniffed and finished, " He is dead. He tried to tell you but you insisted."
Aria peeked around and saw a girl with red hair. "Rosegirl.... What did he die of?"
The girl gasped at the large girl with wings.The red haired girl let out a scream as she fell back. The girl was so shocked she was speechless. "What?" Aria said turning around. She followed the girl's gaze and saw she was staring at her wings. "Do they frighten you so much?" A couple of other girls came over seeing
what was going on. As they saw her they mocked her and bullied her.
"Those aren't real." One of them said coldly. Aria felt pained at this and floated
a few inches above the ground. The most of the girls let out a yelp but one girl said, "What about those antennas?" Aria held one and asked, " What about them?"
The bratty girl gavea look of disgust. "They are so gross!" The rest of them nodded. "Ok... I want to blend in." Aria yanked them out letting out a sob.
"Get rid of the wings too." The redhead got up and said, "No! They are wonderful."
"Move out of the way Rose!" The snobby girl said pushing out of the way.
The rest of the girls helped to pull off the wings. Aria passed out from the pain and lay there.

A bright light woke Aria up and she looked around. What an odd place!
What was she wrapped in? It wasn't leaves or petals but it felt real soft. "Giant"
told of alot of things but not of this. She looked around and suddenly realized she
was in a human home. "Oh you're awake. I am so sorry I couldn't stop them.
Your wings were the most beautiful." Aria blushed crimson then shrugged.
"I don't stand out any more. How'd you know 'Giant'?" Aria asked as she held a pencil examing it. " I was a school freind. He told me of you and wanted me to take care of you. I must keep that promise." Rose said wiping away a stray tear.
"Oh here is breakfast!" Rose said handing Aria a plate. "Try it..." She added seeing Aria poke it with her fingers.

The small family had taken her in but being a poor family they had to kick her out. Aria just smiled and said that adventure was calling to her....

Well that is where Aria is now. Still naive to the human world she travels the land.
