I'm not really one to keep a detailed recounting of my exploits (people trying to use it as evidence against my sanity and all) but after a recent very close call with a certain extraterrestrial madman I have found it increasingly vital to leave some manner of information behind, just in case I should fall and someone else must take up the fight against the Irkens and other alien invaders.
I suppose I should begin this with exactly what happened to prompt this uncharacteristic documentation, as I usually clear my head about the day by ranting to myself not typing in some outdated computer (man theirs tech is real low key, its like some ancient savage tribe! I wonder what kind of discovery this would classify as, paranormal or archaeological)
It wasn't too long ago, a few weeks actually, that me and Zim arrived in a strange world called Gaia. I'm not entirely sure what this world we ow inhabit is, an alternate reality perhaps, or another manifestation of my own wild imaginings, but one thing is sure, it can't simply be an alien planet, there are too many familiar people here.
We were together when, through circumstances I can't recall, we were sucked into this bizarre world, but somehow we were separated when we landed. I'm not sure where Zim went landed or what he did, but I landed in a large lake near a light house where some people were fishing. I glimpsed only a few seconds of teh world around me before i plunged into the cold water.
I touched sand beneath my boots and opened my eyes to foggy water and fish, trying to swim to the surface I found I was stuck! One of my boots had caught in a tire and I couldn't get to the surface.
I couldn't breathe and, frantic, began to struggle, then I felt something tugging on my coat sleeve, tugging HARD. I was being pulled by something inhumanly strong, me and the tire both, dragging along the sandy bottom. Thrashing and panicked I couldn't hold my breath in any longer and instinctively opened my mouth to gasp, and in flowed the water.
Feeling myself being lifted from the floor by whatever was tugging at my sleeve was the last thing I can remember before the waters went black, I still can close my eyes and see the fading image of the tire slipping off my foot, taking my boot with it.
I woke up sopping wet covered in a musty old cloak in a rank old fishing store that smelled like it was recently dragged from the bottom of the lake, or maybe it was me I was smelling. All I know for certain is I was wet, cold, confused, and missing a shoe. A couple of people were there with fishing poles trading in their catch, buying bait, and haggling with some old white haired guy with a hairdo stranger than mine. (not that my hair is strange)
A blond chick broke away from a group of people waiting in line and came towards me. Turns out this girl was the one who saved me and brought me here, fished me out of the water, by accident of course. (man that girl has some serious upper body strength if she could pull both me and a tire off the lake bottom)
Her name was Sara, silent_sara, (weird name huh? They get weirder) and she was really weird, dressed all in purple with this black cloud hovering around her that I could swear was like the grim reaper or something, but nobody seemed to notice, at least nobody said anything. Actually, I noticed many people had things hovering around them, glowing lights, storm clouds, bubbles, halos, you name it.
I may have still been in shock, but I shot off questions like crazy: where was I? Who were the people? What were those things surrounding everyone? Where was Zim? On and on and on, and she answered smoothly. I was at the "Fishing Store" The people were customers. The things were "items" (apparently even living creatures were considered objects here) Zim was wherever Zim decided to be.
Actually, she didn't really answer any of my questions, but I don't think she was being evasive. How was she to know I was from a whole different world?
She walked be out of the shop, down a dirt road, past a HUGE stone wall surounding a small city and into a little 'botique'. There was a cat at the register. A CAT, in a brown hat with a feather in it, and it SPOKE!
She bought me a new pair of boots (they were kind of cheep but I wasn't going to complain) and a clean outfit. In fact the more we talked the more at ease she felt (hard to tell as she was very laid back to begin with). She talked to the cat (as if it were NORMAL) and got me something called a "starter pack" and even a house! I couldn't believe it, she didn't even call me crazy when i told her about Zim being an alien! (which he totally is btw)
She set me up with everything i could need to survive here, and even told me how to earn my own money. Soon I was making friends and fitting in, then someone told me about something called a search. Apparently I could find anybody, anywhere in this strange world just by knowing their name. So I renewed my search for Zim, and found him!
He had been looking for me as well, not as lucky as me he had landed in the middle of an empty lot ready for houses to be built on it. His Invader instincts kicking in he claimed a lot like it was his right and dared anybody to defy him, then went about making a base, but the most important thing he thought to do, was look for me. He figured the search out long before I did, but he discovered something I hadn't yet. There were other Dibs!
Dib, Gaz, Zim, there were dozens of then, some looking like us, some looking completely different, but it was unnerving. Apparently he harassed and attacked at least two of them. Typical Zim.
When we met we immediately launched into a battle, despite Sara's attempts to prevent it. It was only when others intervened did it end, and even then we were severely injured. At least I was, I very nearly lost an eye, even had to wear bandaged for weeks. Zim didn't get off scratch free either.
We've been here months now and Sara has taken care of both me and Zim while we adjust to this strange world, keeping us separate and in line. How could she help that scum! I need to convince her he's evil before it's too late! Worse yet, Zim is collecting "friends" they are worshiping him like some kind of cult god! Even my lookalike copies! And GAZ!
It doesn't matter if this is a real world or some strange mystical one, I have to protect it, it's only a matter of time before Zim gets back to his old tricks, and I have to be there to defend these people.
Even if all I leave behind as weapon is these entries.
I want to survive and return to my family, but it looks like for now at least, this is my home. I will protect it.
