The next morning, urgent news came from the alliance…
“Sirs, we have an invasion…” said the Knight.
Shasl Village, the north eastern side of the continent that acts as a weapons smithy and mass weapons refinery for the soldiers and Knights of the alliance, is now under siege. The villagers quickly evacuated their homes as the brave soldier’s tests out their weaponry. Some made from weird long-range devices to indestructible shields; the Knights patrolling nearby the town were dispatched to their aid. Soon they were outnumbered and the village will be to ashes, later that day, Lucifer came at a cliff overseeing the village, he raised up his hand to signal his troops to back out, as if his plan to lure Licija will going to be as planed. Sometime later, the village people returned to their ruined village as well as the Knights came from Hoasehe late as it seems. As Lucifer foresaw, the Knights escorted Licija to guard them as they rebuild their village. The demons slowly gathered more in numbers and behind the mountains they await ‘till sunset.

Sunset falls; the whole village came to rest as well as the other Knights. But Licija didn’t rest, she sensed something that there is something awfully bad will happen and it’s just nearby… As she wonder around the town, she saw a kid that was running carefully out of the village, she stealthily follows the kid as they reached the other side of the mountains. And there, she found out the demons are about to be dispatched, Licija ran as fast as she could, but when she returned to the village, she was too late. The ambush had already started… behind her the second batch along with Lucifer, are coming at her path. She readies her sword as if she will courageously take them one by one. And out of nowhere, a hooded figure aims at a distance with bow and arrow, releases and had hit her knees. Licija stumbles and quickly recovers to defend herself, she against a horde of demons and then they stopped as Lucifer came to her with the cursed sword pointed on her face.
“So, we meet at last, how intriguing to see you fall before me, Licija.” Lucifer said with a devilish gaze upon her.
“Who are you? And how did you knew my name?” she asks.
“Treat me as your Uncle in the underworld, Licija. I know about your parents of how they secretly lived as human and a Valkyrie.”
“You’re making non-sense… Why don’t you just kill me instead you talk more babble.”
“No, I had other plans for you. I can’t kill you… for now that is.”
“-So, Licija, glad of you re-appear from your hiding. I guess your father did hide you from the truth. Can’t say how beautiful Valkyries are… especially when they’re young.” Virgil appears in lined with the demons that gathered around them.
“You…! I knew you… you’re somehow familiar to me.” Soul remembered his face somewhere along the past, but she can’t for now due to the circumstances at hand.
“Aww, please everyone knows me. There’s no time Lu, the Knights are inbound. Take her; we’ll discuss this at the fortress.”
Lucifer used the flat side of the sword, hardly slapped her to the face she was unconscious. Later, blind folded, she heard screams; torture devices are making noises, she tries to struggle but it seems that she was tightly tied to a chain both hands and feet. Then she heard someone walks in.
“Now, where were we? Oh, yes…” She familiarizes the voice of Virgil, and then she felt pain when he punched her to the abdomen.
‘Ugh…’
“Not so long ago, your father was a gatekeeper, a cult that opened the portal for us in Shintoz. But there a twisted catch, your father fall in love with a Valkyrie. Now, Valkyries are not meant to be here on earth… because we rule the evil desires of human hearts, as for them, they only guards the battlefield to send souls to Valhalla, or so-called warrior’s paradise.”

When Virgil finished his speech, she suddenly felt the blades of his sword cuts to her flesh, she can’t scream yet yell for her mouth was also tied with a cloth.
‘No, please, that’s enough…’
“But the thing is we hated, that your father impregnates your mother and lived in harmony, can’t believe that he switched sides to His aid. And you came along, you grew up into a fine maiden now rebelled against her kind. Cant you even read my warning?”
Licija finally remembers the one who murdered her mother and also responsible for the cursed message written on the wall, it was Virgil. The memories came back to her thoughts, when she was a kid, stood before her deceased mother; Virgil appeared on her front as she cries in sorrow. His sword was already placed on her neck only a single slash will end her young life, but as little Licija cries, Virgil gazed upon her eyes, the blue and red colors that signifies that she was a half breed of both sides of the balance… the good and evil merged into one gifted child. Virgil sheaths back his sword and vanishes away. The blind fold begins to wet as she cries, her body begins to drought out of strength as if she’ll accept her ultimate fate… only death will be her escape to this torture.
“There is no chance for the humans to stay safe here as you walk the earth, Licija… Join us and let the new kingdom rise and make this world only our paradise. The ‘boss’ will be proud of you.” Virgil came near her to remove the blind fold tied around her eyes and removes the chains tied to her hands and feet. Licija stumbles in front of Virgil, later Lucifer came by.
“Is she dead?” Lucifer asks.
“No, she collapsed.” He replied.
“Good, we are able to use her as a hostage for the alliance to forcefully surrender.”
“Alright, I’ll take care of her.”
“Licija, don’t be a fool. You are stronger than any human, you are a god!” Lucifer kicked her then left the torture room.
“You’d better stay here, watch the human torture as if you see fit!” Virgil added and walks away the room.
Beaten and alone, Licija survived the discriminations and brutalities of the gatekeepers of hell. Lying on her own pool of blood, she came to realize that she alone can make a difference. Remembering the death of her mother, the eye contact in between a demon and a mortal, the cursive message, and the death of her father means something to her… she has the hidden key the underworld seeks to conquer the human world. As human were repeatedly tortured, the sorrows triggered her body glowed to a white aura calling forth the hidden soul that her mother’s blood bestowed upon her. Even without the sword on her hand, she calls forth for it from far away to bring it back to her hand. Like lightning, the sword itself goes dashing from the place where it was left to the mountains where her master awaits, it pierced through the fortress like a huge comet that alarmed everyone inside. Virgil and Lucifer came to sense that she had finally awakened from the terrible things she came though. Moments later, patrolling demons came to the torture room where Licija was imprisoned is destroyed, the demons inside were killed and the humans that was being tortured in it was gone. Outside, Licija escorted the fortress victims far away from the evil fortress and lead them to the safe pathways on route to the foot of the mountain. The victims were grateful to her as she returned back to the fortress, swiftly she ran like there’s no time to waste, and the demons scatters to find their victims that are meant to be served as a sacrifice to their ‘boss’. Licija made her way to the throne room where she had to settle the unfinished encounter.
