This entry is about the Invisible Children (no theyre not super heros).
They are children living in Uganda,Africa and have been involved in a
war that has been going on for 22 years now. Like longer than
the Iraq war. There are different types of Invisible children. There are
Night Commuters, Sexual Slaves, Kidnappies, Bush Babies, and Child
Soldiers. I'll explain them one by one. Night commuters are children
that walk 12 miles from about five in the morning to about three in
the afternoon. They walk all that time so they can sleep in a concrete
gated hospital on a solid concrete floor. That leads me to Kidnappies.
Kidnappies are children mostly undre the age of 12 kidnapped by
the resistance. Leading to child soldiers. Child saoldiers are kidnapped
boys forced to fight in the war between the resistance and the government.
Lemme tell ya...The Resistance thinks theyre doin the Lords work and
all are not nice people. When they kidnapp children...can you guess
what they do with the girls? Two words. Sex Slaves. They are given
to the higher ranks to do with them as they please. So they are treated
with the respect of a prostitute without getting paid. Imagine the fear if
you were one of these girls. Imagine the humiliation you would recieve
after getting back if you arent killed or if you escape. These men have no
protection so if you are fertile and have started your period you could
become pregnant. Under 12 years old. And if you try to escape and
they catch you they bring you back, gather everyone up and make an
example of you. They slay you on the spot. No mercy what so ever.
Okay I don't know about you but I'm getting depressed so I'm changing
the subject. Bush Babies. The not so flattering term given to you if you
are an accident created by the not so careful Resistance generals.
You are laughed at and ridiculed and teased to no end. You are given
treatment no better than a pile of elephant crap. Living in Uganda is
horrible. Children at the age of 10 and 11 are having sex and using
nasty dirty sandwich bags for protection because they arent taught
