12 years of age, with soot black short hair, a single bang escaping the swept back trend. Often, he's dressed in a blue vest, combats, and blue sandals.
Kenji is a about average height for his age, 5ft, weighing in at a little over seven stone. With his black hair and grey eyes, he's often quite the looker for girls. This even more so, when he tells them how he got his scar on his left cheek. It's a slash from when he single handedly fended off an attack by Shinobi on his family.
Kenji comes with a built in confidence, and friendliness around girls, boys tend to annoy him due to their abrasive attitude, but girls he tends to get on with better. Besides, the fact he's a womanizing twelve year old...
Although he isn't overconfident, or cocky, when confronted with certain situations that demand his full attention, he can often be a little wayward, or ditsy, getting distracted over the slightest thing, and sometimes going into a day dream without realizing his situation.
That being said, he's a huge fan of day dreaming, and girls, so the two usually coincide, not that he's a pervert, as he hates those. Actually, he has a little bit of a phobia about being naked, and observing nakedness, so he shies away from it. This is interpreted by girls as being cute, and boys, cowardly.
Kenji is often found cleaning his tools and equipment when he's not training with them, and he's also fond of cooking though not particularly good at it. Another thing he enjoys is unravelling puzzles through thinking them out and working through them. It often makes him an ideal fighter, but also an ideal strategist.
Personal Biography
Takashi was raised by his family, in the southern lands of the rock country, but they lived in a place that was often riddled with civil war, it wasn't a particularly safe place to grow up in, but he was quite a survivor, and so was his family.
He grew up in a family of girls, he had three sisters, two aunts, his mother, five cousins, who were all girls, and he was thereabouts the only boy, save his father, and so, he became distant from boys.
When he was six years old, a group of bandits raided the home, he knew the day was coming when the rogue shinobi would turn on his home and try to loot it. They raped his mother, and two of his cousins, before he reacted, and violently. He couldn't stand to see the defilement any more, and sprang from his hiding place, taking one shinobi completely by surprise. He acted completely on instinct, grabbing the Shinobi's voice box, and tearing it from his throat. Another shinobi came at him with a Kunai drawn, but a stroke of luck as he tripped over his flailing comrade, meant that Kenji had enough time to whack a huge priceless vase over his head. His father was not happy after that event.
The third shinobi however, had caught him unaware, and almost took his head off, if it wasn't for his sister pulling him out of the way just in time. The wakizashi still cut deep into his cheek, and he pulled away from his sister barreling into the shinobi, knocking him a few feet backwards. His four foot frame, had done more than he could hope for, as the Shinobi swung back for him with the Wakazashi. Biting on the Shinobi's genitals however, he put paid to that attack, and his sister finished off the Shinobi with a punch to the face, in revenge for her rape.
The actions had earned him his father's pride, and his family's loyalty, and after the wars were settled a few years later, they sent him to Konoha academy, where he could learn to be a ninja of merit.
Family Biography
His father was a Genin shinobi, but retired to become a weapon smith, and he became quite skilled at it. His mother was a Chuunin shinobi, and she was often away on missions. All in all though, his family was a weapon smith family, and often created their own weapons.
The Takashi brand was also quite well renowned throughout Konoha by the time he got there.
That's really all there is to the family, they were rather quiet as a family, owned a single shop and had a decent income.
Now kenji himself has a few problems with techniques. He's fond of being indirect and not actually letting the opponent be aware of what he's doing, so he hates, direct and flashy techniques, but he uses them to cover up something else he's doing. Though that being said, he's fairly good with all three styles of Ninjutsu, having a particular strength in Genjutsu and Taijutsu.
Ninjutsu, is probably his weakest style, not because he isn't good at it, but because he has a slightly smaller amount of Chakra than most, and he has to learn to control it and become more efficient. Medical techniques are also a little beyond him because they often require seeing blood. Another thing he doesn't particularly like, as it reminds him back of when his family were attacked.
It's often said, that he's a Water type Shinobi, because he tends to work slowly, and sometimes haphazardly. In more than a few occasions he's found himself in situations where he's had to make use of his surroundings, and seemingly flow around them. Though he isn't very balanced naturally, he has a good eye into balancing things out in the end.
If a person were to come at him with direct and precise attacks, he'd be easily able to avoid them, but those that attack, and weather out his style, rather than just attacking to score a hit, he's rather weak with.
