Roleplay Starters.

Her feet pounded against the ground, her legs carrying her as fast as they possibly could, pushing her forward into the pitch black. The air was cold, nearly freezing, but her mind had blocked out the burning in her lungs and skin, and her adrenaline had made short work of pushing away the pain in her muscles. She could her the shouting behind her, telling her to stop, that she couldn't loose them. They were probably right, but that wasn't going to stop her, not when she'd already gotten so far. Not slowing an, her hand moved up to her neck, working at the clasp of a chain collar; and in a few seconds, she had removed it and let it drop to the ground. She kept on, and by now, she could hardly see a few inches in front of her, so she never saw what was about to happen next, and her only hint was that the yelling behind her was suddenly louder, and almost sounded desperate. Then suddenly, the ground beneath her feet was gone, and she was falling fast. Within seconds, she could hear waves crashing against rocks, and though it was a distant sound, it was growing steadily closer, and it simply informed her how far she was actually going to fall, and she doubted she was going to survive. But maybe death was better than being taken back. Breathlessly, she closed her eyes, awaiting the impact she was sure was coming.

One moment, there was only the crackle of dry leaves cracking under footsteps, and a girls own heavy breathing as she ran, then the loud pop of a gun firing. A short gasped escaped Octobers light pink lips at the loud sound , the breath cut off suddenly as her back exploded with pain, and she collapsed forward, the impact of the ground knocking the breath from her lungs, and causing a throbbing to start in her head. Within seconds, warm liquid was running down her sides, her own blood staining her shirt, and the leaf cover dirt below her. Her eyes fluttered as her vision started to blacken, and she gripped to the last strands of her quickly fading consciousness as she heard more footsteps approaching.

"I hate you! I'm never coming back!" Yelled a feminine voice as she rushed out the door of her step-father's house. "Get back in the ******** house now!" Came a man, catching the door before it slammed, he clumsily stumbled down the stairs after the teenage girl, obviously intoxicated. "All, his time I've cared for you, you little brat, even after you mother died, and this is the ******** thanks I get? You ungrateful little b***h!" He yelled. Quickly the girl whipped open the door of her small yellow eclipse, slamming it behind her and locking it as the man reached the car, his fist pounding on the window. "You never cared for me." She said, more to herself as she pulled out of the driveway and sped down the road, the man yelling incoherently behind her.

Within minutes, she was a few miles out of town, music blaring. Suddenly, there was a reflection of red and blue light behind her, she glanced around. There was no other cars around her, which wasn't surprising, considering it was nearly two thirty in the morning. "s**t.." She whispered under her breath, he must have called the cops on her. Quickly she pulled the car over to the side of the narrow, empty road, and swung the door open, not bothering to close it as she headed for the woods beside the car. There was a loud yell behind her ordering her to stop, but she ignored it, after all, it shouldn't be hard to loose him, considering how thick the trees looking. she was right. The cop pursued her, but within fifteen minutes she had lost him, but she didn't stop running just yet, she didn't want to risk it.

Nearly twenty minutes later, she finally stopped, panting heaving, her long, chocolate colored hair stuck to her forehead, and she pushed it out of the way. Her deep golden eyes scanned the area, though between the fact that it was a rather cloudy night, and there was thick tree cover over her, she could only see a few feet in front of her, and even that was a rather difficult task. Exhausted, she leaned against a tree and closed her eyes, her breath catching in her throat as she heard the crackling of dry, autumn leaves not for away.

Rain poured down in thick sheets on a nearly pitch black night, the only light came in short, yet close intervals, provided by the lightening that flashed across the sky and illuminated the forest in it's entirety. Caught in the middle of this strobe-lit forest was a girl, seventeen years of age, her long dark hair, the color of which could not be made out in such lighting, was plastered to her face in wet clumps. Her bright, amber eyes stared straight ahead, searching for some source of shelter other than a tree, and within a few minutes of darting from tree to tree, she came upon just that. In a clearing, not to far ahead was a large mansion, abandoned, she assumed. Breaking into a run, she made it to the building's large porch in nearly half a minute, though she did manage to slip once. Freezing and soaked, she pushed the door open and stepped inside, slamming it shut behind her, as if the elements would sneak in if she didn't. Once inside, she pulled of her drenched sweater and dropped it to the floor, leaving herself in a black Cami, and semi-soaked jeans.
