Appearance:

Due to the Kroot's unique ability of absorbing the traits of their fallen enemies, no two Kroot are ever the same.

Raask is a tall and gangly specimen, standing at six feet and five inches. His leathery and pitted greenish skin is characteristic to his species and age. Extending from his crown is a mass of quills used in sensory perception. Raask has taken to adorning several of these quills of golden bands and rings.

Raask values stealth and speed over defense and thus dismisses heavy armor. The only piece of armor he wears is an iron pauldron studded with raised iron studs or bumps, cylindrical in appearance. This iron pauldron is somewhat squarish with rounded edges, pitted and worn with combat and is usually covering the Kroot's right shoulder. Leather straps run from the covering across the warrior's chest with a couple buckles, seemingly for a fashionable aspect.

Something like a leather cuirass covers the Kroot's chest and shoulders. It is adorned with various paraphernalia and trophies, charms and totems. Around Raask's neck is a necklace of bones, teeth and claws, in the center of the necklace is a carved Kroothawk, a symbol of Raask's ancestral bearing.

Personality:

"To stagnate is to die..."

Raask is an intelligent being, not some dumb beast. A seed of sentience that has grown over the millenia, the Kroot is extremely deductive and astute, using his abilities to perfect his hunting technique. Raask is constantly trying to improve himself, as is the way of all Kroot.

The Kroot almost has a calm and collected manner, but is also extremely focused when it comes to a mercenary job or a hunt. With trace amounts of Ork genes floating around in him, Raask is prone to sudden temper flares, completely opposite of his usual nature. These flares will sometimes induce bouts of berserk behavior in the predator. On occasion, these moments have escalated to the point where Raask enters the Bloodwrath state, neither friend nor foe are discernible and the hunter seemingly exists only for the pleasure of the kill and feeding upon flesh.

But that's not to say the Kroot is unstable. As a mercenary alien who has seen combat on hundreds of different planets and faced each terrifying danger there, the Kroot's mentality is extremely stable, considering.

Raask is a tough character and one who's tolerance level can only be tested so much before he lashes out at those around him.

Not a very social creature, having been branded an outcast, Raask travels alone, separate from a Kindred, with only his fellow kroot hound to accompany him. Raask Skeinviir prefers the solitude in between hunts, jobs and the blood bathed glory of the battlefield.

Evolutionary Adaptations:

Chameleon- Raask was bred as the perfect hunter. His body possesses adapting pigmentation cells to better disguise himself. Due to his natural skin pigmentation, this evolutionary trait sees the most use in forested and woodland areas. In such places, the Kroot's ability to blend into the forest is greatly enhanced.

Fast Reflexes- While a Kroot is a naturally agile creature, hunting animals and beings with supernaturally fast reflexes has bred the same traits into Raask. Bursts of speed up to ____(subject to change) are possible and while he cannot dodge bullets, the Kroot comes close.

Hyperactive Nymune Organ- Raask's metabolism is extremely high for a Kroot, granting him heightened endurance and agility. The mercenary needs hardly any sleep, and if he does, it is a very light slumber, and in short naps. In response to this increased metabolism, Raask is often ravenous and hungering for something to eat.

Natural Resistance- A Kroot can process materials extremely efficiently. These materials include poisons of all types. Through encounters on various Death Worlds and adapting to the poisons ingested and subject to over the generations, Raask possesses a near immunity to most poisons. All but the strongest will have no effect or merely be absorbed or cause slight nausea or illness.
