The survivor stood next to the masked man. He pressed his back against the wall. He imitated the masked man. Before the survivor got the chance to ketch his breath, the masked man had continued to sprint down the street. The survivor ran his fastest, trying to keep up with the masked man. The loud gasp for air from the survivor was silenced by the loud burst shots from the masked man's assault rifle. The survivor put his chest to the gravel and his hands over his head.

"Move it!" The masked man yelled at the survivor that was curled into a ball. The survivor stood slowly, watching the masked man and the rest of the street. He slowly moved down the street. He took steps watching the area. What had the masked man been shooting at? The masked man stood, aiming his gun in the city windows. No hostiles were found.

By the time the survivor caught up to the masked man, the masked man continued to walk. Now, the two walked, instead of the violent sprint down the city streets. Still silence stood, neither man spoke, just walked, keeping there eyes peeled for anyone that was a threat. Odd, that the survivor had no idea who was going to harm him. It just seems that the masked man was the only person he could trust, without much exchange of words. Like a fire fighter, a police officer, or a doctor. It wasn't appointed that protecting the survivor was the masked man's job. The silence was broken when the survivor asked slowly, "What-- what happened here?"

The masked man stopped and removed his gas mask. He kept the mask around his neck. He ran his ringers through his short, uneven, brown hair. He looked at the survivor with his hazel eyes. "The world has collapsed." The soldier said it slowly and made sure the survivor understood that something had gone wrong.

The epic words had almost echoed in the survivor's ears. What had the soldier meant by what he said? “What-- what do you mean 'it collapsed?' “He looked shocked and didn't understand. The soldier began walking again. "At approximately 0400 hour Pacific Time, there were global attacks. From eastern Asia to the United States of America."

Shock and awe set in. Had it happen? Had a terrorist group attacked the United States like most Americans feared? "Unfortunately, there are no suspects or any groups held accountable towards the global attacks. Some of the attacks have spread from the middle east to the western Europe. Who ever was responsible for the attacks had gotten to the United Nation Head Quarters. There is still little to zero information on the attacks."

"It has to be a terrorist group right?" The survivor asked ignorantly. He walked behind the soldier looking around the streets. He saw more fires and more buildings with rubble falling from its side. These were building that the survivor had passed everyday he walked to his office.

"You are right more or less." The soldier said. He looked at the survivor. "But it doesn't seem probable. If you've seen the news, most of the terrorist groups fighting against the United States Military have been taken down or have disappeared. So that rules out any possibility that a group of terrorist did this global attack." The survivor nodded his head. The two continued to walk down the street. Once again silence stood between the two strangers in the post-collapsed world
