Whether it be with Gold, or with with personal problems. I also believe I can bring a completely new, spontaneous point of view into Utopia. I can make people laugh and smile like no other, and I like being someone that people can look up to and come to for advice and help. Such as my Coco Kitty and demonic Pitchfork quests on my old account. Liopleurodon was a very successful and I worked hard on that avatar. Now, I plan on coming back bigger an dbetter than ever... and with gifts! I've also won a few contests in Utopia thanks to many wonderful Utopians. I've also regained back two-fold what I had on my old account. I also own a Quest Thread for Bunny Slippers for my friend, because she's wanted them for so long. I've also helped a few people get some items they wanted recently. I gave Atomic the last bit of gold she needed for her Kiki, and I also gave another Gaian the 15k he needed for his Dark Star. Username: Drakokatze Alias/Nickname (if any): drako, neko Gaia Join Date: 03/09/2007 Current total number of posts: 74799 Why should you become a UTOPIAN (tell us your special qualities and/or skills): Well, I'm friendly and housebroken, and I play well with others. xd I've been in and out of Utopia since it was created (mostly out, I will admit, but I just keep on dropping back in to say hi to friends, etc.) and I decided it was past time I should apply to become a member. I'm a vendor and an artist, as well as a darn good librarian and researcher. I like helping others, and I love chatting. I'm not sure what else to put here, though, really. ^^; Great GAIAN Achievement/s (own a charity, finished a quest, won a contest, helped a friend, etc): I have finished multiple quests, such as for the nitemare scarf, horns of the demon, etc. I do not own a charity, but i have contributed to a few before such as Kay's 1k-1g, and lately i donated a large amount to the TGT thread for use in giveaways and other events. I also donate to friends as well to others, but a lot of that I do anonymously, and I tend to not keep track. I am running a montly giveaway, information can be found here. This account was originally my mule, but after a mishap back in July, I switched over to this account permanently. (the date on this is January 2005) Current total number of posts: 5150 Why should you become a UTOPIAN (tell us your special qualities and/or skills): I believe I should become a UTOPIAN because I feel I deserve it. I work very hard on all my quests and am constantly striving to better myself (IRL and on Gaia). And although I my quests are, what seems to be, never ending, I still find it in me to donate to others to help their quest and not just because I feel obligated to (which I really don't) but because I want to and it makes me feel good when I help people out. So once I finish my quests on Gaia and feel satisfied with my inventory, I wish to start a charity. I understand that one can own a charity and still be on quests at the same time, but I have a feeling that if I try to do both I would focus mostly on one of them and leave the other behind, only paying attention to it every once in a while, and when I have a charity I would like that to be the main thing while on Gaia for that time period. If I create one now and focus mainly on it then I would probably never finish my quests or feel satisfied with my inventory. Great GAIAN Achievement/s (own a charity, finished a quest, won a contest, helped a friend, etc): I guess one of my greatest Gaian Achievements was starting over again on this account after my old one was phished in July. At first I thought it was horrible and I moped around on here for a couple of days to a week or so after I filed my report, but I decided that moping would do me no good at all and I started over. I made a new quest thread, a new dream avi, and I met new people. I took starting over on this account as an "adventure" or just something new. I believe that my good attitude paid off because Gaia was able to recover my account with some of my more expensive items still there. And now, after 6 months on this account, which started out being worth nothing, I have managed to make my worth 2,731,986 Gold through hard work. Which to me is a lot. :3 Current Quest: Completing my dream avi (one of the few I have). I am currently working on Getting an Angelic Veil. 101k/180kish. Why should you become a UTOPIAN (tell us your special qualities and/or skills): I definitely agree with paying it forward, first of all. I totally believe in karma and what goes around, comes back around to you. Any time I've been donated to, I make a point to find someone else (randomly or on my friends list) and donate something to them. I like to keep karma on it's good side. =] Other than that, I think being a part of UTOPIA would be wonderful. A couple of my friends are and they've told me I too should apply. I like to chat, meet new people, make friends on Gaia.. I post a lot and with as big a group as UTOPIA is, that alone makes me want to be a part of it and makes me think I'd be an active addition. Great GAIAN Achievement/s (own a charity, finished a quest, won a contest, helped a friend, etc): The thing I'm most proud of are my two graphics minishops. Today actually is the 1 year anniversary for my first shop. =] Both of them have been very successful, and I'm thankful for that.. because I 100% believe that it's because of my friends taking the time to bump and chat with me on both threads that's kept them alive -- at the beginning and now. Quest achievements.. I've completed quests for items I thought I'd never have the willpower to save up for (seal and penguin slippers). I think I would make an excellent addition as a UTOPIAN member, I'm very friendly, love chatting with and meeting new people and maybe even gaining a few new friends out of the experience. I'd love to be able to help out other people with their quests, it's a very good feeling when you're able to give to others and though I don't have much to give at the moment, I do try to donate as much as I can to other users. I have a great sense of humor and it is always good times when Plumems is around! I've had it for almost a year now, I might have even had it longer.. I can't keep track, but it's a real blast. Gaia Join Date: August 2, 2008 Current total number of posts: 4,037 Why should you become a UTOPIAN: I should become a UTOPIAN because I'm extremely nice. I don't have the funds to donate to the charity, but I will donate to other UTOPIANS directly. I'm also an amateur graphics designer, I had a shop for a while, but now I like just making banners or flobs for others. The main reason I'd like to join the charity is just to make friends. I've found that charities are the best place to do so, because people are so nice. So yeah, I'm not really looking for a donation. If me getting a spot takes away from someone who really needs a donation, then by all means I understand if I don't get in. Great GAIAN Achievement/s: I don't have any really great achievements here on Gaia. I've finished multiple quests, and donated a lot. Probably the greatest is all the friends I've made. Current total number of posts: 6k+ Why should you become a UTOPIAN (tell us your special qualities and/or skills): I really just love the feel of being in a charity and being able to meet new people who share the same interests as you do. I've always been a very outgoing (albeit ridiculous and outrageous) person, and I love to give to other people, as well as help motivate them to complete their goals. I also really love just helping people, whether it's Gaia-related issues, or personal. Great GAIAN Achievement/s (own a charity, finished a quest, won a contest, helped a friend, etc): I think what I'm most proud of is two different things. One would be the giveaway thread that I currently have open where I've already donated over 400k to help others. More than that, though, is I'm happy to have made friends from that giveaway and was able to help others find people they feel comfortable with. My other would be my first artshop where I finally have a style that I'm proud of. It's a little on hold, while I study for exams, but I feel like I've finally accomplished something, since I've never finished a quest yet. Current Quest: OMG. I have a limited amount of skills, but I work hard to use those skills to help others. Sometimes, out of nowhere, I feel like donating to someone who is questing hard for something but it a hard time doing it; I know I can help them and I do. I think having me as part of Utopia would be a great addition, I have great social skills, love to make new friends and meet new people. I plan on staying with Utopia and hopefully meeting some great new people there. Like many others, I also wish to open a charity once I am done questing for all my items that I would like to have. It has been a dream of mine to help out others and become able to have the sufficient funds for what I want to do as part of the Gaian community. Great GAIAN Achievement/s (own a charity, finished a quest, won a contest, helped a friend, etc): I believe I have made many great achievements, from making it to fifteen thousand posts to getting many items that I have wanted. As of right now, I own a bump shop and have won many contests. Helping out others whenever I can is a big achievement to me, because I like helping out people who seek it. An example of this being, helping out someone's charity by funding a page prize while they are questing (was also made a Mod and Co-Owner for the Charity long after they opened), and also opening up a free graphics shop for everyone to enjoy from. I have also completed three dream avatars thanks to some generous Gaians and my hard work. Current Quest: I'm currently questing items. I prefer not to quest for a specific item as my preferences do change quite a bit. I'm a hard worker when it comes to my quests and I'm very grateful for every bit of help that people have provided. I guess I feel like I've worked hard enough for myself and others, too, that I can be a Utopian. ^^ Great GAIAN Achievement/s : Well... I owned a charity back in... 07. I had a great group of dedicated regulars; we were close. ^^ I gave out a lot. XD Eventually I had to close simply because I ran out of funds. It was an amazing experience to help people in little ways like that. I've completed so many quests; I'm so grateful. <3 The quests I'm most proud of are probably for my Coco (which I donated away a few months ago), my Demonic Anklets, my Lunar Cowl and Cloak (which I also donated), and my Lotus. I've won 10k and Yokai's Treasure from bumping contests. Amazing, but I worked my butt off so I feel I deserved them. X3 The Coco donation was probably the most I've ever helped someone. They were really happy. ^-^ I like helping people out with their threads and supporting them. Being a friend and stuff. Self taught in photoshop and html/css and I'm still learning though so I'm not great. Recently I've been running out of gold and my mom won't let me buy anymore gaia cash so yeah ^^; That and I don't get to go on much except sometimes during weekends so I don't have time to earn gold. =/ Other than that I'm a big tekteker and I do a lot of contests for it and I have won several. Sometimes gold, but when I could I would buy them an item or two they were questing. I finished my first Quest for a MC in only 2 weeks, so I consider that a very big accomplishment. I finished my Dream avvie earlier this year, grand total of 480K! And then, just last month, I finished my boyfriend Zealot Neo’s dream avvie, 940K -dies-, had to clean out my inventory, but it was worth it! I was really proud I could do it, and that so many nice gains had helped me out. I won 3rd place in an art contest once : ) but I think that’s the only contest I’ve ever won. I’ve owned 2 Art shops! I am a fun person and I enjoy spending time with new people. I guess one of my skills is that I am witty and fun, it come out a lot because I am an Improv player. My skills include a proficiency in Japanese although my English is far better; I still work hard to keep my Japanese on par. I love drama and art although I am not very good at the art part.
