If you did not make it in there's always next time, folks! Welcome to another round of applications for UTOPIAN members! Please make sure you have read the GUIDE for Future UTOPIANs as well as everything on this page before you apply. Anyone can apply, regardless of your gold, status, etc. Even if you are not a regular of the charity you can still apply but chatting and posting makes you stand out and have a greater chance of being chosen. * Every LAST week (approximately) of the month UTOPIA's doors will be open for up to 30 60 new UTOPIANs (We can range from having 1 new member or the whole 60 new members). This period may change depending on our staff's schedules and free time though. So how does UTOPIA choose? First check if you qualify based on our requirements, and then make sure you’re one of the first 30 people to apply. * REMEMBER, check the top of this entry to find the time period during which you can apply. (Around the end of each month) If you apply in June, you are applying to be a JULY member, NOT a June member. * A NEW JOURNAL entry will be made for each month, so DONT POST an application for an older month (Ex. On this account I joined February 9th, 2009. Current total number of posts: Currently 1,580 posts on this account. Why should you become a UTOPIAN (tell us your special qualities and/or skills): I think that I should be able to join because of my qualities. For one I always read everything in depth before I even think of joining. I have been reading this journal entry and practically all of the entries that have been submitted to be a UTOPIAN. Some of my qualities are that I am a people person, a great leader, and I know what most people like to see when they view a thread. I know this may seem bad, but I can change my personality to fit people's needs and wants, but it does come in handy sometimes. Great GAIAN Achievement/s (own a charity, finished a quest, won a contest, helped a friend, etc): I have completed some minor quests with no help at all, so I understand how how much hardship people go through. I have made many friends on this account in the few months I've been here on this account. Current Quest: I am currently questing this avatar. I know it seems like a stretch, but I am always up for a challenge. On that avatar I am questing Panda slippers. I also love chatting and talking more than bumping, so I would really contribute in keeping the charity happy and alive heart Great GAIAN Achievement/s (own a charity, finished a quest, won a contest, helped a friend, etc): I previously owned a charity before called Rainbow Wishes, though I have closed it down due to business and school. I donated a lot since then, too and had contests and stuff like that. ♥ Well the first time I came back to Gaia again (I go on hiatuses whenever school has to take over my life) I always end up donating a lot of gold to questers. I remember giving out 10k every week or so to the regulars of my Charity before. I also remembered donating 60k to the SOS event eek . ~The biggest quest I have ever finished consisted of the Coco Kitty, the Dark Halo, Mythrill Halo, the Panda Slippers. But I'm aiming for something bigger now... Current total number of posts: 9731 Why should you become a UTOPIAN (tell us your special qualities and/or skills): I'm (mostly) friendly, humorous, realistic, and, most importantly, honest. I don't know if those are special qualities, though, since they seem to be quite common. I am very good at organizing things, and enjoy filing and keeping track of things. Great GAIAN Achievement/s (own a charity, finished a quest, won a contest, helped a friend, etc): I have never owned a charity, but I have donated to a few people that asked nicely. I have also donated and helped out a few friends with their quests, or when they have been banned wrongfully/hacked, by giving them gold directly or joining a joint thread auction to help them. I have won contests before, but they are usually bumping contests or "#_ poster on #_ page" contests. My biggest quest was an Angelic Pendant, which I completed before I went on a hiatus. (Later on, I quested a large sum of gold to buy a commission that certainly was not worth 350k ..) When I came back to Gaia, I sold my Pendant and spent a few days in the Exchange to get my Horns of Demon. Current Quest: I'm trying to get my trading pass back first. I am a sporadic giver. Usually to the tune of 20-30k. giggles That makes questing particularly difficult for me, but as I would much rather have happy Gaians and friends than pixels, it seems like a good idea. This is my first quest of any item worth over 100k, and I am questing three. It should be interesting/fun/daunting. Now on to the really exciting part. I absolutely LOVE blue daffodils. You know the little ones that you can pull up from the ground in towns? And here is the beginning of a blue daffodil bouquet charity that I am constructing. Because I believe that a “Blue Daffodils for Blue Days Thread” would help us Gaians understand that even when our IRL situations get too terrible we are not alone in that/this huge world. (: Great GAIAN Achievement/s (own a charity, finished a quest, won a contest, helped a friend, etc): well, as for great gaian achievements, I would say that the only achievement I would consider as "great" would be the charity I ran called Potchie's Place. It was a very succesful charity until such time that I had to close it down due to some IRL issues.. other than that, I don't think I have any more gaian achievements which would be considered as "great". ^-^ Current Quest: currently the kottan bell & the nartian rock. I am very down to earth! I often put others needs in front of my own, simply because I love to help them achieve their goals. It makes me very happy. I love to mingle with everyone, newbs and oldbies, regardless of their status. I don't care whether they are rich or poor. Great GAIAN Achievement/s (own a charity, finished a quest, won a contest, helped a friend, etc): My most recent gaian achievement was finally buying my kiki kitty. I have wanted one for forever, but I never really kept the gold around long enough to establish it as a quest. I successfully ran two 225k tek tek contests to give gold to people who may not be able to draw a masterpiece, or make an amazing graphic. Instead, they can use something everyone can use! Tek Tek! I donate whenever I see someone working hard for their item, and throughout my tek tek contests. In my art request, I bought the art no matter how much other people might think it wasn't that great. The people work hard on their art, regardless of how amazing it is or how it is coloured. Current Quest: None. Well, I suppose now it is donate all my extra gold to those who really want it. I've never really ever quested, even for the kiki kitty, because I always saw someone who struggled with gold more than I did. I love meeting new people and getting to know them. I have a few friends that are UTOPIANS, and because of them and what I have heard them say, I would love to join and get to know the people of UTOPIA. I've been considering applying for some time now, but I never could think of what to say on my application. I love helping fellow Gaians whenever I can. I run a charity and have met many great people running it. I love the Charity forum and consider it my home on Gaia. I consider myself smart, but I do have my moments. {The thread said applications open till June 6th, and the Journal says the 4th, so I'm going to take a chance and hope they are open until the 6th. I also read things thoroughly, like the applications earlier and the entire journal. Also I'm friendly and I like to welcome new comers with open arms. Great GAIAN Achievement/s: One of my greatest gaia achievment was finishing questing all my dream avatar's item except one. Does that count as a achievement? My favorite part of Gaia is that it's so easy to just slip into a thread like this one or many of the others in the Charity forum and become a part of that community and make great friends along the way. I get very involved in these types of threads. Also, when I put my mind to something like a quest or just collecting gold, I get it done quickly and efficiently. A quest for me (anything under 300k), will be done in under two weeks. Oftentimes I use this skill to aide other people in their quests as well. Overall, I'm hardworking, honest, and very friendly toward anyone new to a thread. Great GAIAN Achievement/s: I've finished multiple quests, and helped my boyfriend with 3 quests of his own, a Chyaku Norisu scarf, an Anima Adamantea, and a Nano-C. Current Quest: All four Embryonic Vials. I already have one, and I'm working on the Ma.Ov.ph Embryonic Vial currently. I'm also willing to make graphics and do other odd jobs as prizes or favors for people who need them. Great GAIAN Achievement/s (own a charity, finished a quest, won a contest, helped a friend, etc): I'd say my greatest Gaia achievement as of now was helping one of my gaia-friends through a major personal crisis, mostly through PMs, as she had no real-life friends around at the time and her parents were being rather unsupportive. I'm a person who wants to effect the lives of others, pixelated or in the real world. To have them say thank you means the world to me, and seeing a spark in their eyes makes my heart cry out. But due to my giving spree, I had not the money to afford giving out donations anymore. The items that have value in my inventory I cannot sell, because they were given to me by others who ask me not to sell them seeing as I've sold everything. Despite this, I try donating my best, and finding ways to earn a bit more cash. Great GAIAN Achievement/s (own a charity, finished a quest, won a contest, helped a friend, etc): I'm a participator of a donate to the person above you thread, I have donated over 15 million of items that I've generated since 05, I've given out enormous items such as coco, picolitrosso's urn, dark halos, etc. But this is because of the kindness others has demonstrated of me.
