Everything You Know Could Possibly Be A Lie
Ok, so in case your wondering, I love to write and this will soon be where I spend most of my time on Gaia. This won't actually be a 'journal.' Hopefully, this will turn into something meaningful.

Cedric, a guy who always seemed to be in the right place at the perfect time, sat awaiting dinner and awaiting her arrival. Emily, or Em as he was allowed to call her, arrived somewhat late to the Great Hall. Most who knew her thought of her as the typical quiet outcast. She was shy and showed little confidence. All of this she must thank her past for, however these traits were not present in her anymore. Her walk was more of a confident stroll that could have stopped anyone dead in there tracks that looked at her. She took one triumphant step into the hall that called the attention of many of the students from all four houses. One by one heads turned and whispers were exchanged. Emily was not the same. Her hair, once a deep brown, consisted of all the usual hair colors. She had a little bit of every color in her hair. Red, brown, black, blonde, and even grey hairs were present in her long and enchanting hair. Not only was her hair different, her facial expressions and body type changed, too. When you looked at her, she gave off and illusion of great height when really she was only 5 foot and 6 inches tall. Her body, once thin and frail, showed great strength. The look of her was quite mezmorizing and somewhat intimidating. Step by step more glances came her way when at last word reached Cedric. He turned and saw a different girl than he had remembered. His eyes watched her walk towards the empty seat next to him as he began to discover every inch of her body that changed. The only change in his Em that he would not allow himself to believe was the change in her eyes. Cedric had always loved her big, brown beautiful eyes that almost gave off and energy that he couldn't describe. Now, when he looked in her eyes as she next to him without a smile, he saw the same color, but instead of seeing a sweet innocence in her, he saw passion and a fire in her that was simply unable to be put in words. Cedric was compelled to touch her face which was something he coul ont resist. He no longer knew her. Before his hands met her cheek, Emily grabbed his hand and spoke the words, "Have faith in me...It is me...". His one and only Em was not the same girl. She cried softly throughout the sorting of the 1st years and held Cedric's hand tightly. Normally, they spent a few days out of the summer together to play Quidditch together or to celebrate his birthday, but this summer was far different. Em never wrote him, never spoke to him, never saw him once. Emily missed him almost as much as she misses her parents who were victims out of the many of Lord Voldermort. Cedric realized that he shouldn't be as worried for her as he was. It wasn't as though they were best friends. He was merely a guardian for her. Cedric always felt it was his duty to protect her seeing as how she has no one who was left dead to the hands of the Dark Lord. He removed his hand from hers to eat and had decided to wait until they were in the safety of their common room to confront her. Em did not touch her food.

Later that night when they were the only two left awake in the common room, Emily broke the silence.

Em: I'm sorry I missed your birthday.

Ced: It's ok...

(flatly said)

Emily leapt from a big armchair in the shadows and grabbed on to Cedric as if it depended on her life. Cedric, happy to see her, held her for what felt like hours. When they finally let go, Cedric saw that she was crying. Something great, something godly had happened to her and Cedric was waiting for her to tell him what made her change.

In the midst of her tears, Em cracked a smile and slowly but surely began to laugh.

Ced: Are you mad???

Em: (still laughing) no!.... I...I'm just so happy to be home!!!

Em grabbed Cedric's hand and guided him to the couch. This time when he looked upon her, he saw something serious in her face. He then knew the secrets of her summer of change were about to emerge.
