History:
Shun-Yu was born in feudal China not as the monster he is today but as a human by the name of Shan Yao. Brought up by a rice farmer, he lived a simple life until he was called into military service for his country at age sixteen. After he served under a infantry unit for almost an entire year, he returned home as a war veteran with nothing more then the cloths on his back. Shortly after returning, he inherited his father‘s farm after he pasted away and married his childhood friend, Tsao Hung. With his new wife and home, things didn’t seem like they could go wrong. However, hardships were soon bestowed on Shan Yao’s family.
An unprecedented amount of rain fell during the wet season, causing the entire country side to be succumbed to flooding. In a desperate attempt to save his friends and family, he sacrificed his own live to save lives of his family. With his village destroyed, Shan Yao’s friends and family buried his body on the outskirts of town and rebuilt the broken village to begin life anew. Over the years, Shan Yao’s wife replaced him with another man.

Not wanting to be forgotten, Shan-Yao’s soul separated from itself, causing the good and mature half to go to the afterlife while the impulsive, childish half returned to his body. Laying in dormant, the dark energies corrupted his body until it barely resembled a human. Over the years, Shan Yao’s corpse gained enough power to dig out of his grave. With little intelligence and virtually no memory of his past, the undead knew only how to survive.
Though it took decades, the corruption process started to reverse itself for the better. He started looking more and more alive, with his hair changing from dull black to pale white until eventually the lively blonde it is today. His skin changed from a rotting green to a pale, almost human blue and regain most of his human intelligence, wisdom and memories. Deciding it was for the best, he left his broken down village, taking only what he was buried with and the only other thing to survive the decades of wear and tear. Knowing he wasn’t Shan Yao anymore, he decided took up the persona of Shun-Yu, a mischievous spirit that only cares for itself.

During his travels, he came across a fighting tournament simply called “The Fighting Grounds“ that took place in an arena that took up a city block. Thinking it would be a complete waste of time to compete in a contest filled with humans with no supernatural powers, he instead headed for the nearest bar to get drunk and pick up “the ladies”. There, he met a giant of a man drinking and boasting of his glories in battle. Shun-Yu instantly knew he was a nut as he claimed to be from “Asgard” and that he was sent to this realm as a prophet of battle.
Thinking it would be worth the laugh, the intoxicated vampire jokingly boasted that he could take the puny man in a fight. What the foolish young vampire didn’t know was that the man WAS an Asgardian and had mastery over the element of lightning. Needless to say the vampire lost that fight. With the bar trashed and the barbarian gone to fight in the tournament, unannounced to the young vampire, Shun-Yu was forced to pay for the damages.

The now broke vampire need money and money badly as his entire life style depended heavily on it. This is when he remembered the fighting tournament and that it probably had a huge payoff. Signing up, he cleared through the preliminaries rather quickly as most of the contestants were regular humans just as he earlier guessed. During the semi-finals he again saw the Asgardian. Not one to hold a grudge, especially not when intoxicated, the young vampire gained the respect of the proud warrior and even befriended him before the rematch.
As the first real fight he had ever participated in and was serious, Shun-Yu was forced to improvise attacks and skills he now uses in his martial arts. While sloppy in style and losing a limb in the process, the Asgardian had lost the fight. Despite losing the next match to “The Famed Mimic”, he still earned quite a bit of money. Seeing the Asgardian before he went away on his travels, Shun-Yu and him had a pleasant exchange of word before the barbarian declaring them “brothers”, which was more than an oddity for the young vampire. Shun-Yu happily agreed and set off himself in search more entertainment.

Personality:
While he isn’t the smartest person around, Shun-Yu isn’t quite dumb either. While being just as book smart as the average human, simple common sense escapes him. This is because he cannot make rational thoughts as if someone preformed a reverse lobotomy upon him. This is due to him not having half of his soul and thus no moral compass. While one couldn’t tell by his constantly sporadic attitude, Shun-Yu is actually is a down to earth kind of guy. He loves children and sometimes spends years at a time goofing off. Most of the time, children tend to like him back because of his zany antics; a trait that has served him quite well over the years. The only thing he loves as much as children is money and women.
A true pervert at heart, he hits on any women of at least average looks regardless of circumstance or others around him. This has gotten him into minor confrontations many times before, though he has little choice in the matter. Having only the darker yet childish half of the soul, he acts on his any and all of his impulses unless it will get him seriously maimed or killed. Just as greedy as he is perverted, nothing brings a smile to his face faster than the glistering of the gold in his pocket. With his immature soul, he must act on his impulses making him a true mercenary despite not even needing money to sustain himself. The only things he won’t do for money involve harming himself, his wife or his brother (permanently anyway).

When it comes to having any social class, Shun-Yu is a lost cause. Childish, clumsy and overall unmannered; he acts nothing like a superior form of undead should. While he is an entity of darkness, Shun-Yu is more interested in the finer things in life then he is with killing, maiming or destroying. In fact, he cannot stand most evils for that very reason. Because of his self-centered and carefree lifestyle, Shun-Yu has managed to survive centuries with little hardships and doesn‘t plan on changing his Laissez-faire ways.
While the lazy bum has never worked a day of his afterlife, Shun-Yu is somewhat dedicated to his martial arts training. His training has helped on multiple occasions and has actually started to enjoy skirmishes. While he doesn’t normally openly seek out competition, he occasionally indulges himself with such competitions. However, if the fight turns sour for him, he flees on the drop of a hat. A coward true and through, he rather flee from a fight he can most likely win then stay and be wrong. The only time he is willing to stay in a fight that he could prominently lose in is if there is some personal stake involved.
Interestingly enough, Shun-Yu lacks emotion. While he is a very animated character, he doesn’t feel the same way people do. He instead has three basic emotions; Happy, more happy, and slightly annoyed yet still happy and joking around. He is never sad and the most amount of hatred he can bring up is disappointment. This means that Shun-Yu enjoys himself all the time to the point of having a permanent blissful high. While lacking in sadness and anger, the Jiang Shi can and does fake to emotion to seem more human when necessary.

Physical Description:
Shun-Yu isn’t a physically imposing person; standing only at 5’6” and weighting a mere 95 pounds, but what he lacks in size he makes up for in presence. With his arms enlonged even when relaxed, one can just tell he isn’t human just by looking at him with his head in particular looks different than a typical human’s. Baring a shark toothed grin most of the time, he gives off a disturbing vibe. His ears are lengthened and pointed as an adaptation to hear better while his eye sockets are darkened due to decomposing. Being amber in color, his eyes themselves seem normal while he’s calm albeit the coloring. When enraged however, his pupils disappear and the whites in his eyes seemingly disperse into a sea of blood. While his hair stretches far past the ground being nine feet in length, his eyebrows are thinned into nonexistence and has no other body or facial hair.

Weapons:
Grimfall: A badass weapon with a badass name, it originally was nothing but a finely cared for gardening implement that served as a keepsake from his homeland and past. While he had to replace the all of the original components due to the elements, it is still rather sentimental to Shun-Yu. As a weapon itself, it surpasses all but the best. The shaft, being longer then a regular shovel, is about five feet in length and is solid Chinese Yew. While it can still be used to dig, Shun-Yu slightly reshaped the blade as well as sharpened it. This made it more like a partisan, though it still has the broader blade of the shovel. This allows him to slash and chop with it while making it unwieldy to those not used to the extra weight. At the end of the shaft, there are some decorations so it wouldn’t look plain, but serves no other function. As a memento, young vampire has an affinity towards his weapon. As such, he can send the weapon to the ethereal plane and back on will. Because Shun-Yu invests some of his spiritual power inside the weapon, it can repair itself in a matter of seconds using at the cost of a portion of his reserve energy. Despite this, it is still just an ordinary shovel albeit the one used to bury the young vampire after his unfortunate demise.
(To manifest or dissipate this object, it costs 5 units to do so.)

Hair Ordainment: Originally used to pin down his hair so that it wouldn’t fly around when he was channeling spiritual energies, Shun-Yu found that this simple hair ordainment was an effective weapon. Nothing more than a ten pound weight at the end of his pony tail with his hair tied around it; his ability to move his hair allows him to move the ordainment at a relatively fast rate, turning this accessory into a single ended meteor hammer. Being fast and strong enough to break bones with relative ease on a decent hit, he must gain speed and momentum in order to do any damage. While this gives this weapon a fairly slow and predictable start up rate, it is quite effectual when completed.

Equipment:
Bead Prayer Bracelet: Worn on his left hand, Shun-Yu is never seen without his bracelet. Being made solely out of clay and red paint, it is miraculous that it is still in perfect condition. This is because it was originally his wife‘s. Shun-Yu received them when his wife buried his body so that he would always remember her. Because of it’s origin and its affinity towards the undead, Shun-Yu can channel energies from the ethereal plane into the bead memento. Shun-Yu can focus his energy for a moment to increase any of his attacks by 75 percent.
Dark Ascension: An eerie artifact from Shun-Yu’s past, it is possibly the most efficient non-magical shield the young vampire could ever find. Being over six feet in height, a half a foot in depth and weighing more then 200 lbs, it would literally be impossible for the young vampire to use as a tower shield if it wasn’t for his affinity towards it reducing it‘s weight to zero. Originally being the coffin he was supposed to be buried in, Shun-Yu strapped two leather bands onto it’s lid so he could use it as a shield. Since it has affinity towards Shun-Yu much like Grimfall, the young vampire can send the dark artifact to and from the ethereal plane and repair it on the spot. While the young vampire usually summons only the lid, he can in fact summon the entire coffin.
(To manifest or dissipate this object, it costs 5 units to do so.)

Strengths:
Undead Physique: Shun-Yu has the physical structure closer to that of the dead then a living being. While he can withstand blows that would normally kill any human, a strike to a vital organ such as the brain or the heart will still kill him. Like most undead, he doesn’t need to eat, breath or sleep since he gets his nourishment from spiritual energy. Being an animated corpse, he is highly resilient if not immune to paralysis, disease, poison, electricity, cold, and negative energy. Due to the adverse effects of Rigor Mortis and the corruption from the negative energies within himself, his basic physiology was greatly mutated. All of his appendages were altered so that they have the ability to stretch several feet. Having a max reach of 385cm, he can chip away at enemy defenses long before most can reach him. His hands in particular were corrupted to better suit his bloodthirsty habits. His hands appear normal save long black nails unless when he is agitated. At such a state his hands enlarge, turning each finger into nothing more than large exposable claws.
Even his face was altered by the dark forces inside of him. His eyes glow a monstrous hue to strike fear into those whom oppose him, while his teeth turned jagged to rip through the flesh of others. His tongue became deformed, becoming black and thin in appearance. Like his arms, it is able to stretch to inhuman proportions and is able to lift and carry simple objects. One of the favorable effects of the dark energies within himself is it corrupted his body is that he is far stronger than regular human. While he is a relatively small character, he is easily twice as strong as others his size. One aspect of his physiology that was altered greatly was his legs. Able to leap great distances, the young vampire can survive much higher jumped falls than that of a normal human and is virtually immune to falling damage. He is also capable of great acrobatic feats in midair even without his levitation. In addition, his kicking potential is phenomenal. Despite this, he usually uses his arms in fights since he doesn’t have claws on his feet.

Spirit Manipulation: One of the adverse effects of becoming undead was the lost of his sight though in return he gained the ability to see into the ethereal plane of existence as well as an acute sense of hearing. These adaptations allow Shun-Yu to track humans for sustenance. Over the years, he gained the ability to alter and control the spiritual energies around him, not just absorb them for nourishment. As Shun-Yu uses this for everything, there are some innate abilities he can use without thinking.
 Soul Drain: By touching the victim, he can drain a portion of their soul and absorb it to feed himself or increase his reserve energy. If he holds on for too long, the victim‘s soul will be completely devoured and they will perish. If someone were to die by this mean, they will be risen as a mindless undead under his control. Though he cannot drain through thicker materials like steel, he can easily take spiritual energy through materials like cloth. For unexplained reason, the process of stealing souls is longer or even impossible on certain individuals.
(Shun-Yu gains an equivalent amount of power he drains as well as 15 units per post from latent energies in the air.)
 Airdashing: Shun-Yu can defy the laws of gravity by using the ethereal energies within and around him to lift his body in any direction he chooses. Gaining effectively a second jump or propelling himself in a single direction, Shun-Yu can use this ability to dodge in mid air. He can use this up to three times every time he jumps.
(It costs 5 units per airdash)
 Spirit Extraction: All spiritual energy is broken up into two main forms, positive and negative energy, with positive representing holy and negative evil. By separating the opposing forces from each other, Shun-Yu can align any of his pulse attacks at the cost of half efficiency. To prevent harming himself with excess positive energy, he stores excess in the ethereal plane.
(Shun-Yu loses 2.5 units of his reserves in transition.)
 Spirit Exchange: One cannot create or destroy energy, though one can exchange it for another form. By sending negative or positive energy into the ethereal plane, he can exchange it for the other. As it takes energy to access the ethereal plane, some of the energy is lost during this process. In conjunction with Spirit Extraction, effectively turn spirit energy into light or dark energy with minimum energy loss.
(Shun-Yu loses 2.5 units of his reserves in transition.)
 Megaton Punch: Many combatants who use spirit attacks use a soft palm to strike an opponent with their chi instead of their fists. The young vampire thought that was stupid as one can hit them with both at the same time. While his normal punches are imbued with spiritual energy, he can take his attacks it to the next level. By releasing an amount of energy that actually is self damaging to the user, it causes the young vampire’s punches to be able to lift the average combatant several feet off the ground. He cannot, however, sustain that forever and thus uses that to damage studier opponents.
(Every basic punch drains 5 units of his reserves.)
 Hallow Shell: By surrounding himself in a small layer of ethereal energy, Shun-Yu creates a small barrier around him. Since it follows his every movement, it does not inhibit his mobility and he draws in any amount of the barrier that isn‘t used up to protect himself, recycling it for later use. To be at max proficiency, the barrier can only be paper thin, giving him equal protection only that of leather armor.
(Every attack deals less damage to Shun-Yu, though it drains his reserves by 10 units. Weaker hit drains 5 units.)
 Astral Projection: Shun-Yu learned he could do this upon accident. It causes his soul to leave his body so it can travel on its own. Since it doesn’t have any combat uses, the young vampire considers it “lame” and never uses it outside of contacting brother to set up fights.

Ranged Abilities:
Dark Pulse: Releasing some of his spiritual energy in an explosive blast, Shun-Yu can create a wave of energy to damage his opponents. When used on the ground, it rises out of the earth and flows straight until it reaches its final destination. When used in the air, the wave of energy is launched in a crescent shape towards his opponent with similar properties. Despite being harder to hit with then some of his other techniques, Shun-Yu prefers the Dark Pulse over them for mundane combat due to it being the most energy efficient. Though it is called Dark Pulse, it is neutral in affinity unless Shun-Yu decides to alter its properties.
(Being a basic attack, it costs 5 units)

Spirit Pulse: By concentrating his spirit energy into his index and middle fingers, he releases it as an airborne projectile. Usually taking the form of a ring projectile the size of a cannonball. Being the most accurate of any of his attacks, Shun-Yu usually saves this attack as an unpredictable finisher. He got the idea of this attack by watching a children’s television program.
(Noncost efficient, this costs 15 units)
Cluster Pulse: As a mixture between Spirit Pulse and Light Pulse with a twist, it is easily his most powerful yet energy inefficient attack he currently has in his arsenal. By launching a spirit orb at his opponent at a high velocity, it explodes into several orbs upon close proximity to an opponent. While powerful close to the initial explosion, the effectiveness of this attack decreases exponentially the further it goes much like a shotgun. As it is highly inefficient, using this attack even once wears out the user and thus is only used when absolutely necessary.
(This costs 20 units and an additional 5 units during the explosion)

Grudge Pulse: A commonly found weakness of most energy based attacks is that they all are susceptible to being absorbed. Thinking that was a stupid weakness, Shun-Yu came up with a solution to that minor problem. Concentrating energy into his hand, the young vampire a rather slow moving wave of energy that homes in onto a target. While the damage it causes is miniscule at best, its properties when absorbed are what make this attack useful. When the attack enters the mana reserves or other energy reservoir of the opponent, the attack forcefully transports a large deal of energy to another plane. This effectively drains the opponent.
(Cost of this is 10 units)

Circle Trap Abilities:
Circle Trap Basics: Shun-Yu pulls in ambient spiritual energy from the air and within himself to a single point on a surface. The point will be encircled by a glowing red circle with an indicator on it. This indicator is only visible to Shun-Yu and his allies. When someone steps on the circle trap or Shun-Yu remote detonates it, the trap activates.
(All traps cost 10 units and an additional 1 units every post to maintain it. Traps last indefinitely)
Ambient Pulse: Shun-Yu creates a circle trap with a spike indicator. When activated, it glows for an instant followed swiftly by a blast of spirit energy. The crimson red blast acts like a sudden spike of energy shooting perpendicular from the surface. The blast has a concussive force meant to propel the opponent up from the ground, down from the ceiling and so on. Unlike his other attacks, this ability doesn’t use much of Shun-Yu’s energy and thus is only as effectual as the amount of spirit energy used and pulled from within the air.
 Vacuum Pulse: Much like Ambient Pulse, Shun-Yu focuses energy from around him onto a surface in his range of vision, but that’s where the similarities end. Instead of releasing all the energy in a single burst to inflict harm, this pulls the opponent towards the surface over a gradual period of time, Like every one of his attacks, the more energy he puts into it the more effective it becomes. While this can never inflict harm to an opponent, it is highly effectual at pinning an opponent down so that other, more dangerous attacks can be pulled off. While Shun-Yu can align this attack with either positive or negative attributes like any other pulse attack, it is pointless to do so as it doesn’t inflict damage. The indicator in the middle of this circle trap is a tornado.
Vector Pulse: Unlike Ambient Pulse and Vacuum Pulse, this trap doesn’t forces his opponents up or down, but rather in a direction of his choice. Indicated by a deep dark red arrow in the middle of the circle, anything entering the parameters of the area of influence is tossed aside like a rag doll. It is mainly used to force an opponent toward a trap or launch himself towards or away from said opponent.
 Shield Pulse : Having a kite shield as it’s indicator, this trap creates a pillar of light whenever someone touches the circle. Having a unique property of slowing down anything in it’s proximity, this trap causes nothing within it’s area of effect to be able to move faster then a half a mile an hour. This effectively stops most offensive. This attack lasts 3 posts when activated.
 Counter Pulse : Shun-Yu’s only circle trap that activates when something goes over it instead of being touched. Having a bent arrow as the indicator, this trap has a the ability to redirect projectiles. Teleporting in midair, the projectile appears in the same place but faces a different direction. This trap cannot effect living creatures nor can it effect ground based attacks.
 Guided Pulse: Creating a circle trap with a target for in indicator, the trap itself does nothing except forewarn opponents for the devastating attack that follows afterwards. The moment the trap is placed, a large serge of energy rushes out of the young vampire and flies straight upwards. This is when the trap goes stagnant until the opponent steps on it. When this is achieved, the surge of energy, which collects ambient spiritual energy in the air, comes crashing down onto the trap. Upon hitting the trap, the attack explodes causing a radial effect. The size of the radius is dependent on how long the attack remained inactive.
 Pulse Change: A support ability created solely for his trap attacks. By exerting a rather small amount of energy, Shun-Yu can change one trap into another. This is especially effective with Vortex Pulse and False Pulse.
 False Pulse: Much like one of his real traps, Shun-Yu places a circle of energy onto a point with an indicator on it. This “attack” however, does nothing and dissipates when stepped on. Unlike the other traps, it has several unique properties to it. For instance, Shun-Yu doesn’t need to concentrate on it to maintain it and can create several false traps as he places a real trap. It is also the only trap that doesn’t have a set indicator, causing it to appear as whatever he feels like.

Mine Traps Abilities
Mine Trap Basics: Controlling the battlefield is intuitive for a defensive combatant, so having more then one kind of trap becomes a necessity. By placing an orb in midair, this orb absorbs ambient energy and remains stationary or gradually floats in a single direction. Much like the circle traps, they have indicators on them to show what kind of trap it is to his allies.
(All traps cost 10 units and an additional 1 units every post to maintain it. Traps last indefinitely)
 Light Pulse: The original mine trap. By focusing a portion of energy on a single point, Shun-Yu can create an orb that either remains stationary or floats around slowly. When someone comes within close proximity to or touches it, it explodes in a wave of spiritual energy. While Shun-Yu must focus on the orb in order to maintain it, he can have up to ten in play at a time. Much like Dark Pulse, spiritual energy is inherently neutral unless Shun-Yu alters it’s properties. The indicator for this trap is a star.
 Scatter Pulse: This orb, having a spiked ball for an indicator, detonates when someone gets too close towards it. Much like a grenade, it sends shrapnel or “needles” to shoot out in all directions to his opponents that are to fast to hit or are invisible to the young vampire.
 Rejuvenating Pulse: Shun-Yu isn’t the kind of guy to play healer, but he has been forced into this role in combat numerous times. With a red cross as it‘s indicator, this orb releases healing energy that heals when touched. Unlike most forms of healing which is positively aligned, this technique is neutral and thus heals the undead instead of killing them though it cannot heal himself.
 Magnetic Pulse: With a plus and minus sign as it’s indicator, this attack draws forth energy towards it. Unlike other traps, this one must have an morality alignment assigned to it as it draws the opposing alignment towards it. This pull is strong enough to pull an average man into the air, though one with strong enough will can resist it’s effects.
 Shield Pulse Alpha: Much like the circle trap variant, this trap envelops his opponents in a light that acts much like molasses. Unlike the circle trap variant, this trap grows into a large sphere 10 foot in diameter. This trap also has a kite shield as its indicator. This attack lasts 3 posts when activated.
 Pulse Change Alpha: A support ability created solely for his trap attacks. By exerting a rather small amount of energy, Shun-Yu can change one trap into another. This is the same as Pulse Change, though it effects Mine Traps.
 False Pulse Alpha: Much like one of his real traps, Shun-Yu places an orb in midair.

Defensive Abilities
Shock Pulse: By forcing a large quantity of spirit energy into both of his hands and simultaneously bringing both towards each other, Shun-Yu can create a burst of energy that surrounds him. Designed to take out large groups of enemies, the attack is energy inefficient though is almost guaranteed to knock back any opponent. As it centralizes on his hands, the sphere of influence of the attack stretches out further in front of the young vampire then behind him.
(While big and flashy, this attack only costs 15 units. This is because it does relatively little damage)

Idiot's Manifesto: Shun-Yu knows that he can take much more punishment than any other combatant due to his undead nature. Focusing his soul on the soul of an ally, Shun-Yu instantly switches place with them. This short range teleport isn’t without limitations though. He his target must be a living creature with a soul and must be willing to swap in order for this technique to go off.
(Despite complexity, this only costs 15 units)

Undead Resolve : The young vampire is known in underground fighting rings as “Shun-Yu the Restless” for his outrageous ability to stand up after any attack. While lacking a natural form of regeneration, Shun-Yu can use half of his max spiritual reserves to completely heal all damage sustained. Shun-Yu accomplishes this by a highly complex and limited form of teleportation. Thanks to the law of conservation of mass, Shun-Yu’s body is technically invincible. Using this principle, the young vampire recalls his body to himself in all the correct places. This effectively heals any and all of the Jiang-Shi’s wounds. This ability was developed to help keep up with his brother’s tenacity and endurance.
(This costs 75 units regardless of how much it actually repairs.)

Weapon Abilities:
Precision strike: By using Grimfall as a medium and his ability to sense spiritual energy, Shun-Yu can supercharge his weapon that shatters objects at their weakest spots. Though it can affect any form of inanimate object, Shun-Yu has only practiced with the five Chinese elements, particularly stone. This is mainly due to Grimfall being a shovel. While this technique isn’t meant to be used on fire or water as they are free flowing and regain their form in a matter of seconds, one can use this technique to part attacks. Because Shun-Yu cannot see inanimate objects, he must have Pulse Emission active to use this attack.
(Costs 8-12 units and must be used with Grimfall)

Geo Vandalism: While Grimfall is a badass weapon on its own right, it is and always will be a shovel. Being a gardening implement, it is meant to dig. Using Pulse Emission to sense the impurities in the ground below and fusing his weapon of choice with spirit energy Shun-Yu can dig faster then any man or beast. If motivated enough, Shun-Yu can move passed ground almost as fast as he can through air.
(Must be used with Grimfall. Cost is negligible)

Drill Assault: By creating a field of energy around Grimfall, Shun-Yu causes it to swarm in a spiral pattern and pull his weapon in a single direction. Holding onto Grimfall as he does this, he propels himself towards his opponent in an attempt to drill through them. While he “could” do this without his weapon, being able to focus his energy through Grimfall makes it act as a conduit and thus more efficient.
(Costs 10 units and must be used with Grimfall)

Dark Sanctuary: By using Dark Ascension as a medium, Shun-Yu creates a ten foot square in front of his person. The square is incredibly durable in comparison towards Hallow Shell, though it is in no means indestructible. Shun-Yu can only maintain it for a few seconds and if something were to happen to Dark Ascension it would dissipate. But the technique wasn’t developed to protect against large amounts of damage or melee attack, but rather it’s interesting properties towards energy. Instead of resisting energy based attacks, it absorbs the energy and converts it into dark energy before releasing it back towards his opponents.
(Costs 15 units, though it is reduced to 5 units if it reflects an attack. Must be used with Dark Ascension)

Villainous Upper: Surrounding his tower shield in dark energy, Shun-Yu performs a jumping uppercut in which the user spins and rockets upwards with some horizontal movement as well with enough force to knock the opponent off the ground. The dark energy siphons latent magical energy to boost it’s effects and grants the user momentary resistance to magic. This attack must be used with his shield and thus is unable to use it without it drawn.
(Costs 10 units and must be used with Dark Ascension.)

Misc Abilities:
Hair Manipulation: By manipulating the latent spirit energy in his hair, Shun-Yu can control it as if it was an extra appendage. This enables him to control its movement as well as alter its length and shape at will. His hair, nine feet in length when relaxed and braided, can elongate to twice its normal length much like his limbs. While his hair isn’t prehensile, he can wrap portions of it around objects and lift them that way. Being only as durable as normal hair, he has to rely on his Hallow Shell to keep it from getting torn or cut.
(Cost is negligible.)

Annoying Presence: Pulsating a large aura around himself, all creatures intelligent enough to be aware of their own existence feels a pulsating sensation in the back of their head. While this is going off, it becomes increasingly hard to focus on other tasks and causes other forms of discomfort such as pain and vertigo. Because of this, living creatures tend to focus their attacks on the young vampire. This attack deals no real damage and all effects end when Shun-Yu stops it.
(Costs in negligible in small burst, though 5 units per post to maintain.)

Pulse Emissions: By pulsating spirit energy from his body, he can see where the energy is absorbed into (living) or moves around (inanimate) without harming anything. Interestingly, creatures holding their breath are seen as inanimate objects to Shun-Yu. While Shun-Yu has the ability to remove one of his weaknesses, it is rarely ever used. This is because it wastes energy, weakens his attacks and breaks his concentration. With his concentration broken, any traps he previously placed are destroyed. It also has the side effect of augmenting living creatures by them absorbing these energies. The only time he ever uses this ability is to use a follow up attack or when he gets lost inside a building.
(Costs in negligible in small burst, though 5 units per post to maintain.)

Afterimage: Shun-Yu can envelop himself in a spiritual aura and can create a second self by manifesting a portion of his spiritual energy in a chosen location a few moments later. The afterimage mimics exactly Shun-Yu's previous or current attack down to the exact amount of force behind it. Being physical manifestations of spirit, the clones are unable to maintain their form and dissipate no more than a second afterwards. Multiple images can be made, at of course the cost of exponentially more energy.
(A weak attack, this costs 5 units.)
Afterimage Alpha: While Afterimage creates a spiritual clone that follows Shun-Yu’s current or previous actions to a tee, this version of it doesn’t create a full copy of himself. Instead, he rapidly recreates his arms or legs while throwing a volley of punches or kicks of his own. The final effect is similar to a mob of people viciously pummeling on someone.
(Costs 10-30 units, depending of the ferocity.)
Afterimage Beta: An illusionary attack at it’s finest. Before an attack, Shun-Yu can send forth a image of what he’s going to do before he does it. The image is that of what exactly he is going to do, though being an illusion it cannot physically harm anything. While called Afterimage Beta, this attack actually creates a Preimage to confuse the young vampire’s foes. The only indication that his opponent gets that Shun-Yu is performing this attack is the red aura he gets every time he uses his spiritual attacks.
(This costs 10 units)

Primordial Chaos: Shun-Yu’s penultimate move, or that’s what he’s call it when he perfects the attack. Currently an underdevelopment move, it involves using all of his reserve energy in one concussive burst. Using both positive and negative energy, theoretically it can create a burst of pure destructive energy that devastates everything in its wake. Unfortunately, positive and negative energy often negate each other or fuse back into spiritual energy, causing most of the energy to escape, living little spiritual energy in its wake. While it does produce some energy that isn‘t the former three, it isn’t enough to cause any significant damage. Shun-Yu based this unfinished move off of the principle that a hurricane is formed using both hot and cold air.
(Being a penultimate move, it costs a grand total of 85 units even if it is a failure)

Martial Arts:
Wun Yuen Yut Hei Jeung: Translated as Primordial Chaos One Chi Palm, it is a fast pace yet defensive stance that relies solely on reflexes. Unlike most martial arts it primarily uses Fajing, or explosive power, as its main offensive. The style allows the practitioner to deliver short, fast pace blows with the power of a full swing. Much like a sprinter, it uses fast twitch muscles rather than a marathon runner which uses slow oxidative muscles. This causes the practitioner to tire rather quickly to offset it‘s phenomenal offensive capabilities. To increase the efficiency of this style, Shun-Yu tends to back up his attacks with spiritual energy for more oomph. He learned this style since he needed a faster style and a way out of grapples. It also didn’t help that he thought the name was funny.
Unorthodox Kickboxing: While he originally learned it solely to compete in a competition, he uses this style for numerous reasons. Being the most recent fighting style he‘s learned, it is also the one he uses against not as skilled fighters as well as against others to prevent them from learning his primary fighting style. He also found out that this stance complements his supernatural powers quite well. Unlike most kick boxers, he learned this style mainly by copying his brother-in-arms and thus incorporates quite a few grappling moves not found in any kickboxing school. Shun-Yu tends to incorporate strikes and grapples from this stance into his main fighting stance.
Eighteen Arms of Wushu: Shun-Yu learned how to use all eighteen main melee weapons used in Chinese Wushu despite being too lazy to study any form of Wushu itself. These weapons are saber, spear, straight sword, staff, halberd, axe, battle axe, hook sword, fork, steel whip, mace, hammer, talon, trident, lance, short cudgel, stick and meteor hammer. During his service in a war, he also learned how to properly use a bow, though he generally refuse to for reasons even he is unsure of. When using his primary weapon, he makes full use of his halberd expertise, though he incorporates some techniques from other weapons occasionally to throw off his opponents.

Weaknesses:
Hopping Vampire: Like every other vampire, Shun-Yu has a large array of pointless weaknesses. These weaknesses include, but are not limited to; sticky rice, chicken blood, eight sided mirrors, geomantic compasses, peach wood, thunder, bells, gongs, silver swords bathed in moonlight and coin swords. While he won’t be destroyed by any of them due to his age, they still act like as a powerful repellent. In addition, if a yellow paper strips with words or symbols of power written in red ink or blood is placed on his head, he will become inanimate until the talisman is removed.
One of the key characteristics of the Jiang Shi is that they hop around as their main form of mobility. This is due to their stiff bodies and a bamboo pole on their back they use for support. Unlike his mindless counterparts, Shun-Yu doesn’t have a pole on his back anymore and is as flexible if not more so then a regular human, though he still hops to travel around. While the young vampire can go very short distances walking, he generally feels more comfortable hopping then walking. This makes him look even more ridiculous than he already did, though doesn‘t inhibit his fighting unless the fight is for a prolonged period of time at which point it makes him fairly predictable.

Undead: While Shun-Yu isn’t entirely evil, his body remains animated due to the negative energies within himself. Coming into contact with positive energies cancel out the negative energies within him, causing him to receive damage instead of being healed. While positive based attacks do not cause extra damage, they instead drain the vampire an equivalent amount of his reserves. This means positive attacks can knock out the vampire at an insane rate.
Blind: While Shun-Yu has an incredible sense of hearing and can sense the ethereal energies around him, he cannot see light nor color. He cannot see simple inanimate objects and tends to trip over them, making others think he‘s a klutz. While he can sense people and other living beings almost flawlessly, he cannot see them so long as they hold their breath. This is because by holding one’s breath, they conceal their chi, making them effectively invisible not only to him but most Chinese mythological creatures.
Possessed Body: Shun-Yu shares a very interesting flaw with most computers. When overtasked, both will shut down and reboot. Reaching 0 units of his 150 total units, Shun-Yu will cease all actions and collapse to the ground. This is because the same energies that he uses in a fight are also what keep him animated. While this only last a small portion of time, this will effectively cause Shun-Yu to be removed from a fight. When he regains consciousness, he is automatically restored to full energy.
