Facebook :P

Mehhh I'm not asleep right now, but I'm missing facebook.
I'm thinking about facebook right now, and the social conflicts associated with it, as well as how technologically dependent we are.
In the school year, people never copy down homework anymore. They all go on schoolloop or just assume someone else knows it and asks some random person online on the chat thing if they know the homework. Of course, there's one big flaw: at least one person SHOULD know the homework.
Also, when people lack permission slips, material, etc., we just facebook it to him. Like this one time when nobody had the AP chemistry permission slip because our teacher is extremely disorganized - I scanned a fresh copy and everyone just somehow obtained it off of there. Did I hear one thank you? NO.
And chatting online. It simply is easier to chat online and add someone as a friend. You don't see the other person's reactions, so you're braver, and you post whatever, because it's like talking to the computer. You also have time to think about replying, so the conversation is definitely not as genuine as a real one. It can't ever replace a real face-to-face conversation. : P
And need I mention facebook "friendships"? According to multiple sources (my friends), nobody/rarely anybody gets rejected of facebook. If they even saw your face once, or you go to their high school/live around the area, they'll accept you. Actually, more than 3/4 of your friends on facebook are probably people you barely ever talked to, or even see more than once. A real friend in real life is closer and knows you a WHOLE lot more than one on facebook.
But I suppose facebook is a brilliant way to keep in touch with old friends, and friends that live far away, or even find old pals.
Peopel communicate faster than ever, share pics and messages and announce their relationships. According to my teenage friends, a relationship isn't official unless they "facebook broadcast" the whole thing by changing their relationship status. That's how it's official now. WOW.
But with its pros and cons, I'd still say Facebook is a good thing. It's so addicting, it's like a drug. It's like chocolate and when you go on, it's like a social high. :] I guess that's why we love it so much.
