Boring: Traveling
Epic: Beyond the realm of this world, there lies a separate dimension reserved only for the strongest of warriors. This dimension consists of a single building in the form of a stadium. Warriors from all over the world have lost their lives because of this place, and its very name is feared by most grown men. But the challenge doesn't await at the stadium. The only way to get to this dimension is through ten portals, each containing atrocities beyond human comprehension. Saito Aizawa, a thirty year old warrior from east Brazil, is one of the few warriors who has chosen to take up the task of traveling to the stadium, in seek of its treasures. Will he be able to put up with both the harsh conditions inside the portals, along with the trickery of the other warriors? And what awaits at the stadium? Find out on Competition! Journey of the Traveling Gladiator!

Boring: Rice farming
Not boring?:Abhu is just an ordinary rice farmer, but certain events that have created a caused a severe shortage of rice(a main staple in many countries) and forced the price of rice through the roof. As a result rice has been put on the same level as precious metals and as such Abhu now has to fight off bandits and foil schemes from corrupt officials trying to steal his land on top of tending his crops and ensuring a good harvest.

Boring: babysitting

Epic: In an effort to get more money, teenager Nakamura Toshio has agreed to take on a babysitting job. Unbeknownst to him, the child that he has just agreed to babysit is the sole heir of the local yakuza group. He finds himself having to deal with assassination attempts, the police, and other crazy antics. But, the 6-year-old child that he has agreed to watch isn't exactly normal either. In fact, she is more intelligent than Toshio himself and secretly heads all of the yakuza activities. Immensely prideful, she refuses to be placed under the care of Toshio, and sets about making his life as difficult as possible. How will he handle this situation? Can he earn the trust of the loli in his care while protecting her from danger? I don't know, because I haven't thought of an ending yet.

Boring: the usual tsundere loli stuff

EPIC: An adorable hyperactive loli ends up piloting a mecha somehow. In the early stages of puberty and emotionally confused, she quickly does what lots of ordinary people would do but which never seems to crop up in fiction: She loses all regard for morality, decency, and the value of human life. She basically becomes a batshit insane loli who is so awesome it's hilarious. At first whatever side she inadvertently helps win gives her missions to do, but after a few she is officially declared a human war crime and goes off to be a space pirate.

In one of her missions, she plunders a space colony and finds a boy she fancies. She knocks him out, kidnaps him, and makes him her official boyfriend despite his protests. None of that tsundere bullshit, though; the only reason she doesn't mount his a** then and there is because her parents never gave her "the talk" so she doesn't know about how to make sexy time. Think Haruhi in terms of genkiness and charisma meets Revy in terms of sadistic batshit insanity, all wrapped up in a striped-socks-and-pigtails loli package.

Boring: iPods

Epic: The iPod was manufactured by Apple to aid them in world domination. At the press of a switch, every iPod on Earth begins to exert a force of mind-control on anyone who has ever listened to an iPod, efectively turning about 99% of all people in first-world countries into zombies. The only ones not affected are uncool kids whose parents never bought them an iPod, really old people, and people from unwesternized countries. Such a group bands together to combat the evil Apple Corporation. However, they will have to fight against their former friends, family, and others if they wish to succeed.

Boring: Alarm Clock

Epic: It is the year 2488. Shinji finds an ancient alarm clock in the attic. He later finds out that whenever the alarm clock goes off, a person close to him dies.

At first, he hates the alarm clock thinking it is a cursed item. He later realizes that it is a blessing in disguise. The alarm clock wasn't killing people. It was trying to warn him. So that he can prevent it from happening!! Oh s**t.

The story is about his quest to save people even though people don't believe him.

Boring: Cleaning.
Epic: Meet Akiko, the newest employee at Minute Maids, a professional, contracted maid service. What started out as a simple after-school part time job quickly turns into something else as the Minute Maids prepare for the tri-annual Maid Off, an underground cleaning competition. The winner of this shady sport earns the honor of being the personal maids of the city's Yakuza leaders. Now Akiko must survive cleaning dangerous locales while avoiding the underhanded tactics of their many rivals all while maintaining her grades at high school!

Boring: Technology (well, not really, but let's give it a shot)

epic: T-kun, a c average engineering student wakes up to find himself the last intelligent human on earth. Where sky scrapers once stood, straw huts now stand, where parking garages were erected, horse pastures lay. In this new world, even T-kun's slacker knowledge is centuries ahead of its time. Will T-kun use his knowledge to become a philantropist, or a harsh ruler? And exactly what the hell happened in: SCIENCE

Boring: Entrance Exams

Epic: Ever since his parents died, (Boy) has lived with his childhood friend, (Girl). (Boy) is prone to stress, so he freaks out and tries to cram the day before the exam.
In order to get him to relax, (Girl) slowly convinces him to have sex with her. Due to this, they wake up late the next morning and they both hurry out the door to take the exam, but due to their tiredness and hastiness, they end up at the wrong place. When they are done with the exam, they learn that they just took the exam to enroll into a special military force that fights supernatural things.

Boring: ADL's
Epic: The world has become full of humans stuck in the same tedious task after the rise of a new (EVIL) corporation that invents a method of tracking humans. Every action cost a price and those unable to pay their keep at the end of the month are killed. People live in fear, sticking to only the most basic task of keeping alive. A young man comes back from a life at sea to the monotonous world. Will he change this new world and lead a revolution or will he eventually be assimilated into this society? (Obvious answer is obvious)

Boring: Sunglasses

Epic: A blind man goes to the grocery store to find the most bitchin' pair of blind-guy glasses he can find. When he puts on one pair of glasses, he discovers that he can see. The problem is, that he isn't seeing from his perspective; it's the perspective of someone, somewhere else in the world. The perspective switches every five minutes, or every time he puts them on. With the information he puts together from hundreds of "glimpses" The blind man pieces together a startling world-wide conspiracy. Also, he finds out his wife is cheating on him. What can he do to stop it? And who will believe a blind guy? Find out on: Raybanz!

Boring: robots breaking

Epic: In the far future, after mankind has vanished from the face of the Earth, all that remains are highly sophisticated, sentient androids. However, these androids are faced with many challenges now that their masters have perished, as the death of their owners spells the end of their abilities to repair themselves. As each day passes, the androids become more and more worn down, and with no new repair parts being produced, they must ration the limited supplies that they have, lest they succumb to ruin. In the slowly dying android society, the androids must cope with their own mortality, try to make the best of their remaining time, and learn to live for themselves, rather than their dead masters. However, the society is not peaceful, as some would rather attack and destroy their fellow androids to harvest spare parts rather than cooperatively live out their remaining days.

The inability of the androids to manufacture their own parts will be handwaved by saying that it is disallowed by their programming as a safety mechanism.

Boring: Yodelling

Epic: 16-year old Kentaro Kirisame is a high school dropout and gambler that has spent the last several years in a slump. His daily routine is suddenly shattered one day when a deep voiced man breaks into his home and nearly kills him with a short note that he sings. As he lays helpless on the floor, a mysterious woman appears and fends off the deep voiced man. The woman tells Kentaro that he has the potential to become the most powerful yodeller in the world, and asks him if he wants to train under her. He agrees, and begins his journey into the hostile world of underground yodelling. Will he succeed in his newfound ambition? Just who is the deep voiced man? And will they be able to topple RICOLA, the organization that rules over the yodellers?

Boring: Keys

Epic: Eric is a security guard for a large firm in [crime ridden city]. Since Eric is given a relatively peaceful post, he often passes time by trying to unlock doors during his patrols. One day he finds that one of the keys on his MASSIVE ring has the ability to open every lock he encounters; pad locks, bike locks, vault locks, lockets, combo safes, even (deus ex machina) internet passwords, but then...

boring - rediscovering a hidden family history

Epic - Ishitako Maitazawa discovers a samurai sword with a demon spirit sealed inside, belong to that of his ancestor, Gaito Yazara. He learns that his ancestor was a powerful and ruthless warlord who also was born a demon. When Ishitako learns that he is heir to a legacy of demons and blood, he relishes in it and decides to finish what his ancestor Gaito started: the total control of the world.

Kinda.. Boring: Astronauts

Epic: So the story begins with 19 year old (Japanese word for "Survive" as the name for irony) had it all, a good life as a kid, plenty of friends, and a great mind. But he always had the dream of being an astronaut. Well one day a strange man, who (Survive) could not identify granted him his wish as he somehow gave him a sheet of paper which led him to NASA, where everyone strangely accepted him, and trained him. 10 years later, he is found with his first mission. Repair a satellite up in Earth's orbit, and then go to the Space station for further briefing. As he finishes saying his goodbyes, and does his first solo mission, he goes to the space station only to find no communication with earth, as he desperately finds his way back to earth, 3 years have passed, and when he finally gets back, he finds the suprise of a global conspiracy, having wiped out the earth of 95-97% of the Earth's population. Now (Survive) has brought it upon himself to find his way through this twisted world, find out who did this, and.. to SURVIVE.

Boring: reading manga/watching anime

Epic: Touma Ishibashi is an avid otaku who one day finds out that he has the power to transport himself into any media and experience it as though it was IRL. but what ever happens in there affects his real body. when he gets trapped in the internet, chaos ensues as he is identified as a virus. he finds sanctuary on the computer of the girl he likes pretending to be an advanced desktop pet complete with AI. can he find away out while winning the heart of the girl he loves? or will he be deleted and lost forever....


boring - shop owner

epic - the owner of a ramen shop that frequents the most powerful men in the world. think of cromartie but with world leaders, corporate leaders, and the like who all go to this ramen shop. the shop owner, with his wisdom and sound advice, basically controls the world by influencing all of these powerful leaders

Boring: Infomercials

EPIC: After 20 years of conning people, Willy Mayson decides to go straight and put his skills to use in sales pitching. Things go incredibly slow, and Willy cannot hold a decent job for more than a month. That is until he is abducted by a UFO in his sleep. He makes contact with an alien race willing to give him a much better life than he ever had on Earth on a distant planet terraformed specifically to be a paradise for humans. However, to do this, he must successfully pitch and sell their products to other alien civilizations across the galaxy. This is much harder as it seems, as the products are some of the most useless and unreliable pieces of junk Willy has ever seen. Not only that, but he must sell specific products to races that have no interest in them; such as selling a planet destroying superweapon to a peaceful, diplomatic culture. If he doesn't meet the quota, all of the humans on Earth will be sold as sex slaves to the Yahoo Intergalatic Furry Federation or Y.I.F.F.
