Hey, Been quite a while since i put anything in this journal.
but here i am, ready to add some content ^_^.
I got a job, finally, i get minimum wage, & it's only part time, but i get 50% off pizza!
yeah, imma' pizza boy, but hey, it's better than not having a job at all.
Anyway, i was thinking of trying to get back into doing some writing, havent written any new stories or poetry in quite a while... so i thought i would just try & make something up off the top of my head & run with it!
Well, Here Goes!!!
The cold, medical-white lab sat almost silent, in the next room sat a man & a woman. The man, sitting in a large metal examination chair, tied into all kinds of medical sensors & monitoring apparatus. The woman, sitting in a cushioned chair, behind a desk, carefully watching & recording data from all manner of data screens & read-outs.
The man shifts his weight uncomfortably.
"So... how is the Dog?"
"Quiet please! & sit back, you are throwing off the readings..."
The woman looked up from the monitors briefly & made eye contact with the man.
"Rocky is doing well, try not to talk please Josh, it throws off the equipment"
She looks back down again, just in time to see the readings spike as the man responds,
"Good, good... he gained any weight?"
The woman rolls her eyes.
"Shhh, please Josh"
*Awkward silence*
*the monitors on the desk beep, then go silent again*
"Is it done yet?"
"that test is, yes, but we have more to do before we quit for the night... Anything you want to say BEFORE is start up the test?"
The woman, with a look of both affection, humor & irritation on her face asked.
"Not really... this chair isn't too comfortable though..."
The woman smiles, then looks back to her monitors & begins typing in the commands for the next tests.
"Okay, i'm sorry about the chair, but we need to keep going. just sit back & try to relax... & stay quiet"
"Yes Ma'am" the man said with a sarcastically apologetic tone.
"Okay, lets begi-"
"Oh, THATS what this chair reminds me of!"
"What?!" the woman looked up in surprise & confusion.
"Sorry love, it's just that i felt like this chair was familiar. I just remembered that you had a big swiveling chair kinda' like this in you little office, back at the Medical Arts Plaza, Remember?"
"...Yes, i suppose i do remember the chair, you used to come into my office & take my chair while i was out of the room. you would sit there & spin like a child until i came back & pulled you out of it! you always were a goof!"
She smiled as she spoke, looking up, as if trying to remember.
"... thats not ALL I did in that chair, if you remember... once or twice you joined me in the chair...
The man laughed loudly
"We made a right mess of that poor chair! you had to throw it out before you moved out of that office!"
He laughed again, looking sheepishly at the woman.
"Yes, yes we had 'Fun' in that chair, but sorry to say there is no time for that kind of fun now, we HAVE to finish these tests"
The woman finished typing on the computers & sat back in her chair. looking at the man, her husband, from behind her desk.
"Here we go. Sit back, stay still, be quiet & we can get these tests done"
"... hey, Laura... I love you, you know. I'm sorry about all this... if, well, you know... I just hope that you understand that i-"
The woman quickly cut him off, looking a bit sad, & a bit angry.
"Quiet Josh! No need to talk like that! we are gonna get this whole mess figured out... you don't have to worry, we will fix it."
The man looked away, a hint of fear in his eyes.
Then the woman whispered,
"I love you to josh..."

Okay, that was a start. tell me what ya' think! I want to hear some Comments people!!!
Just as a few notes, I used Laura & I, only for the sake of not having to think up any other names just yet. I don't plan on keeping the names as a final set.
Don't quite know where to go with this story, give me some ideas!
