The partly true, partly fictional, mostly un-biased jounal, of Isabelle A. Vivaldi
The tragedies, joys and comedies of Isabelle's (and her family's) life.
Sorry! I haven't been able to go on the internet for a while because my dad's modem broke on his computer (a modem is a piece of computer equipment that allows all the computers in a system to go on the internet). You will never believe what happened after my last journal entry! I ate my dinner and watched TV for a while and then went to bed at 12:30. Juliet wasn't home yet, but I wasn't surprised. Normally she doesn't come back from parties until 4-5 in the morning, but still, I knew that she would be in deep trouble. My parents have a strict policy against going places without telling anyone. Apparently, when my mom was Juliet's age, she went on a cross-country drive with her friends without telling anyone. When she disappeared, paranoid Grandma got the FBI on her trail, thinking she had been kidnapped or murdered. Of course, when my mother came back, the FBI weren't very happy with my Grandma, and to say Grandma was out-of-her-mind angry with my mom would be an understatement. Anyway, I went to sleep with this all in mind, and was rudely woken up at 7 o'clock by the sound of raised voices. I ran from my room and peered over the stairwell. Juliet had just come in the door, and the generous make up always applied to her face was smeared. Mom was standing in front of her with her back to me but I could tell she was angry by the way she stood--ram-rod straight, almost quivering with fury.
"Where were you? You had me and your dad worried sick! Do you know how it makes me feel to think you disregard my rules like they were nothing?" My mom's voice was dangerously quiet.
"GOD MOM," Juliet was yelling already. "I WAS JUST IN SAN DIEGO! HANNAH SAID THERE WAS GONNA BE A HUGE PARTY AND I HAD TO GO RIGHT THEN OTHERWISE I WOULD HAVE BEEN LATE! YOU KNOW MY PHONE WAS IN MY ROOM, SO I COULDN'T HAVE CALLED YOU!!!"
"Do not raise you voice like that to me!" Mom said "You know I don't like you to be around that girl Hannah and her friends! This is the last time you will do this to me. I am sorry, but you must be punished. Juliet Vivaldi, you will not go to another party until you are a more responsible person."
A choked sob tore its way from Juliet's throat and she ran up the stairs slamming her high heels down on the wood. Half way up the stairs she stopped to scream:
"YOU ARE RUINING MY LIFE!! I HATE YOU!!" She stumbled into her room, slamming the door so hard I heard the chandelier shake. To tell the truth, I though it was a little funny, but I still felt sorry for Juliet. Will she ever learn to think about the consequences of her actions?

--Isabelle
