It sorta feels like lately my life has turned upside down again. Lots going on.My second child will be born next month and my son is growing so much so fast... I'm so proud of him. He's walking now and gaining more balance and speed as the days go by. He rarely crawls anymore smile
His personality is really starting to develop; the other day I was upset and he clung onto my leg like a koala bear and started blowing raspberries on it. His excitement and laughter (not to mention the sounds) got me in a laughing fit and then the more I laughed the harder he laughed. It was a great mommy moment.
Also lately since his brother or sister will be arriving next month (on the 22nd unless s/he determines otherwise) I've been pointing to my belly and saying "baby" lots. I've been doing this since he was about 10 months old. For him and his dad I say "belly." Lately it seems like he's understanding. He pointed to it the other day and said clearly "baby" although after that he seemed content to shorten it to babe. It was awesome seeing him get excited. He's also been trying to kiss my belly as well lately. I wonder how he'll react when he actually gets to see his baby brother or sister. I'm happy he'll have a sibling close in age to play with and socialize with.
Things have been relatively easy with him this far. I do worry that the next one might not be as easy going or about how hard it will be with two munchkins running around. More than the worry of how things will be there is a lot of wonder... wonder about the gender (ultrasound was inconclusive), about the personality the next one will have, what interests will grow with our kids. My husband and I are very lucky and excited about what the future holds for our family even though times can be rough.
