Over the next year nekal finally brought his realm back into control, not bothering, not caring about me in the slightest. The first week was nothing but chaos as those loyal to Nekal rose, and the other half, bitter about Maer, shrank back. Nekal would have none of it. He told those still loyal to the dead councilor to either flee, rejoin Nekals horde, or be prepare to die.
Simply put, a year passed and over half of Maers followers were dead, the rest had rejoined nekal, or had fled to othe rplanes than these. Nekal then went about sending his messenger demons to the planes below him, and a few above him, letting them know he had returned and he was ready to talk about the tyreaties that had expired in his absence.
All the demonic lords came, one by one, and talked with nekal, and made deals, The first couple levels, too weak to be any threat to nekal, were over quick. levels five and six, were long, and both wanted much from one another. In the end, Nekal had to swear allegiance and help them with any battles they may face, and Nekal would get some of their horde to call his own.
The demonic lord of the ninth plane ignored him, but Nekals rival, the one demonic lord Nekal despised, yet loved like a brother, was Cryshal-Tirith, the dog demon of the eigth level. He was a true agent of chaos if there ever was one. He was a scientist at heart. He pledged his loyalty too Nekal under two conditions. one, whenever I had control, Cryshal was allowed to cause me and the body I inhabited as much chaos as he wanted, and that Nekal help him in an expirement he wanted to loose upon earth.
"The Sai" he called them, Forever there had been werewolves, and Vampires upon the world. They were always hated enemies, but what if there was a union? What if a werewolf and a vampire combined into one? The natural bloodlust from both species, the animalistic fury of the werewolf, with the cunning of a vampire? Natural instincts of the werewolf, with powers of the mind, of the vampire? Both having there own changes of form!
Nekal loved the idea of such a creation, and soon the two would go to work. For the scientist, Cryshal and the imaginative nekal the work was done quickly. The product of there creation would always know what they were, and who created them, they could never take a human form. Always looking like a half transformed werewolf, with almost bat like features. Always hungry, though there only reprieve was they did not thirts for human blood exclusively.
The two demons made several dozen and loosed them upon earth, the prime material plane. Those creatures have caused nothing but trouble since. Throughout my own life I have encounted several, even helped a dojo of friends fend off an attack of hundreds. There arent many these days, the werewolves and vampires have actually begun treaties to work together to make sure these abominations no longer walk the earth.
