Vampire Diaries Season 2 episode 8....

*Warning if you haven't seen Vampire Diaries season 2 episode 8 then don't read this!*

From now on I am going to do a recap of every episode of Vampire Diaries from Season 2 episode 8.

Elena is abducted by a man who is compelled by Trevor, a 500 year old vampire. Jeremy confronts Stefan and says I'm glad you and Elena are back together, but you got to let us know when she sleeps at your place. Stefan tells him that Elena did not sleep over and that they are not back together. Jeremy tells him that Mrs Lockwood said her car is still in the driveway and Jeremy says that her bed had not been slept in. Stefan and Damon unite to save Elena. Bonnie is doing a spell to give Elena a message. She tries to hard and is unconscious which freaks Jeremy out. Meanwhile Elena is at an abandoned house, with Rose and Trevor, best friends and over 500 year old vampires. Elena asks Rose "what am I doing here?" and "what do you want with me?" Rose tells Elena to be quiet but Elena continues talking. Rose slaps Elena so hard she passes out. Elena wakes up and finds Trevor and Rose talking about someone called Elijah, an "original vampire" ( an original is the first generation of vampires). Elena asks Rose again "What do you want with me?" Rose admits that she wants nothing of Elena, but she is just a delivery service. Elena asks to who? Elijah? Rose laughs and says two points for the eavesdropper. She tells Elena that she is the doppleganger and she is the key to breaking the curse Elena replies "No, the moonstone breaks the curse" Rose says "No, the moonstone binds the curse, the sacrifice of the blood of the doppleganger breaks the curse". Suddenly there is a knock on the door who is Elijah, Rose and Trevor are frightened, because he wants them both dead. Why he wants them dead is because in 1492, when Katerina was human and she was also the doppleganger, Trevor was in love with her, and told her to go to a cottage, where she finds Rose and an unnamed woman. Rose is shocked to so Katerina, so she lets her in. She puts her in a dungeon and says she will return you to Klaus and beg them both mercy. Katerina stabs herself with a knife and calls Rose. Rose asks "How did you do that" and Katerina replies "I fell over in the woods" Rose gives her some blood to make it heal, but Rose has been tricked and Katerina hangs herself, in order to become a vampire. Katerina is no longer needed because they need a human doppleganger not a vampire doppleganger. Damon and Stefan save the day and stake Elijah, but he is not dead. Meanwhile Caroline is with Tyler, trying to make his wolf transformation easier.


QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS!!!!!!


Question: Why did Katherine run away from Klaus?

Answer: Klaus is the oldest and most powerful 'original'. He needs a doppleganger (which Katherine was) to break the curse of the moonstone which will enable vampires to walk in the sun. Klaus was after her to drain every drop of blood and serve it as sacrifice.

Question: How did Katherine use Rose and Trevor?

Answer:Rose provided Katherine with her blood. In turn, she killed herself so that she becomes a vampire and useless to Klaus. Helping Katherine in this way, made Rose a direct enemy of Klaus. He would kill her for such an act.
And for Trevor- he helped Katherine escape Klaus's guard because he was in love with her. He was disloyal to Klaus as his guard.
In turn, Katherine ran away and put them both in danger. They had to hide and run for 500 years to be away from Klaus.


Question: Why did Klaus want to break the curse?

Answer: If a vampire breaks moonstone curse- Vampires will be able to walk in the sun and the curse on the werewolves will still remain. And vice-versa. So Klaus wants all vampires to walk in the sun while the werewolves are still controlled by the moon.

Question: What happened to Katherine's child?

Answer: The child taken by Katerine Petrova's father and given away or killed. Most likely given away, because that will explain Elena's and Katherine's resemblance. Katherine is Elena's ancestor.

Question: Why did Katherine want the moonstone, so she could give it to Klaus?

Answer: She ran away from him by becoming a vampire. He became really angry and to take revenge he'd find her one day and Katherine is well-aware of that. Hence, to escape death she has planned to assist Klaus (without him seeking) by handing to him- the moonstone, Elena (the doppleganger), Bonnie(the witch), Tyler(the werewolf) so that the curse can be broken and Klaus is pleased with her.

Question: Does Klaus need the moonstone at all when all he needs to do is kill a doppleganer, vampire, witch and a werewolf?

Answer: Yes, because all their blood has to be sacrificed on the moonstone. That completes the ritual and breaks the curse.

Question: Is Katherine a doppleganger?

Answer: Yes she is- but a vampire doppleganger which is of no use, Hence, everyone is behind Elena who is the only human doppleganger and the last Petrova left.
