Can you ever forget?
Can you really forgive?
Even after all of this,
When it's still hard to live?
I can't just stand by,
Knowing that still in your mind,
Lies the memory,
Of when we nearly died.
Even if I beg,
Even if I apologize,
I can still see,
Pain in your eyes.
You don't want to remember,
And neither do I.
But the thought keeps replaying-
I keep watching you die.
Can you really forgive?
Even after all of this,
When it's still hard to live?
I can't just stand by,
Knowing that still in your mind,
Lies the memory,
Of when we nearly died.
Even if I beg,
Even if I apologize,
I can still see,
Pain in your eyes.
You don't want to remember,
And neither do I.
But the thought keeps replaying-
I keep watching you die.
