Chapter Four: A Picture in a Frame--Repenting Assassin

"Daddy said that it's my fault that she is dead...", the little girl in the black dress said. Her eyes were a little red and puffy from crying. She sat in a corner with her siblings in the mournful church. In the corner, Tera appeared invisible to the people sitting down. The vision right before her eyes seemed slightly blurry, but she managed to see though. Curiously, she looked around. Instantly, she realized she was at her mother's funeral.
"Ec...ec drec naym?", she asked herself under her breath as a distant look came over her face.
{Translation: Is...is this real?}
Still with the same look on her face, she fell down onto her knees and continued looking upon the scene of her younger self and her siblings.
Young Tera's eyes were filling up with tears again. Her face looked blank as sher starred at her mother's dead body lie in peace.
"It was never your fault. Everything that comes from his mouth is a lie.", Lucia said while holding the sleeping baby Karin.
"Figures..", Joanchin said coldly. He then lifted up his head and looked over at Young Tera with a sparkle in his jade colored eyes," Sometimes I even wonder why we call him father. I see no type of relation."
" Fa'na haqd..."
{Translation: We're next...}
Everyone's eyes had shifted towards Raven.
"What...?", Lucia asked.
"I said....we're next and you know it...don't act surprised like you didn't know."
Joanchin looked at his brother and his little sister Tera for a moment.
"Raven...", Young Tera said his name before she let her tears out once more.
"Don't let false guilt get to you. It's going to be alright...I promise...", Joanchin finally let out tears.
Tera looked at her former self once more and slowly walked over to her mother's dead body.
"Sudran...", she whispered quietly drawing closer to her mother's body, "oui--oui muug cu....baylavim...druikr...E cdemm fuhtan ev ed fyc so vyimd....E teth'd sayh du tu ed....oui cylnevelat ouin ufh meva....zicd du cyja --- sa...yht E teth'd tacanja ed...E hajan tacanjat du meja."
{Translation: you--you look so....peaceful...though...I still wonder if it was my fault....I didn't mean to do it....you sacrificed your own life....just to save --- me...and I didn't deserve it...I never deserved to live.}
Tears slowly began to tun down her rosey cheeks.
Then her surrounding seemed to darken. Darkness had swallowed everything. All that was left was her mother's dead body and herself.

"It should take only but a few seconds to work...I'm sure of it.", said the firm voice of Revan Maxwell as he doctored on Tera.
"You sure that health cure wasn't too strong on her?", Darkker asked.
So suddenly, Capoiera's eyes opened up widely. Though, her eyes were still looking dull, she could clearly and plainly see Revan's face. Their eyes met a short moment. His wandering eyes staring at her brown eyes.
Beautiful..., Maxwell thought to himself.
He saved me....?, Tera thought to herself as the feeling of heavy eyelids came over her. And once more, she was once again asleep.
"I told you it would work.", Revan said sort of proudly.
"If we didn't give her the medicine any sooner, then she would have been a goner, eh?", Darkker commented.
That was the last thing she heard before going back into her deep slumber.
***
Tera was once again standing in what seemed to be her sweet nightmare. Curiously, she walked around in darkness. Though, nothing out of the ordinary had happend to her. She then suddenly came to a stop in her tracks.
Another memory?, she asked herself. The question seemed meaningless to ask when she saw the five of them all sitting in the dining quarters.
I remember this....
Lucia was sitting there like a etiquette young lady, fiddling her thumbs and staring at the antique grandfather clock in the process.
"Why are we even waiting?", Tera asked.
"Be patient. If we're lucky, then won't come.", Joanchin said playfully, trying to lighten up everyone's mood. Though, he seemed nervous himself. He kept staring out of the window at the snowy scene. Usually he would close his eyes and think when there was anytime he had to himself.
Raven, on the other hand, had been rather quiet. He hadn't said one word. His eyes seemed distant as he held his baby sister in his arms. It seemed as if he had a big change inside of him after their mother's funeral. He seemed more....what?
Distant...?
Though, it wasn't too long until all attention was focused upon their so called, "Father", Ky Hyuga.
He walked straight through the older version of Tera and into the dining hall. All eyes of his children moved over upon him as he cleared his throat.
"My children...", he said as he starred them all down. They just seemed to look at him blankly as he stood there. Finally after a moment of silence from his enterance, he began, "My children...you're old enough to know this now....and I would like for you to meet someone who is very important to me right now."
No one cracked a smile. The five children just sat there strarring as if they wanted him to hurry...in which that's exactly what they wanted. He cleared his throat once again for no apparent reason and began again, "I would like for you to meet Sophia Hyuga."
He turned towards the door, as a young woman walked in. She looked as if she was in her later twenties. The woman smiled at the five like it was nobody's business.
"It's....nice to meet you all. You've grown since I last saw you.", she said as she looked around the table. Tera looked at her with her wide little eyes.
Joanchin spoke up, "Is that all you wanted? Or is there something else you've been hiding from us?"
At that small comment, Ky shot Joanchin a sharp look with his matching jade eyes, but he managed to play it off with another fake smile.
"As a matter of fact...I do.", he said as he turned to the door again.
To Tera's surprise, five nicely dressed children walked in. It wasn't just Tera who gave Ky a look of shock. All the others did too...along with anger and disappointment.
"I want you to meet your long lost brothers and sisters.", He said happily.
It was quiet once again for a brief second.
"The two boys over there are named Rupert and Samuel..", he pointed them out.
"And the three girls are your sisters....the eldest sister is named Heather. And your next one is Natelie and last is the last one is the angel of my life."
Karin's jaws dropped. She was a baby, but she wasn't dumb.
"Her name is Heidi."
The three girls smiled over at Tera and her two sisters.
Sophia stepped up and said, "We're your family now...."
"This is what you've kept from us all these years?!", Raven shouted at Ky, startiling everyone else.
"Well...you children are only half as important as my children behind me.....I didn't expect you to know or understand.", Ky answered.
"You never cared....you b*****d.", Lucia said coldly.
"Watch your mouth young lady!", Sophia shouted.
The arguement had went back and forth between her family. Everything at that moment seemed to make her think as this whole scene went on. Little Tera's brown eyes just continued starring and starring until they became dull of their color. Joanchin had gotten up and got Ky by his neck and that caused a bit of touble because everyone was about to fight when Raven jumped into it.
Finally, she couldn't take it anymore,"STOP IT! I WANT MY LIFE BACK! I WANT THIS ALL TO STOP! JUST LEAVE US ALONE! YOU KILLED MOTHER! YOU'RE NOT OUR FATHER! YOU NEVER WILL BE!"
And that was once again the end of that nightmare. The scene began to disappear like the other one did. Tera was once again surround by darkness. The only other thing that she had with her was that picture in that frame. She was reaching down to pick it up, but she was waking up instead.
***
Tera's brown eyes came open just to see Maxwell and his party.
"Finally awoke?", Darkker asked playfully. Though, she wasn't in a playful mood. She just seemed to smile sarcastically.
"Now that's no way to welcome our guest Darkker.", Kere said. Her eyes became wide as she looked over at the bird. She blinked twice to make sure she was actually looking at the large black raven. And yes, he was actually talking. Though, it wasn't like she hadn't seen a creature talk before, so she just took it normally.
"Are...are..you...ok?", a cracked voice came from the man in the trench. He seemed nervous as their eyes met. Tera ignored them all and stood up weakly and started walking out.
"Where are you going?", Darkker asked. But no answer.
"Mayjehk cu cuuh? Pid ed'c zicd dra cdynd uv dra pacd pyt drehk.", came a familiar voice from the darkness.
{Translation:Leaving so soon? But it's just the start of the best bad thing.}
Revan and Darkker calmly walked outside, standing at the assassin's side.
"Tet oui ahzuo ouin hekrdsynac? Huf oui ghuf fryd ed vaamc mega du nameja dras....tuh'd oui?", they said as they jumped down. And once again it was the imfamous Reiko Sakura.
{Translation: Did you enjoy your nightmares? Now you know what it feels like to relive them....don't you?}
"Is that what the poison did? If you ask me...it was pointless and worthless...so give up the childish games.", Tera said.
Reiko smirked and once again pulled out her weapon ever so childishly.
" Ev fa pyddma, E fuh'd mad tufh so kiynt drec desa...yht drec desa, E fyhd hu dnelgc...E fyhd drec du pa lmayh. keja ed ymm oui kud..", Tera said calmly.
{Translation: If we battle, I won't let down my guard this time...and this time, I want no tricks...I want this to be clean. Give it all you got..}
Darkker turned to Maxwell and looked at him in confusion.
"What'd she say?", he asked.
"It's German.", he answered him, not taking his eyes off of Tera.
"This should be interesting...", Kere said as he landed on his master's shoulder.
"Draw your sword..", Reiko commanded. And without complaint or hesitation, she did so.
"Well you attack first..", she said.
And it was at those words that it had began. Reiko had darted towards Tera, as everything around them seemed to slow down. Tera shook her head in disgust.
"You're doing it again...", she said calmly. Before anyone could, Sakura was lying on the ground.
Tera turned around and stepped on Reiko's body. She stood there for a good while, looking at Revan and Darkker.
"Well....where to next?", she asked.
"Excuse me?", Revan asked along with a little excitment.
"Where are we going next?", she said followed by a smile.
"We were planning to head towards...Wales next.", Darkker answered.
Tera smiled for the first time in a long time and started walking North of the road. Kere was the type for adventure, so he flapped his way after Tera without a word. The two men looked at each other and shrugged, then Tera turned around and looked at them,"Well...what're you waiting for?"
The sun seemed to be rising as Tera had turned towards them. Her eyes were a brilliant brown and she was looking beautiful. Revan smiled and ran towards her.
"Wait up!", Darkker said as he ran too.
Things seemed different with Tera. The old her was coming back and maybe things would get better. This was definately the beginning of a new journey.
