Uh.. *reads back on the last entry*

Oh yus~ my laptop~ 3nodding they were okie~ we got ourselves a case and an outlet that went with it so charge its battery. They are nice~ domokun

A good number of my teachers tried to use the laptops to make them apart of thier lessons, but i don't blame too many of them for putting a stop to that. >__o; not everybody is going to use the laptop solely for work and no play. from what i've seen, most people just use the laptops to primarily just surf and look for thier own things. and completely ignore the teacher and thier lesson.

When the seniors got thier laptops, there were rumors already that admins were confiscating laptops.. that had INSTANT MESSENGERS installed on them. o__o; i can understand why the admins would be against using them.. but.. um.. >__>; you can't really stop EVERYONE from using them.

the only messenger i wish they would make illegal to have is Skype. i have no idea what skype is, and i never heard of it at all. o__o;;; not until everybody got thier laptops. Yeesh. >__>;; They're programmed to make a loud ring tone when you IM somebody from what i've seen. numerous times my chemistry class gets interrupted because the people in the back decide to IM (or "call" wink thier own classmates over and over.

bleh. and then there's the media. gonk


There is only 2 schools doing this laptop crap. and out of the 2, newspapers, and newspeople are focusing on MY school. *got called by people from a newspaper to comment on the recent robberies folr the laptops for thier newspaper gonk * lately, there have been robberies for the laptops and its been causing a lot of atention. o__o;; 3 freshmen got robbed at gunpoint for thier laptops at one time. There's $2,000 rewards for catching to guys who've been robbing people nearby the school for them. Hell, even students around the school have been stealing laptops from eachother. gonk

The principle told everybody who walked to and from school to keep them at home now (that includes me). Ignoring the fact we can't use them at home. They're made to be online only on school campus. sweatdrop

I don't really understand hy people outside the school even want to steal them. o__o;; They can't use them. you need a student id number and thier password to log into one. you can't pawn them. Pawn shops and places all over already know what they look like and won't accpet them. They can sell them off to others all they want. o__o;; i just don't see where they'll find somebody willing to buy some unknown laptop for a price around $1500 . assuming they know its worth around that much. domokun

Really, it doesn't look too good for the laptops even coming back next year. but hopefully it'll get better for them. sweatdrop the school had a lot of good ideas, too. ~~;; making the morning announcements online on the school's website instead of over the PA. somehow creating a system where we could emailing out work instead of using pencil and paper.
