We managed to find some clothing on our Supply Duty. Sure, it was extra extra large, purple with a tacky cat on it, but they were clothes. Most other stuff at the place was long gone. We really need to find a new place to look for supplies. The store was empty of people and infected, as usual. But, when we were leaving, I heard a noise next to me. I turned quickly, pulling out my gun at the same time. When I didn't see anything, I slowly took a step forward. That's when I saw the man. He was young, maybe my age, and had brown hair and hazel eyes. "Hey," He said with a grin. Okay, so, he wasn't Rabid. Rabid's usually don't spend too much time talking to you. They especially don't greet you...or smile. And since he was alive, he clearly wasn't infected. I had to be sure, though, that he wouldn't become an infected. "You been bit?" I asked, aiming my gun directly at his head. You can never be too safe. "No, I haven't. Nothing's come in here for weeks." I nodded, putting the gun back in it's holster. "Okay. You're coming with us." "Who's us?" Blake came up behind me. "Who is this, Vi?" He asked. "A survivor." I said simply, "He's coming with us." "What's your survivor's name?" "I don't know. Quite honestly, i don't care, either." "I'm Cael." The man said suddenly, getting to his feet, "can I ask where it is that you're taking me exactly?" "Gamma." I answered, "It's somewhere safe. Trust me."
He came with Blake and I back to Gamma. Half-way back, I saw a woman on the side of the path. I motioned for Cael and Blake to stop, and walked towards her. "Excuse me...miss?" She turned around, eyes wide with fear, a gun in her hand. Blood was splattered on her pale face. I took a step back, she was Rabid....and she was dangerous. "Blake..." I said softly, "A little help here?" I turned and saw Blake frozen in place. I was on my own. I took my gun out. Usually, I don't like killing Rabid's with my gun, but usually, I have backup with them. This time, I was on my own. I shot her point blank in the forehead. Just as I pulled the trigger, she pulled the trigger on her gun. I thought she missed me, so I turned on Blake, pointing the gun at his chest. "What is wrong with you?!" I screamed. He didn't reply, but pointed to my side. I looked down, and saw the blood pooling staining my shirt, and slowly tickling down to the sandy ground. "Well...what do ya know...she didn't miss." I said before i collapsed.
When I woke up, Jessamine was looming over me. When she saw my eyes open, a look of relief spead across her face. "You're okay." She said with a sigh, "I'd better have someone go contact Mr. Majors." "Why does someone need to contact Axton?" I asked. "You should have seen him, Vivienne...he was furious that you got hurt." I rolled my eyes. Axton knew I could take care of myself. He knew that a bullet wouldn't hurt me. "Can I just go see him myself?" "No, Vi....you can't. You need to rest down here for a few days, okay?" I hate hospitals, but my sister is a doctor. She may hate my guts, but she's the doctor and I have to listen. So, I'm stuck down in the hospital for a while to 'rest'. Let's at least hope I have some entertainment while I'm stuck down here. -Vi
