70th Annual Hunger Games

Day 1)Bloodbath - Arlen {District 1}

I eyed the Cornucopia and its 23 blood thirsty customers. Every weapon or supply taking shelter under the silver roof of the Cornucopia was put there to draw in its best user after the Game makers witnessed our use of favored weapons. I took a quick glance at my alliances being the tributes from 2 and my District partner. The boy from 2, Castiel smiled with anticipation. He couldn't wait to get his hands on a blade, and thrust his oppon- -BOOOOooooOOOOMM!- - The idiot girl from District 5 slipped off her plate trying to reposition herself. I couldn't blame her. 60 seconds, sitting on a slippery, black metal plate eying other tributes and steaming with fear wasn't easy. She would just be one less for me. Besides, I don't kill girls. The booming of the numbers slowly found its way to -10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1,- -ZIIIIIIiiiiiiiiinnnNNNGGG- - The Gong hummed loud enough for anyone to hear a mile away. My career pack and I raced our way to the mouth of the Cornucopia. I picked up an axe along the way. The boy from 3 had his head dug in a bag, searching for supplies. I sped past him, leaving my axe in his chest and grouped up with my alliance. We each picked up a weapon and began our assault. Shimmer gathered us some supplies from the dead center of the Cornucopia. I kept my eye on her making sure no one could enter an inch passed the mouth of the Cornucopia. Castiel was cracking up, the blood-thirsty lunatic he was.. The girl from 6 ran up to me with a small knife she probably found in a pack. She attempted to stab me, but Castiel's District partner, Kayla reflected her attack with her bludgeon, sending the small blade of the knife into the soil. Kayla pinned her to the ground and smashed the back of the girl from 6's skull using the same weapon. She lay dead with her District partner.

Day 1)Bloodbath - Shimmer {District 1}


They sent me to do the boring job.. My alliance with the other careers defended the mouth of the Cornucopia, while I tried to fit everything useful I could find into 4 separate packs. I picked up a small leather vest full of 10 throwing knives and a canteen full of water and stuffed it into my bag. I wasn't really the best with throwing knives, but they where extremely fun to use, as awful as that sounds. I slung all the quivers and bows I could find over my back and began to grow impatient like a young child. Without warning, I knocked 2 arrows -[something that's not very easy to do]- on the thin cord of my bow, and aimed for the girl from 11. What? She gave me a dirty look during training. The first arrow buried itself into her Achilles, pushing her the ground followed by the second one who found itself resting in her left eye socket. Castiel couldn't get a hold of himself... He found it funny, spearing young kids in their guts for fun.. the boy from 6, who appeared as young as 13-year-old met the shaft of Castiel's spear. It disturbed me how cruel Castiel could be. In the training, he appeared much more calm.. Though.. the hard clay dummies could disagree with that.. I strained my mind to clear itself, focusing on one thing: Watch my flanks and pack more bags!

Day 1)Bloodbath - Megan {District 6}

After the gong, I raced for the nearest supply bag and looted what ever weapon I could find. I was trying to Distract as many people as I could from touching my District partner Robbie. He was only 13. I would have rather had him win these stupid games than myself. I pulled out a 6 inch knife and slashed the face of the District 8 boy who got a little to close. I realized I had done something to the bone in his nose, which was leaning in an unnatural direction. His breathing stopped, because of me. I felt the horrible adrenaline rush of killing. It drove me crazy. I had told Robbie to loot as much as he could closest to the Cornucopia. I promised I would protect him no matter what. I ran in to the left wall of the Cornucopia and joined Robbie. The careers had already met up and began their kill-streak. Robbie and I charged in for what ever supplies we could gather. I went after the boy from 1. He had his back turned and was busy over-watching his District partner, so I went in for a kill. I kept Robbie nearby. He found a small light-weight suitcase and picked it up hoping to find something good. He began unlocking the case, but no! I had told him specifically! Do not open anything until we flee the Cornucopia! I was too late. The boy from 2 planted his spear at least 5 inches deep into Robbie's small, scrawny body. A tear ran down my left cheek. I was over raged and thirsty to kill. I suddenly found myself charging the boy from 1. One of his career allies deflected my knife straight into the blanket of grass which covered the large plain the Cornucopia lay in. She pinned me to the floor and swung for my head. - -BOOooOOM- -. My cannon. The void clouded my vision. It put me to sleep.. for the last time.

Day 1)Bloodbath - Ajax {District 4}

The Game makers where probably incredibly pleased with me. Not to far from my Plate lay a box with a weighted net, a trident resting above. After the Gong, I did the unimaginable thing. The typical thing that just about every tribute did in every single game. I charged. I scanned the crowd, making sure I was the only one headed for 'my' items. And as you guessed... Yeah... I had a competitor. He was the young boy from 9. Kent? Something like that.. We managed to pick 'my' trident up at the same time. His mistake was when he picked the bladed part of the trident. So young, so naive.. He appeared frightened... I mean who wouldn't be? I did feel bad for him though. He was pushed around during training by the older tributes.. He was trying hard to prove himself.. I twisted the trident, the blade cutting his small nimble hands. He cried out in pain. I have to do this I thought. I raised the trident at the boy preparing to strike down on him. Hesitation took over my body. He reminded me so much of my brother, Eric. I threw him a small pack I found by my leg, picked him up by the shoulder and fled the bloodbath as fast as possible. The girl from District 7 threw an axe at us. It did no good and barely made it a few yards. I kept my eye on the kid, who would possibly my new alliance. He WILL prove himself, I thought.

Day 1)Bloodbath - Kert {District 9}

Yeah, I wasn't the oldest tribute around.. But I was sure I had more brain than the rest of those Rim-Witt's.. The Gong went off, I raced for the nearest weapon. There! A triple bladed spear! or was it a trident? Well.. whatever it was it looked deadly. I tried picking it up, but something pulled from the other end. My forehead burned with fear, my gut sunk hiding somewhere in my body. Another tribute, much older than me had picked it up from the other end. He twisted the weapon. I realized I was holding the blade. Blood dripped off my fingers. I fell to my knee's, crying in pain. He was about to finish me, but pity got the best of him. He lowered the weapon and threw me a small bag. He picked me up by my shoulder and dragged me out of the bloodbath. Wow... now THAT'S a way to form alliance I thought. We continued running west of the plains that lay around the Cornucopia. I turned my head for a second, to make sure no one was chasing us. An older tribute girl threw an axe that hadn't made it very far at all. Rim-Witt I smiled. Someone challenged her throwing skills, and put their javelin through her left shoulder-blade. She coughed up blood. Another tribute, possibly being her District partner ran up to her and fell to his knees. He begged her to stay with him. Another tribute put a dagger into the boys neck. The District of 7 unimaginably furious. We made it out of the plains and found ourselves in a tall pine forest. We would have to find shelter, or a place to hide. These games, my District might even stand a chance, oh and yes. I will prove myself.

Day 1)Bloodbath - Ceaser Flickerman's Report

Wow now that was brutal! As usual, we have our career pack beating down on other tributes. And you see, what I find very special about this bloodbath was that many tributes found themselves... Deceased along with their district partner's. Both 5,6 and 7 lost their chance for this years Hunger Games! Here's a replay of the District 5 female; Ellena slipping off of her plate. How sad, she was a very beautiful young lady. The District 5 male;Roland finds himself pinned to the by the District 8 male ground and beat to death with a machete. Followed by the alliance from District 6 partners; Robbie and Megan attempt to loot items from the opening of the Cornucopia and both find themselves deceased by the careers. The District 7 crew; Jaiyo and Taisha who appear to be lovers at the hands of the District 10 male; Zenen, and the District 8 female;Luna. Lets have a quick moment of silence for the fallen, who will never be forgotten.... ... ... ... Now that wraps up our report for the first day, lets have a look at the list of the fallen.
