Kote "The Wind's Wrath" Erion

The wind...she calls to me...

Another damned fool getting himself noticed by the Capital dogs... Kote scoffed with disgust as, what he presumed to be, a family was forced into the Capital building. The day was as normal as one could get around Deora. Yet the wind was unusually menacing. It thundered through the streets, making the young and elderly struggle to walk. The raging wind mimicked the mood of Kote, always in a foul mood whenever it came to the Capital building, the final resting place of his father. Memories of Kote visiting and hearing blood curdling screams made his anger grow; he knew that one of those voices was his father's.

Uttering a few words to the wind, he commanded it to veil his face with a thin layer of smoke, to obscure his face just in case anyone was curious to look him in the eye. It had taken him years to be able to conjure up such a simple trick, but it had proven to be handy when it came to stealth. Normally, he would risk his life for some pathetic, wretched family. They all had their worries. Nothing good ever comes out of sticking your neck out for anyone else. But this situation was clearly different to him. The guards posted outside were heavily armed, more so than a regular detainment. Something unearthly was brewing and he could sense it.

It did not take long for Kote to infiltrate the Capital building, though it was undoubtedly difficult. On his way inside, Kote had to deal with several security measures he would have rather not dealt with. Without having any other choice, he distorted the air around himself, creating a minor illusion. The eye could perceive his movement, but they would always second guess themselves, dismissing it as a trick of their mind. Another handy skill but more energy consuming than the smoke. Still, no trick could help him with the machines that stood in his path. Those were overcome by dexterity an average human would not have. To be perfectly honest, however, all he simply accomplished was slipping passed a door as soon as a guard passed through it. It was not exactly enthralling or dramatic, but it did get the job done.

Soon Kote found himself in a room heavily occupied by machines and monitors. His eyes scanned every inch of the room, his skin crawling at the site. What the hell do they do here...? This...this could not be what my father was put through...could it? Distracted, Kote almost walked right into an older man who was busy making his way towards one of the machines. If the man had just been a few steps faster, he would have collided directly with Kote. For that notion, Kote cursed himself at his recklessness and made a mental note to be aware of what he was doing. Then his eyes found two that were around his age. There was no mistaking it. Inside the cell were two that had a similar aura to his. Protect them... His eyes widened as the wind whispered in his ear. Now he knew why he was guided here. The wind had called and he obeyed, even though one little slip up could mean the end of him.
