Persentisco Cogito
The persistent thoughts that run through my mind. Nothing more. Nothing less.
G'day Mate
So I'm going to put my trip blog in ehre today, because I don't have much time tomorrow. Enjoy my speeches while I'm here in Australia.

July 7

Hey all. This just in from down under-

-You smell.

Just kidding, just wanted to give y'all a hello from this place I'm in. It's a place called Australia. Ye' ever heard of it? No? Well let me tell you about what I've done.

First off, the 14 hour trip from LA airport to Sydney. Not to mention to 2 hour flight from Calgary to LA, but that wasn't all that bad. I was going to go crazy from sitting and not being able to sleep, because in Economy class, there is no chance of a comfortable position unless you were in an aisle seat, or a window seat. I was neither. But there were in flight games and movies, a couple that I wanted to see, but I never was able to catch the beginning of the movies. So I pretty much saw none of all seven of the movies. Instead I because the planes Tetris and Bounce queen. Bounce is what I call the game with the ball, the paddle, and the falling blocks. Know it? Good. So I played those games plus miini golf and electronic checkers for the duration of my flight. I tried to sleep, but not a chance.

Then we arrived in Sydney airport and got the wonderful task of proceding to the baggage carosel, with all 108 Royals members, the bloody thing was circled with the red and white jackets. We managed to convince a few people we were a water polo team, but I walways felt guilty and told them the truth. That we were a world famous marching band. I don't know if they thought I as telling the truth or not.

After that catastophe, plus the screening after customs, which had Morgan explaining that a canister was just Maple syrup, we moved onto the buses. They drive on the wrong side of the road. I remember feeling a moment of pure panic when we saw a bus turn the corner and come towards us. Then I felt silly. They even have signs on the roads right before crosswalks to tell you which way to look for oncoming traffic. They realized that tourists are stupid, and they try to help. Straight from the airport, we went to the zoo. So many things to see in the zoo, I even saw dingo's being fed. Learned that the water around Sydney is so polluted that the people don't even eat the seafood from there. Saw a black swan attack a duck (even got pictures of it), had an emu chase me around, even was able to see Koalas move. By the way, thanks to the emu, I now hate birds.

From there we went to our hotel, which only had three elevators, one had this nasty habit of getting stuck. And no stairs. It was a rediculous set up, and ended up causing about a half hour to get to your room and then another half hour to get back down. I cheated and took the service elevator, because I'm smart like that. the next night we went out for supper, and Riley, Brandon, Vance, Peter, Diana, Erin and I went to the boat restaraunt. Guess what they served. No, seriously guess.

Kangaroo.

I ate Kangaroo steaks. Mrrr, SO Good! But you'd never guess what played while we ate it. The Entertainer. The piano song, The Entertainer. It is now known as the Kangaroo Song.

After we had a sleep, we went to the Sydney Opera house, and that was a fun trip. We never went inside, but it has a dazzling view. Not kidding, some of the pictures I took of it are beautiful. I like it lots.

Then we packed up and went to Newcastle. Thats where I am now. 11:10 in the morning, sitting at my billets computor, and typing this all up for y'all. To be perfectly correct, I'm in Raymond's terrace, almost a suburb from Newcastle. My billets is a good little Christian family. Praying and Thanking and the whole nine yards. The three daughters are practically wearing habits, and the son calls us 'Miss ---'. I'm going to go insane. Not kidding. I'm going to crack and make a shot or a smartass comment. Or say to them 'I'm a lesbian,' and see if they kick me out. And they keep the house so bloody COLD! I went to sleep wearing my sleepers and a hoodie. And was still chilly. They don't let any sun into the freaking house. And its tiny. One floor, all painted in greens with this horrid carpet. They haven't done anything to this house since the mother's mother lived in it.
Thats a fact.

I miss you guys. Times lots. I'm not feeling homesick, but I am missing my buds. I'd call and say 'ello, but it costs so darn much. I even kinda miss my kid brother. Kinda.

What are y'all up too? Give me a message. I can't promise that I'd get back to you anytime soon, or even before I got back to Canada, but it'd certainly be a nice thing to read.

Miss you lots. X's and O's to all.

July 8

I pet a koala today... They feel kinda like sheep. But they smell just a bit better. Sheep are everywhere around here. Like how cows would be in Alberta, here there are sheep. Wild cockatoos are here too, noisey little buggers.

Still in the cold house, but I'm getting used to wearing two pairs of pants, instead of boxers, to bed.

July 11

New billets, and I coiuldn't be happier. The whole family is crazy and I couldn't feel more at home.

The little boy, a three year old named Ethan, or 'E', ran around as nekked as the day he was born. I had to sit down I was laughing so hard, mostly because it reminded me of my little cousing at our last family reunion. I felt so relaxed with them. Tayhla was the next oldest at 11 years and then Mitchel at 13. He reminded me of Ian so much I couldn't help but rib him about every little thing. he took it all in stride. Kyra was 15 and she was so neat we hung out near the whole time. Such a little bugger, she made me smile at every turn. Her best friend was a guy named John-o, and him and I hit it off right away. He reminded me of another Neil, except just a tad bit more straight. Just by a little.

I wish I could stay here for a couple more days, but we have to leave for Seaworld day after next. Kinda excited.

July 14

Seaworld is so pretty. We spent the whole day at the themepark, and I got lots of pictures, but tomorrow we head off to Brisbane to another billet group with the Marching eagles.
Kinda apprehensive about it.

July 16

Alright, it's not bad here. the billets are kinda odd, and I'm getting along much better with the boys then the girl. Haydn, without an 'e', and Laetheem (Lay- them).
I keep on getting his spelling mixed up. I'm pretty sure I sent three different versions of his name around in e-mails.
The girls name I don't remember, but she's a popular and we don't really get along. She's 15 and taller then me, which I guess isn't saying much, but she's taller then alot of the girls. She looks about 17-18.

We were watching one of the best shows ever last night. Wonder what it was? Dirty Dancing - Havana nights.
But food time. Gots to go.
