The Celestial Samurai: The Goddess Chronicles.
Kin's Background and history.
Chaputa 11 : Kin no Doki (The Wrath of Kin)
Nymia was the first to speak as she stared at Crystania angrily, her hands beginning to clench into fists.

"What is the meaning of this? What have you done to him?!"

Crystania took a step back, shivering lightly as she remembered the pain that she went through, her voice trembling heavilly as she spoke.

"Pronima wanted me to do it.."

Nymia, Masamune and Muramasa looked at Pronima in unison. Muramasa was the first to speak walking toward Pronima.

"What could have possibly posessed you to wish such a thing as this on him?" She glared at her angrily, her normally calm and stoic face twisted with anger.

Pronima merely shrugged lightly as she replied.

"I needed his shadow abilities taken care of is all. They were becoming a nuisance. I couldn't even train him properly."

Nymia mumbled under her breath. "You mean beat him properly.."

Kinohki's crystalline hand twitched lightly, catching the attention of Crystania. He picked himself up and stood there, staring directly at Pronima. His normally cheerful face was replaced with one of rage, hatred and anguish. His sapphire blue eyes glowed furiously as his fists clenched slowly, his right hand making a loud grinding sound from the crystalline skin being stretched and forced together.

"You...Used Crystania...To do this to me..?" He seemed to snarl as he spoke, his long silver hair, normally flowing down his back, was raising slightly and waving, as if caught in a gentle breeze which seemed to become worse.

Masamune looked over at the Celestial. Muramasa had began drawing her long sword as she spoke.

"Damn, looks like we're going to have to go through this again.."

Masamune stopped her, placing her hand infront of him. "It's not the other one, look at his eyes. They're still blue. Hold on a second, he's focused solely on Pronima. The other one was attacking all of us."

Muramasa nodded lightly and sheathed her sword as she looked over at Pronima. "I'm not helping you this time. You'll get whatever punishment you deserve. Maybe you'll learn that Celestial's aren't some toy you can beat and throw around."

Pronima's calm face became replaced with a bit of fear as Kinohki addressed her so harshly. Normally he would smile and shrug off her beatings but this was the first time she encountered a vengeful attitude from him. Under the others gaze, she shrugged off the fear and laughed lightly, taking the whip from her left side.

"Oh come now, you've never stood up to me before. What makes you think you can now?" With that she cracked the whip back and lashed it out at Kinohki. With lightning speed his crystalline hand caught the whip and halted it immediately, holding it tightly in his hand. He then took a step forward. The moment his sandal hit the ground, a large invisible force was released, leaving a small crater to where his foot had come down. His long silver hair by now was waving wildly as if caught in the winds of a monsoon.

"You think you're mighty enough, yet you encounter even a bit of competition and you're suddenly afraid? What's the matter, Mistress Pronima? Are you afraid of the one you've abused so long? Afraid that the pet has finally come to fight back..?" With that he jerked the whip out of her hands. "You don't scare me." He took another step forward slowly with the same result.

Pronima, becoming frustrated at her own fear suddenly lunged at him, reeling back her fist and aiming it at his face. He ducked down underneath her attack and grabbed her wrist. With a sudden movement he used her own speed to throw her at the wall. Putting his right hand out, a small blue orb began to focus infront of it. As soon as it had appeared a large blue beam shot from it straight into Pronima's stomach as she had hit the wall, forcing her through it and rolling on the ground. He quietly stepped through the hole, the others following him and talking amongst themselves.

Nymia looked over at Masamune. "Shouldn't we help her?"

Masamune shook her head. "She has to deal with the consequences of her actions. As does Crystania if he chooses to come after her next. They're the ones that betrayed him, it's not our business."

Nymia nodded lightly. "But still...She is my sister..."

Crystania had looked over at Masamune. "After me? You mean he may come after me?"

Muramasa answered as Masamune was watching intently. "Right now he's too consumed by rage. But then again, dispite the fact that you did it to him, he chose to go after Pronima first. We'll see." Crystania nodded and began to shiver a bit in fear as she watched.

Pronima had stood up, shaking off the damage. "Damn.." After that she grabbed one of her bladed sais and again lunged at him, slashing across the young celestial's left side and leaving a deep wound on it. He let out a small grunt in response to the pain and bleeding. Throwing out his right hand, a long katana like sword with a silver mirror finished blade appeared in his crystalline hand, a tranquil blue aura surrounding it.
Pronima jumped at him, coming down with an overhead slash. As she came down, he sidestepped and come back with an upward slash, connecting to her leg. After she had put her feet down, he come forward and slammed his left foot into her left shoulder, again sending her rolling across the ground.

"What's the matter Pronima? Having a bit of difficulty?" He snarled at her as she stood up.

Pronima, oddly enough, laughed lightly. "I've had enough playing around." With that she raised her right hand and snapped her fingers, five large stone like objects appearing around her. Each one looked to be just a large boulder, yet on the sides of them they had some strange runic markings and a large red jewel on the bottom of each. She then reached down and drew her other bladed sai. Kinohki looked at each of the stones strangely, noting the runic marking.

Nymia gasped as she saw Pronima summon the stonlike objects. "She's going overboard. I've not seen Pronima use her Angelus attack in ages. She may kill him!"

Muramasa by now had begun to grin as had Masamune. She then looked over to her sister. "Things have become interesting now haven't they Masamune?" Masamune chuckled lightly, nodding a bit. Crystania by now, was standing behind Masamune, watching over her shoulder quietly.

Pronima crossed her sai blades in an X fashion infront of her chest as the angelus stones hovered above her, focusing on the young celestial. A golden energy began to focus around her blades as the rubies in each of the stones began to glow. After only a moment she swung her blades at Kinohki sending a X shaped golden wave of energy at him as the stones fired a brilliant white beam of their own. The moment the two energies connected upon him, a large dome of white energy enveloped the young celestial, the goddesses just stood there, the forcing winds created from the blast having no effect on them whatsoever it seemed. As quickly as it was created, the dome of energy had disappeared. In the middle of a large crater stood Kinohki, the silver blade in the ground and a small shield of blue energy surrounding him. He picked up the blade out of the ground as the shield disappeared.

Within a moment, Kinohki lifted his left hand silently and snapped his fingers, raising them upward as he done so. Immediately, crystalline spikes began to rip out of the ground torwards Pronima. She jumped to the left as the Angelus stones, again sent out their beams of light, shattering the crystalline spikes. Again he snapped his fingers, this time dropping his hand downward as a large crystal stalagmite had descended upon Pronima, again the same result happening. Seeing that his ranged attacks had no effect, he began to charge towards her, dodging the holy beams from the Angelus stones and reflecting some with the silvery blade he held.

Upon getting close to her, he began his attack by slashing at her horizontally which she caught with her left sai, snaring the sword in it's blades as the Angelus stones began charging again. She then came around with her right sai with a vertical slash. As soon as she moved, Kinohki switched hands, grabbing the hilt of the silvery blade with his left fleshy hand and capturing the other sai with his crystalline right hand.

"It appears that perhaps this crystalline half isn't so bad afterall. Let me give you a bit of what it felt like.." With that he released her blade and grasped her wrist with his right hand. Upon contact it began to crystallize as Pronima let out a bloodcurdling scream of pain. At that moment the Angelus stones had become fully charged and let out their holy beams at Kinohki once more. He let go of Pronima's wrist and jumped back quickly, the beams searing through the marbled sidewalk of which they were standing on. A small ring of crystal had formed around Pronima's wrist as he grinned malevolantly.

"Don't worry, your wrist will return to normal atleast. Mine however is permenant." He began to scowl. "I've had enough playing." Raising his right hand, he took the silver Masamune sword and shoved it's blade in the ground, forming the protective blue barrier he had earlier. This time however a circle of runes began to appear beneath him, each one sending a pillar of light into the heavens as it became active. A brilliant white light began to channel infront of his crystalline hand, almost holy in it's appearance.

Nymia's face became deathly pale as she observed the fight. "A Runic Cannon?! He's going to kill her!"

Masamune nodded lightly as well. "I think we should intervene now."

Asura stepped forward from seemingly nowhere. "Don't bother. This Celestial isn't your normal type. Oddly enough, he's not going to kill her. She'll be reincarnated after he's done, that's for certain, but he's not charging his runic cannon with any mana. She'll be fine. I have dibs on the next fight."

The others looked at Asura, Muramasa being the first to speak. "Just where the hell have you been hiding?"

Asura looked over at her. "There's no reason for being so crude about it. I've had some things to sort out. I'll explain later."

Muramasa nodded, turning her attention back to the fight. Pronima was desperately trying to break the barrier which surrounded the Celestial as the last rune was about to charge. As the last pillar of light reached for the heavens, the holy light that was channeled infront of his crystalline hand suddenly shot out at Pronima, spreading wide and searing the ground as it sped toward her. Pronima crossed her blades infront of her, holding her own against the cannon's beam for a moment, actually pushing it back before she was overwhelmed. Being absorbed completely by the blast, the last that was heard was a bloodcurdling scream. Once cleared, all that was left of Pronima was a small pile of sundering ash and a large smoking path of destruction that was cut by the searing beam.

Kinohki lifted the blade from the ground and fell to his knees, catching himself with his hand as he was sweating heavilly.

Asura walked over and stepped infront of the Celestial at the edge of the crater he was sitting in. "Have you calmed down enough yet or do you want to fight still? If so I'll make things interesting."

Without any hesitation the young Celestial lunged at Asura, still in his rageful state and swiping at her with the silvery blade. Asura merely grabbed his wrist as a look of surprised came over Kinohki's face.

Asura shook her head disappointedly. "That blast weakened you too much." With that she came down with her elbow to the Celestial's back, slamming him hard enough to the ground that he actually bounced back up towards her. With that she immediately lifted her leg and slammed her heel down into the same spot in his back. Upon hitting the ground, the young Celestial actually spat up a small pool of blood. She dug her heel into his back for a moment before straddling him and sitting down on his back, prohibiting his movement.

"So are you calmed down enough yet?" He growled angrily and began to try and push himself up. With a quick blow, she struck him in the back of his neck with her palm. "Stop it. Just give up and stop torturing yourself. I know you're angry, but you've already gotten even with the one who deserved it. Leave the others alone." He nodded lightly and lay there quietly. Sighing dejectedly, Asura lay on top of him, wrapping her arms around his neck lightly.

"I'm sorry I've not been around..I should have never left.." She shook her head lightly. "I should've been here to better protect you. I'm sorry.." A single tear seemed to stream down Asura's face as the exhausted Kinohki finally fell asleep, the Runic Cannon causing him too much fatigue. Crystania meekly walked over to Asura.

"Do..Do you think he'll forgive me?" Asura looked up at Crystania.

"For what? I don't think he was angry at you. You're like him, you're young and he sees a friend. We'll find out when he wakes up. For now, let's get him to his bed and let him rest. Pronima will be back in a day or so. He didn't sever her essence link."

Asura got off of Kinohki's back and helped Crystania lift him up, taking him back to his room and laying him down quietly.
