Remedy for Amnesia
Hmmm... what was I going to write here again?
Hanging around ghosts? o.O
Okay, I copied the next bit out of an e-mail I wrote to a friend and edited it a bit since I couldn't be bothered writing it out again. *Lazy* ^^;;

The other day I had driving lessons with my uncle. I spent an hour driving in circles around an empty carpark. It was fun being in a car for the first time. 3nodding Then later that day, my uncle took me to an empty suburb to drive around the streets. It was so scary driving on an actual road and everything! Well, it wasn't really "scary" as such... "surreal" would be more accurate. I couldn't believe I was controlling the car. I kept laughing nervously so my uncle kept reassuring me 'cause he thought I was scared about driving. I was actually treating it like a game (like in Intencity!) or like when I drive Bumper Cars. So I had to keep telling myself, "Crashing is not fun, so don't do it." blaugh

Luckily, there were no crashes, or accidents. But I had one guy beep his horn at me 'cause he was behind me, and I was going to transfer into the left lane (where I should be), but he moved into the left lane too, so I moved back into the right, and he did the same. We didn't know who was going where, and he got angry at me for driving in both lanes. >_<;; XP Then I drove home. Now that was rather exhilarating 'cause I had to go down a main street. It was quite busy, so for the most part, I stuck on the slow lane, but I had to start moving to the right lane since my flats were on the right. It was scary having all those cars rush by on both sides. xp And seeing as my entire driving experience was a little more than 2 hours, it was completely different from the empty carpark - which was pretty much like when you drive in circles in a Bumper Car. 4laugh It was a good first day of driving lessons though. whee

However, on the way home from work today, my mum was saying how my uncle shouldn't have brought me up there to that suburb since it was near where they buried dead people. o.O And then she linked it to the fact that I became ill the very next day. It wasn't infectious or anything, so I still had to work in the evenings, but I felt nauseous and really tired for a couple of days afterwards and spent a lot of time sleeping when I wasn't working. So that was kind of creepy... I'm not that superstitious, but still... >_<;; I'm easily frightened when it comes to ghost stories and scary things. *Laugh* ^^;;

And now I'm writing this in pitch black darkness with only the light from this computer screen. I'd better stop before I start putting ideas in my own head. An overactive imagination and a scaredy-cat personality do not mix well with ghost stories... >_<;; XD

[And yeah, that was a really quickly-done journal entry. xP]

EDIT: I now know that I wasn't driving near a place where they buried dead people. I was driving down the street right next to the cemetery... -_- The other day I was actually paying attention to my surroundings (instead of just the road and other cars) and I could actually see the gravestones through the foliage which separated the street from the cemetery grounds. But oddly enough, I don't mind anymore. I decided a while ago (before I knew that I was going past the cemetery all that time) that instead of worrying that those dead people would harm me, I would take a positive view and that they were protecting me from accidents while I was learning to drive. ^^ Like my uncle says, if you don't do anything to them, they won't do anything to you. And Casper was a friendly ghost, right? blaugh

P.S. It just struck me that it's a bit silly to write "... where they buried dead people." I mean, it's not like you're going to bury live people... Well, fine, maybe I would. xP

How about you come over tomorrow and we try out the burying alive game? You first~! 3nodding
And wow, this was so long ago... and you already have your licence now, but I agree - it is a very surreal experience when you're in the car. It's like a, "Whoa, am I actually DRIVING THIS THING?!?!" *mini-spazz, then realises that she has to drive, so tries to calm down and concentrate* kind of thing. Then the next moment, what do you know, you've been driving on the wrong side of the road. sweatdrop Hahaha.
