Ani was a care-free, fun-loving dog.
A blac and white bundleof energy.
She was expert at hunting the groundhog.
A faithful, friendly companion was she.
Then came the day before April Fools Day.
"Hello," she barked while Dad drove down the drive.
Running as always, she got in the way.
Being run over, she did not survive.
I cried as we buried her in the yard
A year has gone by, but I still miss her.
Living without her is so very hard.
I wish I could again feel her soft fur.
It is not all pain and sadness I feel.
For her memory makes me happy still.
