Chapter V: Part III

He shrugged before collapsing into the arm chair. "Bored I guess." he replied.

"You were bored so you decided to scare me? Why me?"

"I read the article about you and Morgan Alexander. It said you were a half. I just wanted to make sure." He examined his nails and seemed to have no interests in whatever else was going on. He was more infuriating than Master Morgan.

"That doesn't give you an excuse to break in." I planted myself before the arm chair with my hands on my hips. He looked up at me with a coy smile.

"I didn't break in." He stood up and moved closer to me, "The back door was open."

"No it wasn't. I worn I locked it after everyone had left. Look, I even have the keys right...here?" I checked my empty pockets for them.

"These?" He held up the ring of house keys.

"Listen Draak, I don't know who you are, why you're here or even how you're here, but you shouldn't be especially when Morgan's out." I snatched the keys away from him and poked him as a warning to keep his distance.

He suddenly grabbed me by my wrist and pulled me closer. I dropped the house keys out of my surprise and fearfully looked up into his exotic eyes. "it's you who aren't supposed to be here." His eyes were reflecting the light of the fire and turned a bright yellow.

"W-what do you mean?" I was getting more and more nervous of him, and it seemed to reflect in my voice.

"You don't see what he's doing to you, do you?" He edged closer, forcing me to step back.

"Why-why would you say that?" I felt his grip on my wrist tighten.

"He's manipulating you. Prevoking you until the day when you will actually be worth something to him." He grabbed me with both hands as he pushed me against Morgan's desk.

"Don't say that! You don'tknow my master!" I tried to fight back as he pressed his body against mine.

"I know everything there is to know about him. I know his habbits, his interests, and ...about you." He lowered his face next to mine and whispered the last words.

"No, you're wrong! You don't know anything about me!" I kept my face turned away from his.

The pain in my broken heart seered and sizzled through my viens. I knew Draak was right, everyword wieghed me down with sorrow. A few tears leaked between my tightly closed eye lids and I desperatly faught to control my wounded pride. Draak could sense my weakness and his lips lightly brushed my neck as he whispered one last attack on my loyalty towards Master Morgan.

His blood lust clouded all around me and it began to work out my own lust, but I eagerly faught against the pressure of it. It was coursing through his body now and overspilling into mine. His touches and kisses on my bare skin sent flames of passion through my blood. It took away my breath and my deffenses melted before him. But just as Draak was moving in to claim me as his own, my burning body suddenly felt cold.

Draak had felt the same force as I did and his grip on me hardend and hurt. I cried out in pain and began to struggle. "Let me go! Please, stop it!" I screamed. THere was a loud crash in the hall and Morgan suddenly appeared at the study doors.

"What are you doing? Get away from her!" Morgan's fury was so strong, it made me want to rip my own heart out, even if he wasn't speaking to me in that tone of voice.

Draak pulled me off of the desk and took me as a hostage. "Remember me, Morgan?" He hissed. Fear and realization played across Morgan's face, and he gritt his theath together. "Don't make a single move." Draak warned gripping a hand around my throat.

"What do you want, Draak?" Morgan's body went rigid under the pressure.

"Everything you own." Draak's reply was like spitting flames.

"You battle's with me. Leave Cecilia out of this." He clenched his fists and the room suddenly grew cold.

Draak didn't seem effected by the sudden temperature change. "Cecilia has nothing to do with it. She's just the prize."

Before I could grasp what he ment by that, Draak planted a light kiss on my neck and then he let me go and I dropped to the ground. "Honor my word, I will have your fortune, Morgan, and your pet!"

I angrily looked up and unexpectedly he was gone. I was bewildered and looked to Morgan for answers. "Did he hurt you, Cecilia?" He asked as he helped me to my feet.

"No." I sheepishly answered, but my body was aching from the inside out.

"Did he taint you with anything unwholly?"

"No!" I batted away his hand and helped myself to the large arm chair.

"He won't ever bother you again. I promise you that." Morgan's worry and fear melted together in his words. It was apparent that Draak was the more powerful vampire.

"The best way you can protect me is to give me some answers." My voice was bitter and cold. I was angry that Morgan had inturrupted Draak just when I thought all my senses would blind me and I would have what I have been yearning for all these long years. Yet, I was thankful.

"I can't." Morgan crouched before my chair and took one of my hands.

"Why not?" My bitterness was settling down.

"It...would only...indanger you more." He stroked the back of my hand with his finger tips. Draak's earlier sense of blood lust was still lingering and it was beginning to effect Master Morgan. I could already see the tips of his pearly white fangs resting on his lower lip. The sight made me reel away from him.

"I think it would be better if I went to bed." I pulled my hand away from his and rose from the arm chair and edged away.

He stayed crouched before the arm chair, abashed with his blood lust. "Cecilia," he called gently, stopping me at the foot of the stairs. I looked back at him and he looked as if he were ready to spring forward with a thousand confessions. But he simply said, "Good night, and cover up. A storm's on the way."

"I will." I said and continued up the dark stairs to my own room.
