First things first. I heart animals. I can't live without them in a world of happiness and un-loneliness biggrin . Besides just loving them, I'm also a vegetarian and a protecter against animal cruelty whether to domestic pets or wild animals. I believe animals shouldn't be slaughtered for meat. I'm not sure when I started thinking this but I knew that when I was small I was already upset how people mistreat animals. I had thought of going vegeterian at that age (8 or 9) but I thought as many vegeterians do, that there is virtually nothing to eat if you cut back on meat.
Soon I was just sick of it all. I became a vegeterian. I was 10 years old at that time...and I figured out later on the internet that many people who became a vegetarian had quite a hard time of changing the 'meat eating' habit,. They had to stop gradually. But somehow for me it was different. Becuase I'm a Pisces I guess! biggrin . Pisces are supposed to handle difficult situations or something. stare Anyway, I just CUT it one day. I told my parents, I'm not eating meat anymore. Luckily. LUCKILY biggrin my parents were veryvery very very supportive. My mom was also upset about the whole animal cruelty business but she never became a vegetarian.....
I'm so hurt on how people can just....mistreat animals like that. Slaughter them, Kill them, Blood Sport...
And it's so hard to discuss this argument. eek
