Latias's Journal... Thingy
Ignore... part 3.
Mel (3/9/2007 8:56:39 PM): Brille sat on the edge of the steep drop of the cliff bluff alongside his sister, their guests flanking their sides. The wind gently tugged at all their garments, reminding Brille of his earlier...incident, and causing him to go slightly red from the thought. But he shook it off easily, as he traced the scent of moisture in the wind. "Snow..." he muttered to Regan. She looked up, alarmed. "Now?" She licked a finger and demurely raised it to the air. She nodded to him "Storms always come in on that stupid easterly wind, don't they?" she cursed under her breath, slipping a hand behind her neck, and letting her beautiful pale hair fall down for once. she elbowed Brille, noticing a distant look in his eyes "You okay?' she whispered, low enough for the others to hear only if they tried very (c)
Mel (3/9/2007 9:00:25 PM): hard. He shook his head. "From the West, downwind..." He shuddered, and closed his eyes. "I think they've tracked us..." panic rose in his voice. And they're gaining ground...fast. But I can't see how...I mean, it's usually almost a weeks hike from where we last saw them...at the restaurant..." He turned to his sister, pupils dialated, revealing the full canvas of his deep brown eyes "We can't stay. They're going to be here in less than a few hours, if they continue at that pace..." He got to his feet. Regan cursed "Dammit...why can't they lose some of that intellect and focus on...on...something else other then our impending doom." she cried, her voice full of irony and over-saturated with worry. "We're packing up, folks." he called to the others, in case the scenario wasn't fullly (c)
Mel (3/9/2007 9:04:49 PM): eminant to the other two...but the one could read minds, couldn't she? So if she really wanted to know, she could...at least he thought so, anyways. 'If you can hear me...we're due South-Southeast until we hit the storm. Should deter the erasers for a bit...if we can fly well enough...Think you can keep up in the front and lead with me, navigate?' He grinned widely at her, and threw up large bundles of...stuff...lots of things. And began strapping them all to Regan. "Regan's our packhorse...I carry her, she carries all the stuff." He smiled. She couldn't fly all too well, her wings delicate from an earlier trip to the school...they had scathed off a chunk of her feathers, making her less bouyant in the air, so she tired easily. But she's always offer, out of sympathy, to carry all the(c)
Mel (3/9/2007 9:07:09 PM): belongings, and increasing her inhuman strength to a frightening forte. She was wired in series, while he paralell (oh god..science...help me now...) She had the power, but little endurance, he was average, with more willpower, and endurance than most. he had a high level of tolerance for almost anything. "So...we're just about ready?" He assumed Crescent had told her brother (they're siblings...right...?) about their plans, as he was eager to take off...the less time the erasers had, the better.

Lati (3/9/2007 9:47:06 PM): Crescent glanced at the three with a worried look on her face. "Erasers? Already?" She groaned slightly. "They're like viruses, here wherever we are." She looked around to see if she could carry anything, but then remembered that she had nothing with her at the time. She glanced over at Shadow to see that his hawk-like wings were already folded out and eager for flight. Crescent wondered how he could get ready for it so quickly. Well, he did have his unnatural agility. Nonetheless, they didn't know if the erasers are far away or not. 'Well it's time to find out,' Crescent though and sat on the rocky cliff edge, legs crisscrossed and dark brown eyes closed. She raised her hands and rubbed her temples with her fingered, focusing. Shadow knew exactly what she was doing, so he motioned (c)
Lati (3/9/2007 9:47:20 PM): for the other two sibling to be quiet for a little bit. 'East.. no,' Crescent thought and focused on the presences of the erasers. 'Ah, north-west. Hm.. one.. no.. two.. miles down.' With almost inhuman speed, she opened her eyes and stood up. "The Erasers are about two miles away," turning to Brille and Regan, she continued, "we only have about fifteen minutes before they get here, and that's if they're on foot." A bit of worry and dread crossed her face as the final realization crossed her mind. "If they're in a car or truck, we only have a couple minutes." She opened her jet-black wings and looked at Brille, this time only blushing enough to make her look like she was red with worry and not embarrassment. "We better fly now, if we want to steer clear of the erasers for a bit." (c)
Lati (3/9/2007 9:47:23 PM): Cresent motioned with her head for Shadow to follow and he nodded, his dark brown hawk wings almost fully spread out as he followed Crescent. She jumped off, the steady rhythm of flying in her head, and Shadow jumped after her, his black and red hair flapping back in the stormy wind. As always, he sped off at about thrice the speed of Crescent, almost out of her sight in less than a minute. "Why... you," she muttered, "show-off." (d)

Mel (3/10/2007 11:15:26 AM): Brille looked back to his sister "You confy?" he joked "As comfy as I could be...I guess." she grinned, hands gripping his feet. "Alrighty." He snapped his brilliant chestnut wings open, and with a lurch, pulled them both up into the air, slowly exiting the cliff. The takeoff was always awkward with Regan clinging to his feet, but as soon as regan could get her awkwardly large, lame wingspan open, she took some of her own weight, allowing Brille to speed up. "how long?" "Storms due to hit in about fifteen minutes...meanwhile you heard what she had said about the erasers...." she grinned. "Good thing the sun's not out...your wings would sure stick out more when the sun hit 'em." Brille suggested "It makes up for your good-for-nothing-but-looks ones, huh?" she grinned. (c)
Mel (3/10/2007 11:20:46 AM): "You're the pretty boy." She giggled as he glared at her. He hated being called that. "I'm the practical one. It's always been that way." She added smugly. "Oh, and you must have an argument as to how practical dangling from my ankles is, now, don't you." "Yes, but you'd get mad." she smiled "Now go catch up with them..." Regan urged, tugging one of his ankles. Brille nodded, brushing the odd hair out of his eyes. He needed a haircut..."Updraft coming, bud." she called, he nodded and angled his wings upward, being pulled upwards, and very quickly soaring high above the other two. Circling gently down to meet them, Regan drew in a sharp breath. "they....look!" she pointed, out in the panorama streatching below them. There, on the horizon, were two erasers with awkwardly large wings...

Lati (3/10/2007 9:47:51 PM): Crescent focused again, ignoring the rush in her ears, trying to locate where the erasers were. "They're getting closer. And fast," she mumbled to herself. She could see Shadow way up above her, and he was staring off into the horizon. Wondering what was wrong, she followed his gaze and there they were: Two ugly, hairy, overlarge, erasers. But now as a bonus, version seven point oh. With /wings/. "What did I tell you?" Crescent was close to shouting, "viruses! And now with ugly wings? Just our luck." Shadow swooped down gently on an air current to join up with Crescent and the other two, who were catching up rather well. "What should we do? Crescent? Regan, Brille? Should we steer them off course or just put up with them, fight them?" (c)
Lati (3/10/2007 9:48:10 PM): Crescent relaxed her wings and let the air grasp her and carry her until she decided what to do. Shaking her head, she said, "It wouldn't do any good to just fly off in separate ways," she sighed quietly, "they would just split up and still follow us. We'd be more vulnerable alone." But should they really face them? In the air, the bird-kids had a slight advantage, since they knew how to let the air currents carry them how to take advantage of their distance from the earth, and the erasers were almost too heavy for their wings to support them. Their sluggishness, if they really did remain as heavy as Crescent thought, might just be enough for the four to defeat them. "What do you think?" Crescent shouted to Brille and Regan, "will we be able to take them on?" She flapped her wings (c)
Lati (3/10/2007 9:48:25 PM): for the first time in a couple minutes, and little feather separated from one of the rows of her wing and glided down gently into the tree cover. She them shook her head again. "No time," the erasers were almost fully caught up to them. "We have to face them." Crescent shifted her feathers and glided downward, lower then the erasers, and then flew up behind them. "Stop following us," she muttered angrily, partly in its head and partly out loud, she was in position to jump on the one farthest to the right. Her hair blew wildly in the wind as they finally reached the area of the storm. Shadow carefully observed the sky. "It's going to rain soon. We'd better finish off these monsters soon. At least, before the rain soaks our wings, so we won't be able to fly," he warned the group. (c)
Lati (3/10/2007 9:48:41 PM): He folded in his wings just slightly, enough for him to slow down and take out a switchblade he was hiding in his jean pocket. One of the erasers noticed it before he could swipe it against the wing of his. "Don't you dare use that thing on me, kid," it growled and lunged forward to try to slash at him. However, he was too fast for the razor claws and lost about fifteen feet of altitude from his dodge, but looked back up, smiling. "Sorry, I'm not gonna be able to promise that," and he expanded his wingspan to its fullest, about 16 feet, and flew up, knife in hand. On his way up, his knife found its place in the middle of the right wing and slashed it halfway. (c)
Lati (3/10/2007 9:48:45 PM): The eraser screeched with pain and Crescent had to use her powers to shut it up. "You're a refrigerator with wings, you can't beat us (sorry, I couldn't help it, I laughed when Fang said it)," she muttered and paralized its wings so the eraser fell like a rock down into the trees. "That's gonna hurt tomorrow," Shadow said, and closed his blood-covered switchblade with a sharp snap. His face wore a grin, tinted with an odd evil. "You can take care of the other one, if you want" he shouted to Regan and Brille without even looking back at them. (d)

Mel (3/19/2007 3:41:02 PM): Regan laughed at the erasers, they were useless in the air. "This should be easy..." she murmured, rubbing the small pocketful of pennies in her pocket. "Can you give me some speed?" she asked up to her brother, who instantly began spinning Regan is a tight circle, gaining momentum, he slowly tightened his circle, and Regan hurled the pennies at the other eraser with as much force as the circle, momentum, and her arm allowed. The eraser staggered backwards at the impact of the penny, losing conciousness, as Regan flew towards him, Brille diving downward as he let his sister go; creating two blows to the poor eraser as he fell. Now limp, they let him fall to the ground, not waiting to hear the menacing crack as he met the Earth below. They didn't need him dead- simply too wounded to get (c)
Mel (3/19/2007 3:44:11 PM): back up on his feet. They flew away, heading across the large lake. Brille smiled as he scooped the light body of his sister up, giving her a high five as he dropped her so she was simply hanging from his hands. "I think I might try to fly for a bit..." She whispered, a fire lighting up in her eyes. "If you want to get us there on the quickest route possible, you'll porbably need me." She winked at the other two behind them. 'We need a bit of fun...and I'm sure you two haven't seen our /favourite/ roost yet." (c)
Lati (3/19/2007 3:44:15 PM): Em back.
Mel (3/19/2007 3:46:32 PM): The sun was slowly setting as the four approached the large panorama of menacing 'scrapers that formed the heart of Toronto. Brille chuckled as he set his eyes on their target, the large pointed spire of the tower reaching up at a rather high altitude, and flapped his wings faster, gaining altitude. "So long as we look like birds to them, we are birds as far as they're concerned." He called to the others, headed for the tower.
