It’s the epitome of you and me
Chained up and still flying free
Our hearts plight is to keep the fight
Going on and on and on and on.‎

My ultimatum is to fulfill this fascination
Running hard to get myself
To where I want to be
Our slipshod lives are falling fast
And all beneath us is just glass
So maybe we need to go
Back to the beginning

A missing part inside the heart‎
Keeps us where we are
The glass walls that keep us apart
Are never very far
So take these words and hold them close
So tight that they might break
Hide it all within yourself
And be ready to make your escape

Not all we are is enough‎
To break through that crystal shield‎
But maybe we can find a way
For our hearts to be revealed

So here we are back where we started
But in a different time
And our hearts are whole and beating strong
So we shall fly
Chained to each other, and never so free
Because all I really need is you
