I'm not generally that superstitious of a person. I don't know what I believe, but I'm fairly open to any proof that says "something's out there." And at the Dracula cast party last night (wait... this morning, technically) I got some pretty good proof that ghosts/spirits of the dead exist. It was awesomely creepy. So here's some profiles of the action we got (around 2-3 AM they were the most active):

Amber
Status: Good ghost
Gender: Female
Age: 19 years old
Location: American girl living in Iraq before the war started
Death: Died in a bombing (from the USA)
Comments: Hasn't met any famous people in the afterlife, but she said she would love to meet Bing Crosby and ask "Will you marry me?" She said that the dead can't actually marry each other, but she'd just like to ask. She wanted to meet Bing because of his beautiful music.
Life: A bass player in the orchestra. 5 foot tall.

Rhion (?) or was this KH?
Status: Good ghost
Gender: Boy
Age: 18
Death: He killed himself when someone broke his heart.
Comments: When we asked what we could do for him, he said, "Answer the phone." Which was really creepy, but at least the phone didn't ring. He wanted us to tell his mother he was sorry, since he had killed himself. It was really sad... But since we couldn't help him he left.

Little Boy
Status: Good but shy
Gender: Boy
Age: 4
Comments: He couldn't really spell, and when Tory told him that she didn't like him he left.

Tony
Status: Pervert
Gender: Male
Age: 13
Life: He said that he, his stepmother, and his dad had threesomes all the time.
Death: He died of "horniness..." And now he's perpetually horny, but can't do anything about it since he said ghosts can touch themselves but not each other.
Comments: He kept spelling "Horny" and "Masterbate," which I told him was spelled with a U and we argued about that for a while. He was fairly annoying. He also said he'd make part of himself visible to us that made us all close our eyes for a while and yell at him to go away. Then we were all scared to go to the bathroom, but I figured if that part was visible somewhere I'd hit it with the plunger. Tony also said he was friends with "God" (the most annoying of all), which explained a lot.

God
Status: Bad ghost, or just plain annoying
Gender: "Both"-- though I suspect more male
Comments: "I'm Back", "666" (sometimes more 6's than that), "69" (aheh-- mostly when we were asking about the ghosts that live in one of my friend's rooms, which God said one of them was named Tony...), "God"
Other: He was the only one that kept coming back. (I think people may have gotten him earlier in the evening too, since they said they had the devil--666--and that he said "I'm Back" to them too.) He lied to us a lot (when we asked "Are you messing with us?" he said "YES" pretty much every time). We teased him quite a bit, and had to start asking him about really boring things to get him to leave. He was another arguer (Him: "No!" Us: "Yes!" Him: "No!" Us: "Shut up! You suck!" Him: "Yes..." wink .

Some of the stuff the ghosts told us was interesting (and I'm mainly getting this from the truthful ghosts). Amber said that when you die, you're not tied to a place and you can go wherever you want. Tony said you can't touch other ghosts, but you can touch yourself. Several of them said that the spirits/ghosts/whatever are more active at night, and either sleep or go somewhere during the day-- the board just stopped responding around 4:30 AM, where it had been crazy active for the few hours before that; also when people were using the board at around 11:00 or so the responses were much slower and more jumbled in coming than they were for us at 2-3 AM.

I don't know if the lighting had anything to do with it, but when we were doing it at 11 we used a white candle, and at 3 we just used a flashlight or the kitchen light and it worked fine. Better actually, though that would seem to do more with the time of night than the lighting. My friend whose board, and house, it was told us about using black candles, which kind of freaked me out. (Wasn't there something about black candles in that one movie, "Witches" or "3 Witches" or whatever it was called?) Apparently with white, the ghost can communicate, and maybe move something slightly, but can't hurt you and has to go away when you put the board away. But with black the ghost can do whatever it wants. She said once when she used a black candle she got an evil spirit that infested her house until her family moved. So we avoided that.

And this concludes my Ouija-ing experience! It was massively entertaining and I recommend it for a fun time. Although if you get God, I will feel very sorry for you.
