Daniel: We're gonna be so late! Damn it!
Jenny: Ya well, don't blame it on me!
Daniel: I never said I was blaming it on-
Jenny: Look out!

As Daniel, Jenny, and Kim ran through the streets of Kahona, they were stopped by someone trying to move furniture out of their house. Daniel leaped over it while Jenny and Kim ducked underneath.

Kim: Show off...
Daniel: Hurry up guys! Ibiki's gonna be pissed!

They eventually made it to the ramen shop and Ibiki was standing outside.

Ibiki: You're late. I said two. It's 2:10.
Daniel: I'm sorry... we had *glares at Kim* issues...
Ibiki: That's no excuse.
Voice: Don't be so hard on them Ibiki. It gave me time to enjoy my ramen!
Daniel: That can't be-

Daniel looked into the shop and saw the Hokage sitting in one of the seats.

Daniel: Lord Hokage!
Hokage: Hahaha. Didn't expect to see me here, did you?
Jenny: Wait, he's our temporary sensei?? I thought you said it was going to be a Jonin...
Ibiki: Well, the intended Jonin was appearantly hurt on a mission. So the Hokage volunteered to train you until the exams are over.
Jenny: These supposed exams... they start in a week, right?
Ibiki: Yes.
Kim: One bowl please!

Everyone turned around and saw Kim ordering some ramen.

Daniel: *Leans over to Jenny* Wasn't she just-
Jenny: Don't worry about it!
Ibiki: Anyway... Yes, and I need to prepare my part of the exam, so from this moment on, he is your sensei. Good luck.

Ibiki disappeared, and Jenny and Daniel turned to the Hokage.

Jenny: So when do we start?
Hokage: How about a bowl of ramen first? My treat!
Kim: How many? Because I'm working on my sixth bowl!
Hokage: o_0...
Daniel: If you insist Lord Hokage.
Hokage: *To himself* There better be a Hokage discount, because this little girl is gonna make me bankrupt... I think Ibiki's trying to pull a fast one on me...

A couple hours later outside the village gates...

Hokage: *Looking into empty wallet talking to himself* Hmph... I'll get you back for this Ibiki.
Daniel: Um, Lord Hokage... We're ready to start.
Hokage: Ah, yes. You have all been out here correct? Well, do you know the trees like the back of your hand? No? I expect great Genin such as yourselves to have it memorized.
Jenny: No disrespect, but enough with the sarcasm lord Hokage.
Hokage: This is no sarcasm young lady. When defending your village, you need to know what the enemy may use to their advantage and make to your own. No hiding places.
Kim: Isn't that a bit extreme? Every tree?
Hokage: Oh? Complaints?
Kim: Well, no. I can do it... but I just think that it's a bit extreme.
Hokage: Picture yourself chasing down a rouge ninja through a place you've never been to. They find a place to hide, and you can't find them. What do you do?
Kim: Burn it all down?
Hokage: No... But what if you were chasing him down in a place you knew extremely well?
Kim: Burn it all down?
Hokage: *slaps forehead* Ok, I see where this is going....
Daniel: I get your point Lord Hokage, it's just Kim likes to burn things down...
Hokage: I see that. Hehe.
Daniel: And how are we going to learn the terrain like that?
Hokage: Live in it.
Jenny: What!? We didn't pack any supplies or anything!
Hokage: Live in the forest for a week. You'll see how naturally the trees will come to you.

The Hokage disappeared and the village gates closed.

Daniel: Great. Live in the forest for a week?
Jenny: There shouldn't be any problem...
Kim: Yay! Burn things!
Jenny: No burning things!!!
Kim: But-
Daniel: We'll let you burn the food! We know that jutsu of yours gets the best of you if you don't use it in a while.
Jenny: Just calm down. We'll also let you make the fire tonight.
Kim: So, where do we find ramen?
Daniel: Great... a week with Kim having no ramen...
Jenny: Forget what I said about not being any problems...
Kim: What are you guys talking about?
Daniel & Jenny: Nothing!!!

That night, they were all gathered around the campfire that Kim made, enjoy the no food that they had gathered.

Daniel: Damn it! I'm starving! If only SOMEONE would have killed for food.
Jenny: Hey! I'm sorry that I don't like to kill animals, ok!?
Daniel: Ya, I'm sorry too.
Kim: So guys. When do we find the ramen?
Daniel:Ugh... I'd even eat RAMEN right now...

The Hokage was standing in the branches of a nearby tree.

Hokage: This wont only test their ability of survival, but their ability to put up with each other.

He then saw Jenny hit Daniel in the back of the head for something.

Hokage: This is going to be a loooooooooooooong week.
