The members of the SGC fight to protect Earth at all cost. We fight the enemies of the universe. If the human race actually knew about what was out there, life on Earth would seem a vacation place in comparison. The Jaff, Ori, Wraith and other hideous enemies out there are many, but we will fight to end, to rid the universe of them.

I have a Ph.D. in Astrophysics and I am an officer of the U.S. Air Force. I have served in the Gulf War and was part of the Project Blue Book program (which later became the Stargate Program). I was selected as the second-in-command officer of the newly formed SG-1 while at the rank of Captain.

Since being a member of SG-1, I have seen two promotions and was given command of SG-1 when Colonel Jack O'Neill was promoted to Brigadier General and given command of the SGC. After a brief stint as head of Research and Development at Area 51. I am a vital part of Earth's defense against the Goa'uld and many other enemies, being one of the few people on Earth who understands how the Stargate works.

I have been twice engaged, by my status remains single.
