My Story
My full name is James Pleiades Hawkins, but call me Jim. I work at the Benbow Inn with my mother. We own the place. It's not much, and it's hard work, but it's all we've got.Don't ask me too much about my life. My father left when I was younger. Things just haven't been the same since.
I like to solar surf, and work with mechanical devices. And avoid the cops. They have something against solar surfing in restricted areas. I can even hear them now.
"We apprehended your son operating a solar vehicle in a restricted area. Moving violation, section fifteen, paragraph six."
There was nobody around, and I wasn't hurting anything. stare They just won't stay off my back.
Anyway, as a kid, I always wanted to be a spacer, go out and explore, and have adventures. I liked to read about pirates, especially Captain Flint, and his trove, the Loot of a Thousand Worlds, most commonly known as Treasure Planet. Flint was known to literally appear out of nowhere and attack unsuspecting solar vessels, and disappear without a trace to make his escape.
One day, I'm going to find and go to Treasure Planet. And who knows? I may even figure out how Flint did it.
