Come on, give me comment people!! = (

The boring life story of...

I'm still a guy! I just wanted a chick avatar. And it won't being going back unless I delete this account and start a-fresh, because I've already used my two gender switches.

Name: Chris "Angel" Rodrigez
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Hobbies: AFJROTC trianing (Junior Air Force), art (mostly ceramics and drawing), listening to music (I found this awesome website. I'll put up a link later), writing (I'm working on songs now. They're all "Works in Progress".), reading (I'm into Dean Koontz, suspense novels, modern faerie tales, and old books I haven't read in years!!), Jouralism, and surfing the net (Reading fanfiction, chatting up my old reuptation here, Myspace, and playing games on Pogo.)
Dislikes: People, school, spelling errors, slow computers, stupid people, crowds, screamo music, big projects due in two days, summer, working, my stepdad, people, my sister, P.E., and people
Biography: What's to say? I was born to a single mother who had just turned eighteen, lived with her and my grandparents for eight years of my life, within which my younger sister was born, and have spent the rest of my current existence running from slum neighborhood, to my grandparents, to another slum neighborhood. Just the average life of a Mistake.
Schedule:
Chemistry (Way harder than I thought it would be, but still, like the best science class out there! I can't wait to start blowing things up!)
Geometry (Way to easy for me. I really wanted to take algebra 3-4, but geo is a prerequisit, so that screwed up my plan. Oh well, easy means I'll pass.)
AFJROTC 3-4 (Totally kick-a**, despite the whole uniform thing. It's really fun to learn about the planes, even if you're not going into the Air Force and we have all these fun little things we do. Example: Orienteering Meets. They drop you in the middle of this huge plot of land, give you a compass and a map and say "See ya at the finish". It's totally awesome.
Interior Design (Totally worth the boring lectures and long notes. We're designing scale models of 20th century chairs right now. I'm doing the Marshmallow Sofa!!)
Lunch (I don't have it with my friends this year. sad Totally depressing, but what are you going to do? Besides have your closest friend ditch almost every wekk. ^^; wink
English (Totally boring. Haven't we gotten enough of the six traits by sophmore year people? And can't they come up with better prompts than 'A Memory Long Passed'? Jeez.)
World History HONORS (I <33333 this class! I would go crazy without a history class. I can't wait to take the AP one next year. And my teacher is crazy and I love her for it! It makes everything more interesting.)

Past Reads
Stormbreaker - The First Alex Rider Adventure by Anthony Horowitz : This was an excellent book and I can't wait for the chance to reread it. Alex Rider is your typical English school boy: he bikes, hangs out with friends, plays soccer... But he doesn't live with his parents. They both died shortly after his birth and his uncle, Ian, took him in. Now, at age fourteen, Alex is left on his own after Ian's death in a car accident. But was it really a car accident? Alex starts asking questions and gets the answers. Answers he wasn't expecting a job he didn't ask for. Mean while, a man worth millions donating brand new, state of the art computers to every school in England, one for every child. How does this tie in with Alex, his uncle and a mysterious man named Yassen Gregorovich? Read it, it's heart pounding!
Pendragon - Merchant of Death by Stephen R. Lawhead : OMG I can't wait to get the rest of this series! Jumping through wormholes to completely different times and worlds? A fantasy nuts dream, trust me.
Oh My Goth by (Currently Unknown) : It was funny and dramatic, something I really don't need more of, but it's still fun to read.
A Living Nightmare by Darren Shan : Vampires have always been a favorite of mine. But they're also one of my biggest pet peevs. They have to seem a little realistic, because I, personally, believe in them. A living Nightmare lives up to my expectation, including deadly spiders and crazed wolf men.
Tithe by Holly Black : I've read this book a few times and I can honestly say, I still freak out when Janet dies and Corny is stuck under the hill as a puppet for the fearies to toy with. This is a great book, but I'll warn you now that Corny is gay! Don't like it, don't read it!
Valiant by Holly Black : This one was my favorite in the series for a long time. Someone's poisoning fey!! And everyone blames the innocent! I love the plot to this one. A human and a troll together romantically!! I never thought I'd find a romance I actually loved, but this proved me wrong.
Ironside by Holly Black : This book made me happy. And it made Corny happy, too! And there's a fearie casting a curse on someone in this one!! But two people die and that sucks. One really great guy... who's not really that great when you think about it, but I loved his character. But read it anyway. It's a great book!
Prom Dates from Hell by (Currently Unknown) : This book combines all the seriousness of the Holly Black series and all the fun of Oh My Goth. I'm beginning to beleive some of the thing they keep using really do ward off fearies though, so maybe it's time to move on to a more real subject matter. = P
City of Bones by (Currently Unknown) : It seems my quest for reality has been delayed. Lol This book is like the Holly Black series in many ways, but this one adds a number of different underworld creatures. Vampires, Werewolves, Fea and Shadowhunters make an appearance as do Luis and Val if you're paying close enough attention. ; ) It's a long book, but it's one of those ones that you never want to put down, so you could finish it pretty fast if you had a couple of days of nothing scheduled.
Tick Tock by Dean Koontz : This is an awesome book. My mom suggested the author to me when I was... seven, but I didn't really get into any of his books until I found this one. Everything I've read by him is a supernatural thiller. Pick up any of his books and I'm sure you'll love them.
Face of Fear by Dean Koontz : This one's about a simple guy who sees the future. New York is using him to attempt to solve a number of murders that have happened in the city. But then he sees his own death. What's a guy to do when the love of his life, his would-be killer and himself are trapped in a fourty story skyscraper in the middle of a snowstorm?
Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz : I loved this one!! I was so sad at the end though. There's actually a sequel to this one that I still need to read but there's also a few of his other books I'm trying to reread at the moment. Poor Odd sees ghost and now a bunch of these demon-esque things are converging on his small town in hords and they never bring good things. *sigh* Things just keep going crazy for poor Odd Thomas.
Life Expectancy by Dean Koontz : I was craving this book for week before we finally found it. Five prophecies shape little Jimmy Tock's life and it makes hell for him, his parents, and his soul make and insueing children. But it's not all bad. At least he had warning...
Artemis Fowl by Eion Colfer : This is another one of those 'read or face my wrath' books. I love this entire series and couldn't pick a favorite if there was a gun to my head. In this first one, little Arty, twelve years old, kidnaps a fearie and turns his house into a stong hold against attack. It involves a blood thirsty troll, a bio-bomb, magic and science in equal parts. A fantasy with that modern twist that makes me go wild for it. Read, you'll understand.
Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident by Eion Colfer : Arty's back, not even a year later. He's found his dad and needs the LEP's help to rescue him from the Russian mob. To bad the LEP has their own problems. Like a goblin upraising and a nutty pixie. The adventures just keep coming. Read it, I don't want to give to much away.
Artemis Fowl: The Eternity Code by Eion Colfer : I actually don't remember much about this one because there's one part that I just can't get past twice. And I can't explain it because it is sooo depressing. But anyway, Arty's gotten to cocky about his own genius and decides to show off to a multi-millionaire with haft a world behind him. That particular multi-millionaire doesn't like a thirteen-year-old out-witting him. Not at all. Things get out of hand, the guy gets his mits on fearie technology and it's Holly, Foaly and Root to the rescue. Holly in particular.
Artemis Fowl: The Opal Deception by Eion Colfer : Don't miss that opal indication in the title. If you've read numero dos, you'll recognize the bad guy. The big thing about this one is that Arty and Butler don't remember anything involving fearies for about haft the book. Which really sucks because they get seperated and put into multiple life or death circumstances that depend on their knowledge. And there's anoher tragity, one that I can get past repeatedly only because we're not quit as connected with this character as we are with the one from the third. Trust me, it's another good read.
Artemis Fowl: The Lost Colony by Eion Colfer : My god, what else can Artemis get himself into? Time traveling demons... wow, trouble stalks poor Arty and his faithful body guard, Butler. And poor Holly, the fearie world hates her... well, the important people at least. The gist of this is that Holly, Butler, Foaly and Artemis have to team up once again to rescue a demon trapped in our realm, held captive by another young genius (ANOTHER ONE? Wasn't Arty enough?). Then, Holly, Arty and our little demon have to rescue a whole island from limbo. The best part about this one? A new magical Artemis that inssures a sixth book. The worst? You'll have to read and find out.
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer : Another great vampire book! I especially like this book because the main character reminds me a lot of myself... only she's female. ^^ Actually, she's just like me. Totally out of place among anyone normal, doesn't match the usual description for anyone from the Valley of the Sun, and she manages to trick haft a dozen vampires... repeatedly! Especially difficult when one of those vampires is her hottie boyfriend and one can read minds and one can see the future pretty much at will. My god! Read this one!!! By far my favorite of the three that are out right now.
New Moon by Stephanie Meyer : This is the sequel to Twilight. Edward can be such a d**k!! Bella doesn't want to be protected from him! But he thinks it's best so he rips her heart and lungs out - figuratively, but she always refers to it as a hole in her chest that she has to hold toegther. If you've read the first book, I hope you understand the implactions of the title. There's a new legendary creature running amok down in La Push, the Quileutes Indian rez. And when Edward finally jumps back into the book, he's trying to get himself killed! What the hell is this hottie thinking? Read it and find out! ~_^ This is another great book. Get it and read it or suffer my wrath!!!!
Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer : It's getting closer and closer to graduation and now Bella's being pulled between Jacob and Edward. Ed's willing to comprise a lot of things, but Jacob is so unbending that it's tearing Bella apart. And someone's making new vampires in Seatle... a lot of new vampires. Very volatile, thirst and strong new vampires. And they're after Bella. Again. AND the Volturi are back for a chance at Bella. I crave the fourth one like air! I want to read about... well I can't say it hear without ruining something. Damn! Oh well, read it!!!
Jinx by Margaret Wild : I love this book. It's kind of like a collection of journal entries from each of the characters with a little bit of observations from the narrator thrown in. It's wonderfully poetic at times and always leaves me feeling mellowed and calmer. Here's my favorite section of the story:
Margaret Wild
Whenever I see Hal,
he always says softly,
"Hello, you."
It sounds nothing special,
but it makes my heart sing.
~Jinx (pg. 191)

It's a wonderful tale about a girl who sees herself as unlucky after her first two boyfriends die and how her family, friends and self copes with the loses and gains of the different situations and how everyone changes. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!
Freaks by Annette Curtis Klause : This book was so good! It's a little difficult to figure out the time period at first, but it takes place around the 1890's, if I'm not mistaken. Younge Abel Dandy is completely ordinary compared to the people he lives with and even his parents, the armless woman and legless man. When one of the acts in the stationary freak show he and his family live with leaves to find more money in Europe, they leave Abel a curious ring that opens new doors for Abel. Soon after, he leaves home in search of his own fortune, only to collide with a circus of people who hate freaks and all those associated with them. They give Abel a job, take it away when his friend, the dog boy is discovered as a stow away, and throw him from the train soon after. Apollo and Abel end up with another freakshow, run by an evil man with no cares for his performers, only his money. Abel has to find a way to get everyone away from him, including a mummy with a curious past and a strange link to Abel. Read it to find out more.
The Supernaturalists by Eion Colfer : This was one of the best book I've read in what feels like forever! I love Eion's work, but The Supernaturalists swept me away and I hope there will be another one. Cosmo Hill, no-sponsor with a life expectancy of only fifteen years thanks to the institute he's stuck in, has a near-fatal incident with a friend, a rooftop and a crazy marshal who hates him. As he's dieing, he sees a little blue creature land on his chest, pulling away a silver stream of something from his body. The creature is interrupted in the process when a group of adelescents comes clambering onto the rooftop, shooting lightning bolts and destroying the thing on Cosmo's chest. The Supernaturalists, as they call themselves, rescue Cosmo and take him back to thier base when he starts babbling about blue creatures. These blue creatures are called parasites and the Supernaturalists are the extermination crew... and apparently, Cosmo is their newest spotter. The twists and turns in this book are.... Just absolutely crazy and for a little bit, all seems well, until betrayals start adding up and the parasites and supernaturalists are put in danger.
Just Listen by (Currently Unknown) : Definately a great read if your into that whole 'the world sucks for me, but I hide it really well' kinda thing. Annabel's life, never really perfect with her sister's eating disorder and her best friend's moodiness, has taken a turn for the worse. Said best friend, Sophie, caught her in a decidedly terrible situation during the summer and now she has nothing left. She models only because she's the only one her mother has left to dot over and her friends have forsaken her. And then Owen Armstrong, confrontational and obsessed with music, sees something personal that Annabel has been trying to hide. So where does that leave her? Just listening to the music.

Biggie Siggie...
