I was made by a women named Ruth in March 1959. That's my birthday. Ruth's dedication to make a 3-D doll came after seeing her daughter; named Barbie, playing with a paper doll. This made her feel bad, and she wanted to make girls all over the world happy with...me. Barbie! I have countless styles and my looks change and change all the time, but essentially, I'll always be the 11 1/2 inch doll that the world has come to love ~ heart
