Manual InfoYoung, beautiful and somewhat mysterious, Aeris met Cloud while selling flowers on the streets of Midgar. She decided to join him soon after. Her unusual abilities enable her to use magic but she seems more interested in the deepening love triangle between herself, Cloud and Tifa.
Indepth Biography
Born in Icicle Inn (although the game manual states unknown, it's obvious where she was born), Aerith was born into a happy life with her father, a scientist named Professor Gast, and Ifalna, who was apart of a race called the Cetra, or the Ancients. When Aerith was 20 days old, her father was murdered by Professor Hojo, who had been looking for Gast, and to take all of his research about the Ancients and Weapon. He kidnapped Aerith and Ifalna, and held them captive for testing for 7 years. Ifalna was able to escape the Shinra Building, and took the train to Sector 7 in Midgar. As Elmyra was heading to station to see if her husband had returned from Wutai on leave, she stummbled upon Aerith crying next to her dying mother. Ifalna asked Elmyra to take Aerith with her. Aerith spent the rest of her 15 years with Elmyra in the sector 5 slums. For years, Shinra and the Turks had been searching for Aerith, to bring her back to Hojo. But almost everytime, she was let go by a childhood friend, Tseng. At the age of about 15, Aerith had met Zack, they dated for about two years, but then Zack was called for a SOLDIER mission to investigate the reactor at Mt. Nibel with Sephiroth (and Cloud.) But never returned. 5 years later, Aerith had had the chance of meeting Cloud. She then chooses to join AVALANCHE, and the journey to save the Planet.
