It is good, very good, to hear from you again, my fellow captain. I am sorry that one of your most trusted officers is now dead. However, I must relay some bad news.

It is often said, "I have good news, and I have bad news." Unfortunately, I only have bad news.

Your latest transmission has been unfortunately intercepted by the Federation, as someone in my crew has relayed this message to headquarters, thinking that it had something to do with your disappearance. Now that it is in their hands, there is some bad information I must tell you. First, you have been erased from all Federation records. The Polaris will not accept Federation outcasts; rather, they will kill on contact. The Aurorans are too weak against Federation technology. The Pirates are always hunted, whether by any major faction, or by bounty hunters. Therefore, the Rebels are the safest bet.
