About: Pink was born Alecia Beth Moore and was an R&B artist. Her first album Can’t Take Me Home contained hits: There You Go and You Make me Sick. However, Pink did not like her image or the type of music she was producing.

She won her first Grammy Award for the song Lady Marmalade which she performed with Mya, Christina Aguilera and Lil’ Kim.

Pink's second album Misundaztood showed the world she was not just another pop artist and produced songs more to Pink's liking. The album was successful and produced songs such as Get the Party Started, Don’t Let Me Get Me and Family Portrait. Her single Just Like A Pill gained her her first number one spot in the UK charts. This album produced an alternative rock sound and image. The album was the second most popular in 2002 and globally Pink was the best selling female artist.

Pink had an appearance in the film Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle and brought out a single for the film: Feel Good Time.

Try This was Pink's third album and was released in 2003. The singles from the album Trouble, God Is A DJ and Last To Know did not do as well as previous singles. However, trouble won her her second Grammy. Pink toured Europe as it was abuge success, but made no plans to tour in the US.

Pink's fourth album I'm Not Dead, released in 2006 was released six years after her first album was released. A DVD was released just after containing concert footage from her Try This tour. Then shortly after a DVD of the I'm Not Dead tour was released.

In 2006 she married Carey Hart in Costa Rica. Pink has real diamonds on her teeth and can be seen on her Stupid Girls video.

PETA: Pink, who follows a strict vegetarian lifestyle, is a prominent campaigner for PETA, contributing her voice towards causes such as a protest against KFC.

She sent a letter to Prince William criticizing him for fox hunting and one to Queen Elizabeth II protesting about the use of real fur in the bearskins of the Foot Guards and the Honourable Artillery Company.
In November 2006, Pink mentioned in the News of the World that she was disgusted with fellow singer Beyonce for wearing fur.

In conjunction with PETA, she criticized the Australian wool industry over its use of mulesing, only after selling out her Australian tour dates. In January 2007, she stated that she had been misled by PETA about mulesing and that she had not done enough research before lending her name to the campaign.

Her campaigning led to a headlining concert in Cardiff, Wales on August 21, 2007 called PAW (Party for Animals Worldwide). This highlighted her involvement with animal.
