Oh Gaia, a "thread" stands for a "threaded discussion" on a message board. It isn't "real time" chat like in instant messages. Basically you post a comment and then other people comment it back in a separate post. Some places a post can sit for days before anyone responds to it, but in our thread - it moves really quickly. If Mike hasn't already I can give you a link to it.
One of the good things about posting in threads on Gaia is that it pays you gold each time you do it.
If you ever have any questions you can ask me if you'd like - or you can even post a question in the thread - everyone there is really nice.
